- Teku, on 01/09/2008, -0/+4Very cool, the first one would be and interesting new implementation of the old rent a cabin enterprise.
- johlorax, on 01/09/2008, -0/+16Dugg, despite the fact that 3 of the 8 are 'conceptual'. The 'actual' treehouses are much more impressive.
- chummers, on 01/09/2008, -1/+0#2 is just a giant penis and balls above trees
- hardcore718, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1Very cool idea. But the neighbors suck. Go back to Switzerland!
- silverchrysalis, on 01/09/2008, -0/+2termites.
- Berkana, on 01/09/2008, -1/+1Termites go for dead wood, not live trees. A bigger threat would be bark beetles.
- adooga, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1Nuclear weapons.
Hurricanes.
Terrorists.
- xxA7XxaDdiCtxx, on 01/09/2008, -1/+9Buried for tree houses not including water balloon launchers and "No Girls Allowed" signs.
- monkeycatDx, on 01/09/2008, -0/+72, 3 and 4 DON'T count.
I mean really how many fathers have told their kids that Daddy is going to build a tree house and Daddy didn't?
So what makes you think 2, 3 and 4 are going to be built?- emjaymj, on 01/09/2008, -1/+32 was actually built, the site is just lame and forgot to include a picture:

So when do I get these Ipod Nano's. I am guessing that you will track my IP address and send them to my home. Make sure you mark it with a message that says send it to the guy that lives above you. Because I steal WiFi.

Rent a tree house. - shcotttty, on 01/09/2008, -0/+0is it me or does #2 look like a giant....treehouse
- vawksel, on 01/09/2008, -1/+1A tree house should have the requirement that it's completely supported by the trees.
That last one is basically a raised hotel supported by beams to the ground built AROUND some trees...
I realize the problem, the tree grows, and it'd tear it apart eventually, so instead they build it AROUND a tree, and call it a "Tree house".. bah.- kindrobot, on 01/09/2008, -1/+2WE DON'T NEED YOUR RULES!
- vawksel, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1I have a tree house, cuz I planted a tiny tree in my house, therefor, I now live in a tree house.

- bigtimslim, on 01/09/2008, -1/+0You know that you play too many shooters when all you can think about is in what window to set up the sniper rifle.
- DonJohnTom, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1all of these tree houses are better then my house
- MLisa, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1My friends in Del Loma, CA have a rafting business (redwoods-rivers.com). This past summer I went with a group of friends for rafting and to spend the night in their TREE HOUSE. What a kick! The tree house is 30 feet up. It has a deck, lots of windows and a sleeping loft (2 story tree house). We will never forget that experience!
- Emused, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1A few of these are nice, one even gave me a woody, forgive me though I am a bit biased.

Roger the Shrubber - archivist, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1at least we now know where the bathroom in treehouse # 1 is actually located. it's actually outside the houses hehe...
it baffled me for months... - thatsmyaibo, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1Another dumb list. I'm guessing it's top 8 because the jackass couldn't wait for another 2 treehouses to be found?
- eddx, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1You can see more details of the $6 million Alnwick Gardens Treehouse over on http://www.edwud.com/2007/06/17/treehouse-at-alnwi ... with a much better photo than the one in this article
- tcasey22, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1This is about the 3rd time this has been here.
- chummers, on 01/09/2008, -0/+0I had a tree house once... It was basically the same as these... Except it was smaller and only consisted of one sheet of wood... Come to think of it... It wasn't like these at all.. And come to think of it more... It wasn't very safe... Damn parents trying to kill me off... Look who is laughing now... I think I should stop this comment now... good day all
