Dreaming of a Dashboard 2.0 for Xbox 360
thefanboys.com — On the eve of E3, the fanboys muse on what a reboot of the Xbox 360 dashboard could look like, and how it could improve your experience with your console.

- Arbalest270, on 07/01/2008, -24/+0hmm, i like the sound of this but to correct the article, on the dashboard, we are allowed to add our own wallpapers so the figure for unused space should be lessened.
- jakeawesome, on 07/01/2008, -14/+12I think he made the point in the article that yes, we can use our own wallpapers, but that they get covered in crap and end up looking unappealing in most situations.
- hsk1998, on 07/01/2008, -15/+30Outstanding. Everything said, and illustrated, would be a fantastic upgrade to the current dashboard.
- dafragsta, on 07/02/2008, -3/+3I disagree. The person who created this overlooked a few things. For example, you don't need an efficient utilization of space if there isn't a need for it. By "wasting" space, they actually give the interface room to breathe. Ever go to someone's house who utilizes every square inch, versus someone who lays things out minimalistically to create a sense of space? Designs need to breathe a bit. Otherwise you get Godaddy.com madness.
- T3rry, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4There's a big difference between using all the space and overcrowding it.

- leftybrown, on 07/01/2008, -13/+7Man if wishes were fishes I'd love to swim in that dashboard sea...great job!
- p13t3rm, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1If wishes were fishes?
- CollapseControl, on 07/01/2008, -13/+33"disc tray detail—the PS3 lets you see a nifty little video icon to show what’s in the system. I’d settle for some box art or one screen, along with some details on my progress in the game. "
When you have a disc in the tray it does show you details on the game. It actually removes the ADs to show it (when you highlight the disk tray).
It shows the "Game Pic" of said game, the last 4 achievements, your total gamerscore & how many achievements you unlocked out of the total.- WhereAmI, on 07/02/2008, -1/+3Indeed it does. Doesn't have a fancy background image and video but it does do something rather than how he sated it as nothing.
- phinn, on 07/02/2008, -9/+5So wait ,there is ads on the Xbox interface? AND you pay for the service? lol. I love my PS3.
- battletrax, on 07/03/2008, -0/+8You pay around $40 for cable a month, and guess what... you get ads.
Everyone complains about paying $50 once a year.
Watch tv for 5 mins, you get way more annoying Oxyclean™ ads than xbox live.
- DjSandman87, on 07/01/2008, -8/+11This guy has the right idea, design should be evolutionary, not revolutionary. We try and try to find new and more exciting things to do with whatever we have but I think that's wrong. We should be finding better, faster, more enjoyable ways to do what we've already been doing.
- MagikOvenMit, on 07/01/2008, -6/+15Would we really need to dedicate THAT much space to our theme? That's over half the dashboard. Otherwise, it looks great.
- cschoeps, on 07/02/2008, -2/+3It is a lot of space, but the current theme just has a ton of unused/advertised space. I don't have any problem with using all that room to spruce up the dashboard a little.
- ExRe, on 07/02/2008, -1/+12I'd rather it show the ads. At least the ads show new content/games I might be interested in.
If it was ads that are not related to the 360 it would be different.
- tidefan94, on 07/01/2008, -9/+70The one thing that I hate about the dashboard are the advertisements. We are already paying 50 dollars a year for live, why do they also have to use ads. Either take them away or make it free and heavily ad-supported.
- CollapseControl, on 07/01/2008, -12/+24Although no one will ever argue that FREE would be the best way for LIVE, I will say that the ADs are NOT bad in any way. If anything they are VERY informative and doesn't sell you anything. There are really only 2 (2x4) ads that you can't remove, the others can be removed if you know how to use the dashboard.
A quick look at the ads right now and I see an ads for:
-COD:W@W video (good to see)
-Prizefighter demo (good to download)
-Street Fighter II BETA with Commando arcade (fun to play)
-COD4 Map pack (must have for the game)
-free Guitar Hero tracks (good to know)
-HTF:FA arcade game (trial)
-NCAA Demo
-Top Spin demo
-Free THE DARK KNIGHT theme & gamer pics
There you have it, 9 quick ads and only 1 has to do with a purchase. I would say that the dashboard ADs ADD life to the console, I wouldn't remove the ADs if I had a choice. And I mean really, how long do you stare at the Dashboard to get annoyed with it? Once you click into certain areas all ADs go away.
Now, if I were paying my cable bill and wasn't getting commercials then i'd be a little annoyed, but really, the ads on XBL are nothing to bitch and moan about. Something tells me you don't even use the 360 very often.- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4More ads for free XBL is a win for me.
