Australian Xbox 360 price cuts Now Cheaper then the Wii
xbox360fanboy.com — Xbox 360 Arcade to AU$349 (from AU$399), the Pro to AU$499 (from AU$579) and the Elite to AU$649 (from AU$729). This price cut move makes all versions of the Xbox 360 cheaper than the PS3 in the region and the Arcade console actually undercuts the Wii which is priced at AU$399. Nice!

- Zamfir, on 07/01/2008, -10/+4Looks like MS in desperation mode. Nice!
- truspector, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3When Sony cut the price TWICE in less than two years it was because they were reducing manufacturing cost and passing savings along to the consumer just like MS. If Sony isn't paying you I really feel bad for you, because I hate to break it to you but they hate you.
- Varz, on 07/01/2008, -3/+6Now no-one over here has an excuse to buy that sorry excuse for a console: the Wii. The PS3 is $700 over here which is a lot better than $1000 which it was not too long ago, of course these are the 40GB models with no backwards combatability but Sony are marketing them as though the price cut was just because of the smaller HDD.
- kinseyincanada, on 07/02/2008, -0/+7jesus well a price cut is a price but but damn you Australians get screwed, my apologize from a fellow gamer
- estvir, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4We pay over DOUBLE what Americans do for the actual games too.
- dafin0, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1yeah but thats the same with everything, we also get payed double what they do so everything works out in the end
- estvir, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4We pay over DOUBLE what Americans do for the actual games too.
- tomwhughes, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3Yay I may just buy one now, even through I'm not really a gamer any more.
- BoonTobias, on 07/02/2008, -7/+2the thumbnail is exactly what the xbox represents, a broken system
- estvir, on 07/02/2008, -0/+5You could also view it as representing a broken record which would also cover your comment.
- truspector, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Mom still hasn't bought a 360 for you?
- LordSeth, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4I just wish we could get some dam relief from our way overpriced PS3's in Australia. Come on $400US should not translate to $700AU for the same dam console.
