All-Green, $14 Billion Eco-Transit Upgrade Announced
sneezl.com — Includes new high-efficiency transit routes, eco-buses & more. This project will save 4.7 million tonnes in transportation-based greenhouse gases. That's the equivalent of parking ALL of the cars and light trucks in Metro Vancouver for a FULL YEAR!!!!

- mayorjimmy, on 01/15/2008, -0/+2translation: if you own a car and don't use public transportation, go screw yourself. fork over the money to line the pockets of the companies getting the contracts to make these "green" projects happen and the kickbacks for the politicians greasing the wheels of the process.

I'm one of those people, but I'd like to change, and I see this as a huge step in the right direction. So far, public transit only falters when it comes to convenience, but if they could change that, then why drive at all?
