- Cleancut360, on 07/04/2008, -1/+4They made it to the NFC championship game, If any player can make a comeback it would be #4
- rushco, on 07/04/2008, -2/+9COME BACK !!!!!!!!!!!
- theragu40, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Seriously? I have lived in Green Bay since forever. I'm a diehard Packers fan, and a diehard Favre fan. Always have been, always will, even when the Packers were losing and everyone was calling for Favre's head. But even I can't seriously claim that him coming back is a good idea.
Favre got the sendoff of a god. The entire sporting world stood still for over a week. Most of Wisconsin literally felt like it had just gone through a funeral the day he retired. You walked around and saw people, and they all had this look like they'd lost their best friend or something. It was unbelievable. If he comes back, it will negate all that. He's not going to get that sendoff again. His legacy is so perfect at this point, why come back and ruin it?

- tehjarvis, on 07/04/2008, -8/+3Jesus, hang it up already Favre. Quit *****-teasing us with retirement every season then coming back at the last second.
If I were Aaron Rogers, I would demand a trade if Favre came back. That dude has been waiting for his day to start for how long?- Lynx34, on 07/05/2008, -1/+2Sorry buddy, but the media has made it look like this bait and switch. Right now, it's between mini-camp and training camp, so the NFL reporters ahve nothing to do. So they take a comment he made offhand a couple of weeks ago and turn it into a firestorm.
THat's pretty much been the case the last few seasons as well. All the talk has been around him, not coming from him. He's way too classy for that. The fact that I can see Lambeau form my back yard might make me a bit biased, but the facts are all there.
Look at any and all Favre coverage the past few years and you'll see that he downplays everything whenever he's in the conversation.

wow, that looks even worse written down than it sounded in my head- djepik, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1Awesome.
- danharlow, on 07/04/2008, -3/+2Anyone who can continue to perform at the NFL level should be able to play in the NFL. Let him do what he wants.
- paulvq, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1He is doing what he wants. He's retired.
- sigafoo, on 07/04/2008, -2/+3Personally I love Farve, being a Wisconsinite and all... But i'm glad to see that even though it was a rumor, the packers basically hinted at they didn't want him back if he did. If he decided to not retire before, then i would be all game for another season with him. But..
I'm ready for a new era, and i hope Aaron Rodgers leads the pack to another great season.
go pack go! - djepik, on 07/04/2008, -4/+1Oh god. The media already treats him like the second coming of Christ, I'd hate to see the attention he'd get for the third coming.
- ktarr, on 07/04/2008, -4/+3As a lifetime Packer fan and native Wisconsinite - ENOUGH ALREADY!
- zadadka, on 07/04/2008, -2/+1Soccer gets more comments than this !
*ducks* - anthema, on 07/04/2008, -0/+0Gotta love early July, and the lack of sports stories outside of Baseball. . .
But seriously, this Farve comeback story has gotta end. . . - trumpcard, on 07/04/2008, -2/+1Favre's packers were competitive in the mid-90's yet they always got knocked out by aikman's cowboys. The only reason brett is so popular is because he's been around forever ofcourse you're going to break records if u play the number of years he did aikman was a better passer, better leader, and has the hardware to show for it the only thing i give brett is he played a long time and he had a helluva arm just look at year before last, ***** ryan leaf could have played better than favre..
- modifiedbears, on 07/04/2008, -0/+5He's popular because he's not a cocky douche bag and plays because he loves the game.
- theragu40, on 07/05/2008, -0/+3Get over yourself, so Romo choked and you're still upset. That doesn't mean you have to take it out on Favre. Whatever his skills on the field, Aikman had nowhere near the impact on the league and on the face of the game that Favre did.
Also, Ryan Leaf is the biggest joke since Tony Mandarich.
- toytoyota, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I thought Favre was going to be "available" as a back up this season.
