Bush Cronies Redefined ‘Carbon Dioxide' to Help Polluters

thinkprogress.org — It is common knowledge that carbon dioxide is the same chemical regardless of what source emits it. But for the White House, which unabashedly asserts its anti-environment agenda, the definition of CO2 can change to help big polluters.

    1) there are NO controls over house heating systems that burn fuel oil
    2) No one seems to regulate or have special fire forces for wild fires in California That pollute the entire northern hemisphere more than all the car do for a year.
    3) when the EPA began to regulate auto emissions 1968 in USA it did not include city buses and trucks
    4) Coal fired electric plants are huge polluters with minor regulations and why all that mercury is in the fish you eat. That electric car won't help!
    5) Did we fix the Ozone layer hole or did DuPont dupe the government into regulating R-12 freon because the patent expired and they wanted to assure they make all the $$ on refrigerant

Of course "fire prevention" techniques have caused them to occur less frequently but with greater intensity, which makes them more harmful to us. Finally, the carbon being released by forest fires is not carbon that has been stored in the ground for the past few million years, it is still an active part of the carbon cycle. Oil, coal and natural gas are not.

Being pessimistic in this situation does make a lot of sense, but theoretically they could be putting stricter CO2 restrictions on automobiles or something of that nature. After all, we don't impose a carbon credit system on gas guzzlers yet. I think the local rich guys in SUVs are as responsible for my air quality as much as the coal burning plants.

Global warming is a myth, and even if it wasn't, wouldn't it make sense to regulate things that contribute to global warming more than carbon dioxide, like methane and water vapor? (I am not in any way advocating the regulating of water vapor, but using it as an example to point out how ridiculous it is to regulate carbon dioxide)

The supreme court case MA vs. EPA resulted in a ruling stating that the EPA is required to regulate tailpipe emissions from automobiles. Maybe if we all work hard enough we can blame the crucifixion of Christ on the Bush administration as well. Probably some secret time travel device that Bush himself concocted to go back and alter Biblical history. And maybe, just maybe, those evil and harmful CO2 emissions were created at the hands of the Bush administration for some obscure and deviant purpose of cooking every man, woman and child on the face of the planet simply to see if they can do it.

    Get a job people.... Wake up!!! Global warming is a concoction of the left wing liberal democrats (and Al Gore too) for the eventual creation of a Global Energy Government that can tax at will the air you breath and control the monetary value of every single living being, state, and country on the planet. Hence the creation of the One World Government.

    If you want to live in a third world environment, by all means I wont stop you. Just do it somewhere else so that you don't infringe on my way of life. You can have your horse and buggy, a candle lit mud hut, and an out house do your thinking, be my guest. Maybe you should all move to the rain forests of South America or the plains of Africa and start a tribe or something.

    The Global Warming frenzy is not about saving the planet, it's about Government and money.

    Don't get me wrong - I hate me some GW Bush. All I am saying is that he has given us enough legitimate reasons to hate him that we don't have to undermine the real issues by jumping on every bull ***** bandwagon that rolls through digg.com.
