- BalooUrsidae, on 07/04/2008, -0/+2I did that in Hillsboro, Oregon after the neighbors threatened to get the city involved because my grass was longer than the maximum 6" allowed by the fire code. So I ripped out the lawn and replanted it with native wildflowers using seed packs I bought from the United States Forest Service ranger station while camping. Then they bitched that my landscaping eventually grew to be chest high, but they couldn't do anything about it because it was no longer grass.
