Burger King To Offer Huge Burger Meant To Feed 6 People
consumerist.com — The 6 Pack, which costs £4.49 on its own or £5.69 as part of a meal, comprises one big Aberdeen Angus patty inside six rolls, stuck together to allow consumers to tear off portions. In one pair of rolls the burger is topped with ketchup, the second has a cheese topping, and the third bacon and cheese.

- Chompy, on 05/21/2008, -0/+13Perhaps.. but I'd still try it, just for the novelty.
- Tyr7BE, on 05/21/2008, -5/+6If pumping squelching fat into the clogged arteries of the nation was playing the piano, Burger King would be a bold unpredictable new talent.
- MRintheKeys, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7Fellas, they have tried something like this before. This isn't a brand new idea.
"In 1987, Burger King offered a set of miniature burgers called Burger Bundles. The Burger Bundles were sold in a set of three or six, much like White Castle or Krystal burgers, but served in a single package. The sandwich was reintroduced in a slightly different format called Burger Buddies. Instead of three or six miniature hamburger patties, it had a single number eight shaped patty that was served on a pair of co-joined buns. The sandwich was sold for 99¢ and was designed to be torn into two smaller sandwiches. There was a breakfast version of the Burger Buddies called the Breakfast Buddies that had eggs, cheese and a sausage patty, again for 99¢. Breakfast menus at the time also began selling mini hash-browns, which resemble Tater Tots. Another variant of the Burger Bundles was introduced later in 1987 in chicken sandwich form called Chicken Bundles." Wikipedia- Surferess, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2Ah, Wiki. Good, because I was thinking "Dude, you WAAAY too much about this!"
- noahhoward, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3Could I just ask why selling small burgers for six people is more disgusting than selling something like a steakhouse burger to one? Or did you even read the article?
- samuraivanity, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2EDIT: I'm moving this comment somewhere else.

- GeorgeStone2, on 05/21/2008, -3/+10People that say burger king and mcdonalds taste disgusting are outright liars.
These companies put millions of dollars into research just to come up with a new burger. And when they do, they make sure it's going to taste good.
They play with our primal instincts. They basically pack the things with sweet flavors. The big mac is a great example.
A very sweet burger.
So no. These things are not disgusting. They are just bad for you. There's a difference, people.- Asrrin29, on 05/21/2008, -1/+8I'm sorry to say but McDonald's beef tastes bad to me, as well as their pickles. It they way they prepare it. Burger king, while no less healthy, prepares the meat in a different way and it tastes much better.
- DoubleTap84, on 05/21/2008, -4/+2Wrong... When I think about eating a Burger king burger my stomach starts twisting and I actually get nauseated. they are disgusting.
- kryptobs2000, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2You guys are all wrong! Burger king is good, mcdonalds is good, and unless green is your favorite color your wrong too! Don't disagree with me because I know I'm right on this guys.
edit: btw, disgusting != bad. I can be disgusted at something that's good. - CeeJayDK, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2I find McDonalds burgers disgusting .. the only good thing about McD is their ice cream.
Burger King's burgers aren't bad , but they aren't that great either.

- EpsilonEX, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2That's how Chili's does their Big Mouth Bites burgers. When I got it take out it was all one piece but was very easily ripped into individual mini-burgers, which is actually kind of a fun thing to do, on top of that they taste really good.
- sjbdallas, on 05/21/2008, -22/+7Screw the burger, I'm interested in the Strawberry Cheetos.
Oh, and hopefully the UK will avoid that burger since they've surely seen how fat americans have gotten from GIANT food.- DteK, on 05/21/2008, -3/+6you gets buried for generalizing.

