Climate Change Out West: 95% of New Mexico is Affected
nature.org — A groundbreaking new study from The Nature Conservancy reveals that 95 percent of New Mexico has experienced significant temperature increases over the last three decades due to climate change. Both plants and animals are threatened.

- alapoet, on 06/24/2008, -2/+6The problem -- and the reason nothing is being done, or WILL be done for a few years -- is that some people, including CreateSomeNoise above, are buying into the B.S. being propagated by Big Oil, the auto industry, and other corporations (along with their faithful servants the political Right) that global warming isn't real, doesn't exist, isn't a problem.
Of course, this head in the sand approach is foolish in the extreme. But since it's the only approach that doesn't threaten corporate profits, it's the only one which they encourage. - SpostareDuro, on 06/24/2008, -2/+3for those who do not believe in global warming, all they really have to do is get stats on the changes in climate in just the last 10 years.
