Amazon to sell Xbox 360 for $100!!

amazon.com — Well they are letting the customers vote on the deal, the Xbox deal is at more than 60% of the votes, the winning deal goes on sale at 11 AM PST Thursday!

      Are you joking, or can you not do simple math? If you buy this thing for $100, and then buy all the extra things that get bundled with the regular system (hard drive, etc), you'll still end up paying less than the retail value of the Core system.

      Actually, wait, yeah. It's just the Core system! Yeah, don't buy it! Let the poor children out there get the chance to snag this up! Yeah! Poor children like... me... and stuff.

I bought my XBOX a long time after it came out and I still think I paid $150 or $200 for it (can't remember). This is nothing short of one of the best holiday deals i've seen this year. Although feel free to link to others if anyone has seen something more amazing.

      Well, there's $30 in there that I, and probably a bunch of other digg users can eliminate -

      $10.00 on the wireless controllers, since they're only $40 on Amazon. And really, if you think about it, buying a wireless controller doesn't "turn it in" to a premium system - it gives you a wired controller you wouldn't have otherwise had with the premium system, and a wired controller is usable with your PC, so I count that as a bonus.

      And $20 for an ethernet cable - first off, that's a rather arbitrary price - unless you buy your ethernet cables from CompUSA, there's no way it's that expensive. And most digg users are going to have a spare patch cable lying around. I know I have two or three.

      So, it's really only $300, and that's if you consider the wired controller a disadvantage.

Specially when you can get the 360 platinum for $300 anyway. This would be awesome for the people who are tight on budget but want a 360 for themselves or for their kids.

      You can't add the item from the regular product page. Read the entire details of the offer. You have to click a special button on the "Customers Vote" page. Only that button will give you the special price.
