- max420, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16Just for fun, try getting on a mongoose on Valhalla and then driving off of the man cannon, it will launch both you and the mongoose half way across the map. Good times!
- sleepwalkers, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Then, using Forge, put a couple grav lifts so it bounces you all the way across the map. Makes CTF a snap! :)

- exomni, on 10/18/2007, -3/+38I refuse to believe this grenade simply stuck "by chance".
Looking at this vid and thinking there was no divine influence behind it is like looking at a pocket-watch and thinking there was no intelligent designer behind it.

- s1mph0ny, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1The fact that the game is only a week old makes it much more likely to have been staged. Remember the trip-mine to banshee trick in the beta?
- max420, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6That was pure chance.
- EXreaction, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Ya, staged, and they used Photoshop too! // sarcasm

- Sikarian, on 10/10/2007, -3/+62How DO people get clips on the computer? Is there any other way besides the old fashioned TV-Tuner card?
- 72doubledown, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4also curious here.
- nbcaffeine, on 10/10/2007, -16/+3there is a game replay function in h3, where you can go back and watch the video from previous games from any angle. You can then take clips and they get saved to bungie.net (you can do pictures too) Its pretty sweet. Too bad they charge you MSP 750 for upgrade storage space on bungie.net
- timdorr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8No, they know how it works to watch stuff in the theatre. They want to know how to get it recorded on a computer in the first place.
- Sikarian, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I've got Halo 3, so I know about saving the clips and films...heck I made one myself, but it seems the only thing I can do is have it on the 360, and then in the File Share on Bungie.net. Only options available on the Bungie File Share is to Download to 360. Is there some magical link I'm missing thats Save as .wmv or something?
- martyFREEDOM, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23The only way to get a video you can play online is with a TV tuner or capture card. The Theatre and File Share videos require halo 3 to watch because it uses the halo 3 engine to render. That is how they keep the file sizes so small, they are all just 3D data.
- Sikarian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I figured as much. I thought I remember someone talking about how you can save as a video clip, at the time I thought they were full of *****, and apparently my original assumptions were correct.
- blahtastic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4If you happen to have a DVR/DVD burner (like I do :) ) you can just plug halo in that thing, record it to the HD, burn it on a DVD, then do what you wish with it (rip it, just store your good vids on the dvd's to free up bungie storage space, etc). I've done other games that way before. It's a little roundabout, but if you have the machine already its easier than getting a tuner card.
- wageslaven, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1A more likely and simplier solution for many people would be to use a video-input on a ATI-All in Wonder type video-card. Perhaps, even the RCA video-input on a Digital Camcorder.
- kevinh211, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18you need to capture the video from your tv onto your computer. you cant use the file saved to bungie, that can only be played on a 360.
- OandA, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Or you can just hookup ur xbox to the video inputs on ur dv camcorder and then transfer that on to ur computer. At least thats how i would do it.
- alexra, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2dont they send all the vidoes and pics to your bungie id?
- jigga, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yes, but you can't view the videos on your PC only your Xbox
- tzmguitarist, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Halo 3 allows you to make these clips and upload to Bungie's servers. You can download them from there using the standard flash-video grabbing tools people use to steal Youtube vids.
- wolfer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2No you can't.
The save files arn't even flash, they are game code made for playback only through the halo engine. This keeps the file sizes so small no matter how long the video may be.
- wolfer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2No you can't.
- Nadare, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Have the Xbox connect to your DVD recorder first than to the TV.
Or if your TV has a video/audio out connect that to the dvd recorder.
From there just record what you playback, copy it to a disc (if you recorded to HD), edit on the computer, upload to youtube.
- murf43143, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28I like the zomgwtfbbq comment someone left =)
What a stick! - ncc74656m, on 10/25/2007, -2/+59That right there should've triggered some sort of "Totally Awesome Kill" award.
- rome747, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Even Bungie didn't expect that to happen.
- iChainsaw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7"press x to flip...wait...how did you do that?"

- seandfeeney, on 10/10/2007, -6/+25I....I....I...I am just speechless.
- moskaudancer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11It's a good thing you'v got that keyboard, my friend. :)
- nukz, on 10/16/2007, -45/+1i reckon it was staged...
- Jones82, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14First of all, with millions of people playing something like that is statistically likely to happen every once in awhile. Second, even if that was staged it's still very impressive for them to get the timing down perfectly.
- JettaMan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I don't think so. I watched the red guys and they are having a firefight with this blue guy. Then right when the red guy is stuck he's in the middle of a firefight with a blue. Looks legit to me.
- badaimer, on 10/16/2007, -0/+2You look staged.
- Etchii, on 10/10/2007, -9/+42I'm surprised the grenade didn't blow up... that was quite a travel time.
- AdmiralKarelia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+79Grenades only start the detonation timer as soon as they hit an obstacle. The red player was the first thing the grenade actually touched.
- OandA, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16u learn something new everyday
- izzybomb, on 10/10/2007, -8/+1What is the wall considered then?
- moskaudancer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3He should have said "stick to" instead of "hit", but the idea's the same.
- AdmiralKarelia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I take it back, watched the vid again and it did hit the wall. Therefore, it's activated when the grenade comes to rest, either on someone's armor, or on the ground.
- moskaudancer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Right you are, Admiral.
/snaps salute in sarcastic yet good-natured fashion
Honestly, though, I find the brutes' spike grenades even more badass.- s1mph0ny, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The brute grenades are annoying; not only is their throw off, they only kill on personal contact, or if a player stands directly above one.
- AdmiralKarelia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+79Grenades only start the detonation timer as soon as they hit an obstacle. The red player was the first thing the grenade actually touched.