- rayraym0fucka, on 05/21/2008, -5/+12What does country of origin have anything to do with appetite? Ohh I get it, Americans are all fatasses. While for the most part that is true, there are lot of overweight people around here, I can still eat more than most fat people and I maintain a healthy weight.
I stand 6' at about 195lbs and I think I could eat all six of these with no problem.- 1timeuser, on 05/21/2008, -11/+3I'm 6' 200lbs and I think I would probably throw up after the first burger.
- rayraym0fucka, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3well that's a matter of taste and not so much appetite but I see what you are saying.
- UsedToVacation, on 05/21/2008, -0/+9Americans, in general, eat a lot more during their meals as a culture. Whether you become fat as a result of this isn't what the dudes talking about. It is a fact that we just flat out consume more food over the course of the day. On average, 3770 calories.
- chamberlanderic, on 05/21/2008, -1/+4It is not because you can that you should fill yourself with that crap.
- bobbyi, on 05/21/2008, -3/+4So he says that most Americans can eat all six and you refute it by saying that you are an American and pride yourself on eating "more than most fat people"? Wow, you really showed him.
- noahhoward, on 05/21/2008, -1/+7"Americans, in general, eat a lot more during their meals as a culture. Whether you become fat as a result of this isn't what the dudes talking about. It is a fact that we just flat out consume more food over the course of the day. On average, 3770 calories."
That may be true but Americans, in general, are also taller and larger framed. Therefore the larger diet makes sense.
But he wasn't trying to talk about the fact that we eat more he was trying to make a fat joke based on the misconception that Americans are all fat pigs. - rayraym0fucka, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5@chamber - I totally agree. But just because I said I could, doesn't mean I will.
@Used - I always thought it was Italy who ate the largest portions. I have some italian friends whose parents are immigrants and they eat HUGE dinners and HUGE lunches. I know American's eat the most ***** food. For example 6 greaseball burgers for lunch and then a 1/3lb burger for dinner with fries and an extra large shake.
@bobby - I don't mean to show off my ability to eat six fattening burgers. I was trying to make a point that just because the US is filled with overweight people doesn't mean we're all fat and capable of eating six of these things. I wanted to show him that you can be a healthy weight and be able to eat that much food and that it has nothing to do with being overweight.
@noah - That's exactly what I was thinking he meant.
Maybe I misunderstood what he was getting at and Used is right about his post. I apologize if I was wrong there. - buckbova, on 05/21/2008, -1/+9I can put down all six burgers, though probably wouldn't as I'm not a fan of the "king." However, I can also bench 285 lbs. How many scrawny Europeans can say that?

Self-haters are so funny. - sapient2003, on 05/21/2008, -3/+2I hate how some of you ignorant people have the false belief that most Americans are obese. Sure, a few select people are fat, but that is true most anywhere in the world. Check out any mall, school, restaurant in the U.S. and you will see fewer obese people than others around them.
- kryptobs2000, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Not were I live man. I'd say at least 20% of the people I see on any given day are 'obese.' I'm not talking fat asses but they definitely got some extra weight on them.
- esc27, on 05/21/2008, -3/+180% of the people in your area have 0% extra body fat? I'd say that is extremely healthy if not in a poverty stricken area.
- quaxon, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3Thats *****, ive traveled the world and have never in my life seen so many fat people as i consistently do when i step into middle america. I recently went to Tokyo and I saw maybe four fat people my entire stay there, 2 were sumo wrestlers and one was an american tourist. Everytime i go to visit my girlfriends hometown of Cincinnati i am amazed at how many fat people there are, there are more obese people there than there are healthy, skinny people. There is also fast food at every street corner. Ive seen the same in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Michigan, and Texas.
- sapient2003, on 05/22/2008, -0/+0Properly justified true belief is never considered "*****". Could it be that your alleged girlfriends are obese so they hang out with their own kind for self esteem issues? I live in Minnesota and there are not many fat people around.
- mllawso, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2I guess you're right: I'm an American, and can eat enough food for three people in one sitting. I'm also 135 lbs @ 6'

- joeleslie, on 05/21/2008, -0/+6France, actually.
- ColonelJessup, on 05/21/2008, -0/+11English *****! Do you speak it?!
- ClevelandBrown, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2that's mcdonalds you're thinking of
- Iceian3000, on 05/21/2008, -6/+2I dont think they would go as far as sending anyone to prison for this... but it is a pretty stupid looking burger. Who wants the inconvenience of tearing off a small burger from one giant burger? JUST BUY A SMALL BURGER...idiots.
- GeorgeStone2, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2I don't see this as 6 small burgers. I see it as a monster burger and a challenge of a life time.
- Disjunto, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1this is cheaper :)
- DonnieP84, on 05/21/2008, -8/+2An so sayth the sages of Family Guy:
Security Guard: You're not a shoplifter, you're just a fat kid. Sorry about that fatty, fat, fatty. Hey Tom, he's just a fat kid. Aren't ya fatty? He's a big ol' fat kid. Here's some chocolate fatso.
Chris: Thanks!- corryface, on 05/21/2008, -2/+0that was disturbing
- fezzasus, on 05/21/2008, -3/+5This is priced similar to their one person burgers. The idea of it feeding six is laughable. Especially sat here now, it's been 4 hours since I ate and that's looking good.
- Felixthecat71, on 05/21/2008, -9/+8Well it's cheaper than eating healthy!
- diggit08, on 05/21/2008, -6/+6This is horrible. Has no one seen what happened to Rosie O'Donnel? We gotta start making smaller entrances to Burger King's so the fatties wont be able to get in
- michaelmit, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2hmm.....drive-through?
- JTJ1210, on 05/21/2008, -3/+6Mmm-mmmm. That is a tasty burger.
- shutaro, on 05/21/2008, -0/+8You mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down?
- ColonelJessup, on 05/21/2008, -2/+3English *****! Do you speak it?!
- shutaro, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2What?
- JTJ1210, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1Say what again. Say what again, *****, say what one more Goddamn time!
- luckyguy2000, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2Go right ahead.
- ColonelJessup, on 05/21/2008, -2/+3English *****! Do you speak it?!
- BXRWXR, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4That's six Royales with cheese.
- shutaro, on 05/21/2008, -0/+8You mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down?
- kweee, on 05/21/2008, -0/+17This is NOT food for six people. At least not in any country I've ever seen. Buried as inaccurate yet tasty.
- nicko68, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5Just like a bag of chips is 17 servings. :)
- quickgold192, on 05/21/2008, -2/+6yeah, maybe meant to feed six 5-year-olds. these are six *small* burgers. come on, they're sliders (as has been already said)
- youreh, on 05/21/2008, -0/+8had they not put that red arrow pointing at the burgers i would have never known where to see the burgers.
- STKD, on 05/21/2008, -9/+35"Burger King To Offer Huge Burger Meant To Feed 6 People* "
*or one American.- saigumi, on 05/21/2008, -5/+3Here is a 10 pound bag of rice. It is meant to feed 130,000 people. For all them fatty-fat fats in Japan, this will maybe only feed 30 people.
Good job being sucked into the sensationalistic headline and failing in the use of critical thinking.- gl77, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1my thoughts exactly

