- upick, on 07/22/2008, -14/+2I always preferred pizza hut...
and I always know that dominos were cutting cost and adding crap into their pizza you can taste the cardboard in every pizza... and when you get the super cheap pizza's they look like just the base of a pizza.. hardly any topics on them to be classified as a pizza...
Domino's... BOOOOOOO!- leprachaun97, on 07/22/2008, -2/+5pizza hut and dominoes are pretty much the same thing...*****
- gradivus, on 07/22/2008, -2/+3No, dominoes is slightly better, its almost edible. Trust me, I worked at pizza hut and cant even look at their "food" anymore.
- VacantThoughts, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Where I live the Domino's always looks like ***** and the Pizza Hut is the only other pizza place that delivers so I settle for it.
- Sponky, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Well there's an opportunity to make a killing with a wood fired pizzeria staring you in the vacant thought then.

YOU CANNOT OUTSPICE ME DOMINOS, I AM UNOUTSPICEABLE!- stklaw, on 07/22/2008, -6/+2Next time when you go to Domino's, ask for an extra spice called cyanide.
It's gonna rock your world. - JoeRW, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2The spice is better than most other fast food, especially the pathetic mcdonalds, kfc and burger king versions of 'red hot'.
But yeah I think they need to keep up with our increasingly hard to impress with copious flavour toungues by introducing habanero peppers as an option.
- stklaw, on 07/22/2008, -6/+2Next time when you go to Domino's, ask for an extra spice called cyanide.

- Greatn3ss, on 07/22/2008, -3/+3"Cheese and sauce consuming beasts"
Humorous as it is, from an unbiased viewpoint - a lot of people could be described as such.- yellowswan, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Sounds like everyone I know.
- baldboy7, on 07/22/2008, -5/+2I usually buy onion pizza at dominoes
- shreal, on 07/22/2008, -2/+7The last line, "cheese and sauce consuming beasts" sounded right as i bit into a microwave burrito. I looked down at my food product and shuddered, it was extremely eerie.
- gradivus, on 07/22/2008, -6/+1Gross, you eat microwave food? Glarg.
- gradivus, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1I bet the bloated cheese and sauce monsters are digging me down.
- gradivus, on 07/22/2008, -6/+1Gross, you eat microwave food? Glarg.
- etx313, on 07/22/2008, -2/+0Aww yeah that's pizza Michigan style!
- RobotBuddha, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1The only good pizza ever made in michigan was located in swartz creek, and went out of buisness in the early 90s. Rest in peace, whatever was there before doors galore.
- YoureAllSoDumb, on 07/22/2008, -3/+30Domino's doesn't have to be gross. I managed one for 6 years... If the manager/owner follows all of the guidelines and sells enough to keep the product fresh it isn't too bad at all. I always made my own food with the freshest ingredients in the walk-in cooler. If your Domino's sucks I'm willing to bet it's a lazy owner/regional manager or horrid in store workers. All about the FIFO.
- carrtoonist, on 07/22/2008, -1/+3I have had some decent pizza from Domino's. Its Pizza 73 that always sucks.
- Elliuotatar, on 07/22/2008, -7/+18*****. The problem with Domino's pizza isn't how fresh the ingredients are. The problem is the ingredients are being used period.
And judging by the Domino's tractor trailer that pulls up to the local Domino's each morning, I'd wager a guess you all have to buy the same stuff from the same distributor.
That means you all have the same sauce and pepperoni and hamburger which I can tell just by tasting them that they're overprocessed garbage just like the crap you get at almost any other fast food place.
Taste a dominoes pizza and then taste a bertucci's pizza. Or a pizza made by a high class italian establishment in a 700+ degree brick overn. The difference is astounding.
And if you really can't taste the difference then you've just been eating crap too long.
Just look at the ingredients:
http://www.dominos.com/home/menu/ingredients.jsp
The tomato sauce contains citric acid. Harmless, and probably used as a preservative, but unneccessary, and this explains why it's always seemed overly acidic when I've eaten it.
The chicken contains soy. Talk about false advertising. When I ask for chicken on my pizza I don't expect to get chicken with soy mixed in to make it cheaper to produce.
The beef contains sodium phosphate. There's no excuse for that outside of beef jerky and cured pork products. But there it is again in the cheese as well.
Overprocessed crap. The lot of it... unless you order a hand tossed pizza without cheese, and only veggie toppings, and you're still gonna get that overly acidic tomato sauce.- trentasaurus, on 07/22/2008, -2/+4Domino's pizza isn't as good as other pizza? GTFO!
It's perfectly good for cheap pizza you can get delivered pretty fast. I've eaten plenty of it, I'm a driver there.
The article was funny though. - dedkittens, on 07/22/2008, -2/+1i have worked at a papa murphies (its take and bake) and until you really try old ingredients on a pizza and immediately after with fresh ingredients, then you don't really have the right to say much about freshness not mattering.
you also might want to check in price of pizza in your though process.. 12$ for a 14 inch vs around 20-25 at one of you high class Itilian places. - Elliuotatar, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1I'm not saying freshness doesn't matter. I'm saying that all Dominoe's pizza, no matter how freshly made, is bad because of the ingredients used, and that the ingredients you use is more important than how fresh they are, because no matter how fresh your ingredients are, if you don't start with good ingredients in the first place you're not gonna make good pizza.
Also, $25 for a pizza at a classy place? Are you crazy? Try $12:
http://www.crsparks.com/menu/dinner.pdf - Navicerts, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1they add "beef flavor" to beef
- YoureAllSoDumb, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Dude... Stfu. I'm not comparing to an Italian wood fired pizza. There would be no market for it if it was exactly the same as Domino's, that said you will also pay quite a premium for said pizza. The ingredients are the same you'll find at any chain restaurant. Better ingredients better pizza? That's some *****. They are EXACTLY the same.
- trentasaurus, on 07/22/2008, -2/+4Domino's pizza isn't as good as other pizza? GTFO!
- Kayma, on 07/22/2008, -1/+14The best thing about these Onion videos are the headlines in the last 5 seconds.... I'm still geeking out about "An earthquake wiped out Etch-a-Sketchistan today..."