- zizzy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Haha, if you change the angle you can see that the grenade isn't even what kills him. He dies a split second before it explodes.
It's still an incredible stick, but it's funny that he doesn't even kill they guy himself. - PunkRampant, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4This is why I love Halo 3.
I'm gonna analyze that stick from every angle until I find the hand of God itself.

- JEWestbrookJR, on 10/12/2007, -3/+104Thank god for the replay theatre on halo 3. That really just made the game perfect. A friend of mine has a pic where he was aiming at one guy's head with the sniper rifle and right when he fired one guy jumped in front of the guns path in front of the intended victim and another ran behind the intended victim. He got a tripple kill with three headshots in one shot by complete accident. I wouldn't have believed it if he didn't show me.

- s1mph0ny, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Given the accuracy of the sniper rifle in halo 3 (tip: it sucks!), it wouldn't be too much harder. Just catch 3 guys standing next to an explosive barrel instead of 2.

Dugg.- stopbrorape, on 10/24/2007, -2/+3same here
- mcduckov, on 10/10/2007, -22/+1The gameplay looks a lot like Halo2. Is it worth a ~500$ upgrade to get 360 and Halo3?
- Bradl3y, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6For me already having a 360 and not having a working copy of Halo 2 made it defiantly worth it. Halo 3 isn't the only reason for me to have a 360. If all you enjoy is the multi-player, and you don't have HD, and there are no other games that interest you for the xbox 360, then it is probably not worth it.
- cawpin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Forza 2 is worth getting a 360. I love the Halo series and it's the reason I bought my 360 last month. I also bought Forza 2 when I got the system because every review I saw of the game said it was great. They were right. It is probably the best racing game, overall, that I've ever played. There are some improvements to be made but I can't think of another game that can compete with it on a whole-game level.
- elnerdo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y
- nmabry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4In my opinion, it is not worth it for Halo 3 alone. That said, the game does have fairly simple 3d models. They are expertly textured and shaded, and extremely crisp, but the graphical ambiance is identical to Halo 2. But graphics aside, the multi-player feel is pretty darn perfect. Every weapon is powerful and (at least apparently) balanced. Returning to Halo 2 for a quick game session exposed a lot of improvements and I would never go back.
- mcduckov, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Did they deal with the absurd sniper autoaim issue? I quit playing Halo2 in any kind of competitive way because in bigteam you can never move more than 10 yards without getting sniped by someone 1/2 way across the map (and almost always a headshot too, WHILE running, jumping and zig-zagging).
- Juntistik, on 10/17/2007, -1/+3There is no autoaim in the sniper in halo2.
- Myonosken, on 10/17/2007, -1/+2That's called skill not auto-aim.
- mcduckov, on 10/17/2007, -0/+1Of course there is autoaim on the sniper in Halo2. I've used it. If you want to prove it to yourself try to snipe your own teammates with the same "skill' that you can snipe enemy targets. Alternately try to snipe enemy drivers out of the warthog (autoaim is disabled when the enemy is in the warthog driver seat).

- JEAH, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7yea, that saved film looked exactly like Halo2's save films.
/sarcasm - Christbait, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Yes. Don't ONLY buy a 360 for Halo 3, think of that game as an induction, then when you play the above average games you're going to have one heck of a blast.
- burstaneurysm, on 10/10/2007, -3/+26That was ***** epic.
- VivaLaUndead, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16"hey airlift....i thought we were friends?"

- N256, on 10/10/2007, -11/+2What is this, the third grenade stick that's been on Digg's front page?
- nickrachielles, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2And its well worth it too. Bad. Ass.
- AdmiralKarelia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Isn't the point of Digg's front page to show things that lots of people like? Well, if two thousand people digg it, it must be well-liked enough to make it to the front page. Enough diggs is really the only requirement something should have to be front-page-worthy.
- BrokenNebula, on 10/25/2007, -3/+246HE MUST BE DRINKING MOUNTAIN DEW GAME FUEL!
