- vbsurfer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11This seems like a list of novelity vehicles for the rich, than high-tech.
- colonelpanic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10The H1 is no longer manufactured in a civillian model.
- diggywiggit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Which rich dumbass wants to ride one of these Badonkadonk

Yes it is, it's just 4 times more expensive than it used to be. - shodson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why get a Hummer when you can get a Ghurka?

- Raptor235, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Here is a list of cars that are flex fuel compatible
http://www.aboutmyplanet.com/environment/flex-fuel-car-list
- dantidote, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3the filthy rich will feel unstoppable when driving a "badonkadonk" ahah
- dezmd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I just wanna know when the 'Honky Tonk Badonkadonk' model will be out so I can get the upgrades for the gun rack, huntin lights, and general lee horn that plays dixie. YEEEEEEHAW.
- oifish, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3they forgot about this: http://www.caparo-t1.com/ http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2006-Freestream-T1.htm
- diggywiggit, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2More like Top 10 high-tech vehicles for the filthy.
- Cbeck527, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Si-Fi tech? Cool.
- illu45, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7The personalized jetpack should be way higher on that list, IMO.
- tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Not with a 4-mile range it shouldn't. That ***** wouldn't even get me to work.
- ZPWeeks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Filthy rich? Last time I checked, the Badonkadonk goes for $19,999, well under the price of many imports.
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Not to mention the 12K compressed air car.
Most of those aren't for the filthy rich - rich people are rich because they don't piss away money on stupid things. These are for the temporarily rich - like pro athletes that blow their fortunes in a matter of months because they took such a huge leap in lifestyles they can't cope with the change. - tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Last time I checked, badonkadonk went for about $20 down on the corner.
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Not to mention the 12K compressed air car.
- molecool, on 10/12/2007, -13/+6***** the rich - they're buying those toys on the backs of their laboring underlings - that's right YOU! When's the last time you got a raise? Well, the upper 1% has been doubling their fortunes in the last decade. Whenever I see these kinds of postings I really get bent out of shape - it's gotten so bad that an entire 'luxury item market' seems to be flourishing right now. In the meantime our planet is going to hell in a handbasket, but who cares? Brad Pitt just bought himself a new Lamborghini!! Whoooohooo!!! ***** this...
Don't get me wrong - I love toys as much as the next guy, but this whole 'catering to the rich' really has gotten out of control.- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Sounds like someone still isn't over his case of the Mondays!
- Pstonie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Chill out, man.
You got any twinkies? - merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Thanks. It's been a while since I've heard the rantings of a 15 year old socialist.
Don't worry, you'll grow out of it. - geonocs, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Molecool, that was a little off topic but i agree completely.
On subject i would love to have one of those jetpacks. If they found a way to cheep it safe and worked out a few other problems it would take off fast. Imagine the gas mileage - scispaz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2You forgot to mark your entry with tags.
The list actually isn't really all that much for the super rich as for the random crap lovers. The compressed air car costs about the same as a VW rabbit and the tank costs about the same as a new base mid-size Japanese import. Though the rest of the items have prices listed that are very expensive, they mostly fall into the random classless gimmicky junk bin. - igotdugout, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yes, we all know it sucks that the rich folks get everything. I understand exactly what you mean, having the media make trash celebrities with the IQ of a goldfish seem like their lives are so much more important than the folks that make the world turn, and even inventing all the gadgets which simplify everyday life.
It's disgusting IMO, but you know the saying, "Life isn't fair."
- dotdan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If we could combine the Sebeo with the Badonkadonk, we'd have a terrifying fleet of..
..oh nevermind. - Arch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My Ford Pinto >>>> those "top 10" cars.
Also: http://www.xkcd.com/comics/other_car.jpg - addicted68098, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow, #9 is filthy cheap! Not only that but it is awsome, 136 mph, dirt cheap to run. $12,000 for that!!! Wow, I would pay 20,000. I should look into investing.
Also forget hydrogen this is much more effecient. - ax0n, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2"9. MDI Compressed-Air Car
Who would of thought you could use compressed air to power a car? "
WOULD *HAVE* THOUGHT.
6. Personalized Jet Pack
Who hasn't watched The Rocketeer and dreamed sweetly of self-propulsion?
DREMT! Come on, people!
Incompetent journalists irk me. So do ***** digg commenters. Like me. Doh!- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Is that like dreamt only spelled wrong in the spirit of irony?
- tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2*spelt
- artgon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I want a Tesla Roadster!!
- KMartSheriff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I had no idea how awesome those things are!