- eggballs, on 07/22/2008, -4/+1Whatever. What, am I supposed to actually buy and cook my own food now? That's so 20th century.
- Elliuotatar, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1You know there is good food out there which can be had for cheap. Try finding a real chinese food place sometime for example, and you'll get fresh foods prepared in a healthy manner.
I lived on crap like Domino's when I was growing up, but now that I'm a little older even thinking about eating a meal at say, Burger King makes me puke in my mouth a little.
All the good food I missed out on all those years and the time spent eating that crap which clogs your arteries. Such a shame.- mrsammercer, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Sure, in Theory eating healthy is just a small adjustment, but come on. Do I really want to take the time to make my own sandwich? ***** no. Two arby's roast beef cheddars for 4 dollars? It's so simple, it's like human nature. Why do the look at me funny when I drive my Rascal through the drive-thru?
- Elliuotatar, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1You know there is good food out there which can be had for cheap. Try finding a real chinese food place sometime for example, and you'll get fresh foods prepared in a healthy manner.
- Tyrghast, on 07/22/2008, -2/+3you can make like 5 pizzas for what domino's charges.
- lostformat1125, on 07/22/2008, -1/+4you can make pizza for 2 Dollars a pie?.........are you ***** kidding me!....i live in new york buddy....i buy real Eyetalian Pizza.....
- Ramenhood, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Um actually, a lot of pizzas at Domino's is cheaper..(at least on Tuesdays) Me and my mom were just talking about this.
- JonTheGoose, on 07/22/2008, -3/+3In japan, they put shrimp and corn on pizzas.
- Elliuotatar, on 07/22/2008, -1/+3I'm sure they put shrimp on pizza here too. You just have to go to a real restaraunt to get it, not crappy Domino's. A local place serves pizza with bacon and scallops for example.
But I just checked and yep, Bertucci's in fact has two shrimp pizzas:
Shrimp Bella Venezia -
Tender shrimp with garlic, crushed red pepper, fresh herbs, diced plum tomatoes, mozzarella and lemon pepper cream sauce.
Shrimp Bella Napoli -
Spicy marinated shrimp with our zesty red sauce, mozzarella and herbs.
- Elliuotatar, on 07/22/2008, -1/+3I'm sure they put shrimp on pizza here too. You just have to go to a real restaraunt to get it, not crappy Domino's. A local place serves pizza with bacon and scallops for example.
- Tehzz, on 07/22/2008, -3/+3*****' brilliant.
- SquishyMon, on 07/22/2008, -1/+4I work at Domino's and I'm getting a kick out of these replies; also, I loved the steak fanatic pizza.

