      Most of those aren't for the filthy rich - rich people are rich because they don't piss away money on stupid things. These are for the temporarily rich - like pro athletes that blow their fortunes in a matter of months because they took such a huge leap in lifestyles they can't cope with the change.

Well, the upper 1% has been doubling their fortunes in the last decade. Whenever I see these kinds of postings I really get bent out of shape - it's gotten so bad that an entire 'luxury item market' seems to be flourishing right now. In the meantime our planet is going to hell in a handbasket, but who cares? Brad Pitt just bought himself a new Lamborghini!! Whoooohooo!!! ***** this...
    Don't get me wrong - I love toys as much as the next guy, but this whole 'catering to the rich' really has gotten out of control.

      The list actually isn't really all that much for the super rich as for the random crap lovers. The compressed air car costs about the same as a VW rabbit and the tank costs about the same as a new base mid-size Japanese import. Though the rest of the items have prices listed that are very expensive, they mostly fall into the random classless gimmicky junk bin.

I understand exactly what you mean, having the media make trash celebrities with the IQ of a goldfish seem like their lives are so much more important than the folks that make the world turn, and even inventing all the gadgets which simplify everyday life.
      It's disgusting IMO, but you know the saying, "Life isn't fair."

      Real car. Revealed In Santa Monica a couple of months ago. Also was at Pebble Beach earlier in August. www.teslamotors.com or you can also just do a google image search and find real photos of the car, not just showroom ones.

    I am sorry but if you can't even use spell check then I don't think I am interested in putting my life in your hands.

    8. The Chimera has a "100 foot wingspan" but it looks like a dune buggy.

    7. The Personal Tank, at 1100 pounds, is lighter than a Honda Civic.

    1. The Splash is hovering 2 feet in the air with a bunch of spikes coming out of the water.

Sort of reminds me of the old b&w footage of some nutcase with a bunch of solid rockets strapped to his back while wearing ice skates. What gave me the biggest laugh was he wants to charge 200 grand for the silly thing.

    I badly want the $8k Minicat.. I'm tired of being poked in the ass by the oil companies. I want to put solar panels on the roof of my house to power the air compressor and supply a little spare juice to the house otherwise.

    To drive around for "free" so to speak thrills me.
    I want to drive around to gas stations, pull up to the pump, get out and stand there looking at the pump for a minute then say to myself, "no, I don't think so.." then get back into my air powered car and pull away from the pump with my wallet still attached to my ass.

    As soon as (more like IF) they become available in the US, I'm getting one.