- DonPMitchell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It looks cool, but all the pictures are computer-generated. Is this a real car or just pixels and an advertising campaign?
- Aruna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@DonP.
Real car. Revealed In Santa Monica a couple of months ago. Also was at Pebble Beach earlier in August. www.teslamotors.com or you can also just do a google image search and find real photos of the car, not just showroom ones.
- quickgold192, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Underwater sports car? Why get that if you can get an all-out luxury submarine?
http://www.ussubs.com/submarines/luxury.php3 - alphaone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That Telsa Roadster did look pretty sweet. Too bad it doesn't say how long it takes to recharge the car.
- diggimurf, on 02/06/2008, -3/+2My comment is @ #6 the "Personalized Jet Pack" If you visit the site http://skywalkerjets.com of the guy who is developing it I caught 2 errors in four minutes
• "The following two years was spent on obtaining the funding,..."
• "I had planed of running the pack for several minutes..."
I am sorry but if you can't even use spell check then I don't think I am interested in putting my life in your hands.- miquonranger03, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1His errors are (to use a portmanteau) homonymous. He spelled his words wrong, but his misspellings are the correct spellings of other words.
- diggimurf, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1Your right spell check would not catch grammatical errors. The point is that he (proofreader) should be able to catch those obvious mistakes if he expects to be taken seriously.
- perkonis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Does anything say ED like a gold plated Porsche?
- PhonicUK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I want a Tesla Roadster! Green!! :D
- Raptor235, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Here is a list of cars that are flex fuel compatible
http://www.aboutmyplanet.com/environment/flex-fuel-car-list - broodlinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2None of you seem to have noticed that:
10. The balloon car has no visible suspension to take advantage of those monster truck tires.
8. The Chimera has a "100 foot wingspan" but it looks like a dune buggy.
7. The Personal Tank, at 1100 pounds, is lighter than a Honda Civic.
1. The Splash is hovering 2 feet in the air with a bunch of spikes coming out of the water.
Oh yeah, and this article is hosted by Sci Fi Channel... - Pharaoh777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That gold plated Porsche is sexy - but someone needs to gold plate the Tesla. Then you can be image and environmentally conscious.
- mikebritton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You guys have all forgotten the International CXT, billed as the World's Largest Production Pickup. It could flatten the Badonkadonk and you wouldn't even know you hit anything.
http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2004-09-13-newtruck_x.htm - Cyberdactyl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That dude scares me. He's basically using high output turbines used for model aircraft, all strapped to a harnessed boom. Nothing at all innovative or original. Sort of reminds me of the old b&w footage of some nutcase with a bunch of solid rockets strapped to his back while wearing ice skates. What gave me the biggest laugh was he wants to charge 200 grand for the silly thing.
- pairanoyd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Filthy rich? I don't think so. Some of the cars are, like the gold porsche (I wouldn't have it if it were given to me free)
I badly want the $8k Minicat.. I'm tired of being poked in the ass by the oil companies. I want to put solar panels on the roof of my house to power the air compressor and supply a little spare juice to the house otherwise.
To drive around for "free" so to speak thrills me.
I want to drive around to gas stations, pull up to the pump, get out and stand there looking at the pump for a minute then say to myself, "no, I don't think so.." then get back into my air powered car and pull away from the pump with my wallet still attached to my ass.
As soon as (more like IF) they become available in the US, I'm getting one.- superdigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah, I was wondering why the Minicat was on the list - $8k and NO GAS PAYMENTS is extremely cheap!
- Wasyu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'd rather have a skycar then any of those it has all them beat in the coolness facter a real life jetsons flying car http://www.moller.com/skycar/
Though the tesla electric car is pretty cool no gas and high performance plus it looks good. - ABCWifeSwap, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Do you live for technology? Is your house surrounded with gadgets and gizmos? Then we are looking for you!
ABC Television’s hit show Wife Swap is looking for families who live in a high-tech home and have amazing personalities. We are looking for two parent families with children between the ages of 5 and 18 who are ready for a great adventure!
The premise is simple: two moms from two very different families get the opportunity to swap lives for a week to experience what it’s like to live a different lifestyle. This also provides them the chance to see what they can teach each other about their own family.
The New York Post says, “It should be called “Life Swap” because it’s not just the wives who learn something here. It’s the families.”
The family featured on the show receives $20,000 and there is a $1,000 Bonus if you refer us a family that is selected for the show. If you or anyone else you know is up for the experience of a lifetime, please email rachel.hertz@rdfusa.com to find out how to apply for the show today!!