- yoda17, on 05/21/2008, -0/+8I'll take two please.
- plizard, on 05/21/2008, -2/+8talk about having an epic ***** afterwards
- CurlyFoot, on 05/21/2008, -2/+2Damn... Its a giant Burger Buddy!! McDonalds just needs to bring back the Arch Deluxe and I'll be good to go.
- tfm4th, on 05/21/2008, -2/+3Ugh! It's just a 6 pack to remove your current 6 pack (like any of us have that anyways) and most likely leave you sitting in the bathroom for a period of time. You know people will just order that for 1... The BK crowd regulars aren't known for over-eating right?... suurre
- SteelFrog, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2"like any of us have that anyways"
Everyone has a six-pack; it's just hidden behind the layer of fat we tend to accumulate.
- SteelFrog, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2"like any of us have that anyways"
- ErikHarrison, on 05/21/2008, -3/+2One more way to sell you more bread and less hamburger!
It's all about portion size, for diet, and for profit. - apackofmonkeys, on 05/21/2008, -7/+5There is a God in heaven....
.....and by eating this thing, we'll meet him sooner than we'd like. - Gwennyk, on 05/21/2008, -6/+3gross.
Don't you think you sell us enough ***** already? - 1timeuser, on 05/21/2008, -5/+4I can have 1 of these burgers and give the rest to five of my friends... or i can have 6 of these burgers and have a heart attack. decisions decisions.
- flibblesan, on 05/21/2008, -2/+1Funny... not.
- Gwennyk, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1I thought it was amusing.
- jstem1994, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5Mmmm lunch.
- RcHer, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2I'm not gonna lie, that looks pretty good but probably nasty when you order it.
- bennjammin, on 05/21/2008, -3/+3This is just the next step in increased portion sizes. Soon, there will be tubs of gravy and enough fries to feed a small African village for a month.
- flibblesan, on 05/21/2008, -1/+6It's not meant to feed 6 people. The burgers are very small. BK already sell a version of this in kids meals which has two burgers. This 6pack has about the same amount of beef as a double angus.
- ThatEvilGuy, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2wow, you sure know your burgers.
- flibblesan, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Nah, I just happen to have friends that (unfortunately) work for BK.
- a8ksh4, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1"about the same amount of beef as a double angus."
none...
- ThatEvilGuy, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2wow, you sure know your burgers.
- kinstray, on 05/21/2008, -2/+7I've already had one... well, all 6! They had them at Burger King in South Queensferry bout a month ago. Really tasty. They are not that big.
- scoobycarolan, on 05/21/2008, -3/+4dude. I'm suddenly so hungry
- trying2hide, on 05/21/2008, -3/+3...and we thought that omelet thing was a heart attack waiting to happen.
I need to go back to school and become a cardiologist. - ThrstForKnwldge, on 05/21/2008, -4/+4Get in my belly!
- smackieattk, on 05/21/2008, -2/+3Waiting patiently to see this tied to George Bush, Barrack Obama or terrorist America...you know it will happen. Get with the program, kooky subculture of Digg!
- foxyfox, on 05/21/2008, -4/+4Yeah, 6 people or you can also say the average American.