- AZTriGuy, on 07/22/2008, -4/+1Was that researcher Dan Castenella?
- hijohnmark, on 07/22/2008, -4/+3This video is accurate! Cardboard covered in a wax-like substance tastes better than Dominoes' current offerings.
- f4nt0m4s, on 07/22/2008, -4/+1Whenever I am asked what my favorite food is, I just answer pizza. In hindsight it might not be my favorite food, but I definitely eat more pizza than any other food...and not just quality pizza...I'll eat 3 dollar frozen pizzas, Little Caesars, Dominos, Pizza Hut....maybe this will change after college, but ever since I was a little kid I was taught that you don't say no to pizza.
Pizza is ubiquitous, praise pepperoni! - tehknotte, on 07/22/2008, -2/+1ew are pizza all day diggers submitting all these onion stories now?
- Syphon8, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2All fast food pizza is *****.

- lnthj24, on 07/22/2008, -2/+1I deliever for dominos and I actually find this to be quite accurate. Especially when referring to the oreo desert pizza for having a cardboard like crust
- zclone, on 07/22/2008, -6/+0¯(º_o)/¯ Cheese and sauce consuming beasts!!!!!! BEASTS?!?!
- Disinterested, on 07/22/2008, -4/+2man i want some of that
im hungry - Ramenhood, on 07/22/2008, -7/+1Domino's tastes amazing, ***** you.
- animathias, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1I work for Domino's and I found this quite amusing. Even I wonder just who they're targeting with the constant stream of new pizzas they introduce. The Oreo Pizza was extremely crappy, and the Crispy Melt wasn't any better. I say just stick to the basics: Pizzas, Subs, Wings, Breadsticks, and Pop/Soda. When I want a pizza, I want dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings.. nothing weird.
Too bad I can't download this, it would be on my psp to show to my co-workers.- HoratioHellpop, on 07/28/2008, -0/+0//I say just stick to the basics: Pizzas, Subs, Wings, Breadsticks, and Pop/Soda.//
If those are the "basics" in your diet, it's no wonder everyone's health insurance premiums are so expensive. Try eating real food, *****.

- grneye53, on 07/22/2008, -4/+1Just goes to show when you eat enough "BUSH ADMINISTRATION" ***** that anything else has got to be better and it can't look any worse then Irag does now!
- dillpunk, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1I manage a dominos... If you eat the pizza on any kind of regular basis... you will get fat... and likely sick. Its for fancy food for poor people. Its kind of funny watching new employees slowly gain weight and still ask why i dont eat the food...
Oh and Americans WONT eat anything... Domino's is on its way out of business... thank little ceasars for that - kil0byte, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1hasn't anyone ever had any decent pizza before? Chains are not good. They are not even close to good pizza. I love how someone rants about dominos, but then raves about bertucci's? Comeon! Go try some pizza from a local neighborhod mom & pop shop. I can recommend at least 10 in philly, and a handful in NYC that would destroy any kind off over processed chain pizza. NONE of the chains make good pizza. Sure it's ediible, but far from the real deal...
- xutopia, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1"In other news, the equivalent of 5 Americans has died in Afghanistan today."
- Huangism, on 07/22/2008, -2/+1every time i see the link goes to the Onion network, i close the window cuz it's not ***** real!