I honestly dont even pay attention to the ads anymore so it wouldnt bother me none , as long as theres no in game pop ups. lol - SSCrow, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1I agree. Ninja Gaiden 2 had a promotion on the weekend of its launch to download a couple of classic Ninja Movies from a few decades ago. I would have never known without the ad for it.
I usually check the ads to see whats new, as well as the inside xbox.
- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4More ads for free XBL is a win for me.
- Doomsan, on 07/02/2008, -1/+7Adblock?
- moxley, on 07/02/2008, -0/+7And here is the sort of response a corporation will give to your "We're already paying $50 a year" statement:
"You'd be paying $70 a year without the ads."
(I am not saying this is the case, only that it is the sort of response you'd be likely to get from a large corp like MS) - Thorpe, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3It's ok if you're on a child account. Adverts are *dangerous* for children and so they're non-existent.
- spydersvenom, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4Not to take sides, as I am a fan of both 360 and PS3 (different reasons for each) and my choice on games is different in those regards, but I can't get over the fact that PS3's online component (PSN) is much more passive in the system's main screen (XMB) and extremely light on ads in the store. If they can offer this for free, what gives with 360? Then again, I'm sure when home launches it will be a virtual whoring of every little digital piece of product placement imaginable, but still...
- ffac789, on 07/01/2008, -12/+8Like I said on IntenseDebate, this design is so much better and practical. Maybe the space is a bit cluttered, but it was only a drafted design in his mind, and it's already a huge improvement over the current dashboard.
- gregulate, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3i completely agree with you, i dont know why you're being dugg down...
- slimthps, on 07/01/2008, -21/+15http://thefanboys.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/d ...
That picture looks SO cluttered. Definitely a step down from the current dashboard. Keep it simple.- flashpointbob, on 07/02/2008, -6/+7do you know anything about design? he did a great job with the interface and layout. MS should be taking notes on this.
- slimthps, on 07/02/2008, -1/+7Do you know anything about design? There are objects scattered everywhere. The simpler, the better.
- flashpointbob, on 07/02/2008, -6/+7do you know anything about design? he did a great job with the interface and layout. MS should be taking notes on this.
- HCviolence, on 07/01/2008, -9/+13I'd like to be able to listen and respond to voice messages without having to bring up a blade that takes up half the screen.
- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3good suggestion , especially in competitive games , it could literally be a life saver!
- p13t3rm, on 07/04/2008, -0/+2The Guide Blade in general is very slow, clunky and for some reason always seems to lag a bit when it slides out. I really wish they would fix that.
- joegibes, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1...takes up half the screen, and (sometimes) half a minute to load.
- porplem, on 07/01/2008, -13/+6I love this design.
- dancinns, on 07/01/2008, -10/+3If Microsoft is going to take away anything from this it should be user ratings for XBLA and future XNA games.
- JustAn0th3rFace, on 07/01/2008, -10/+8Great ideas. Definitely would be a step in the right direction with what you put forward.
- Ottogustavo, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2What are all the supporters of this idea getting dug down? Grow up kids.
- doshindude, on 07/01/2008, -11/+22*forsees a bury brigade*
Don't say I didn't warn you. *gets in a bunker* - thereason222, on 07/02/2008, -3/+7Awesome suggestions. I agree with everyting, but have one tiny thing to add. a way to allow us to choose the background for each individual blade. currently when you use a custom picture as your background you only get one picture for ever blade. it would be much better if you could choose different pictures for each blade.
- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3i agree. one picture that is usually oddly skewed for all blades is not appealing but i suppose thats how they justify buying "themes" .
- MCA2142, on 07/02/2008, -4/+5One thing microsoft did right is maintaining an identifiable blade theme.
Meaning, every theme has its own designated color. This is a very good feature.
This new concept design however, has every color visible on the screen at once. Besides that, I do enjoy the refresh. - Scotty1Time, on 07/02/2008, -4/+4I like this idea a lot. The current dashboard isn't sleek looking at all. Even if they gave the option of a few different dashboard "skins" so you could choose the classic or something a little more grown-up looking like this.
- redneckblues, on 07/02/2008, -3/+14The problem is, you can't put important information on the edges of the screen. Some TVs chop the edges off a bit. (Overscan I believe)
- redneckblues, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overscan
- PowerLlama, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4Completely True. Have to put it within Action Safe or Title Safe, otherwise you're screwing a lot of people with CRT's.
- Davers, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2They could simply have an option to scale everything down a little and move it toward the middle if you enable it - or just automatically do that when you're using an analog connection.
- ExRe, on 07/02/2008, -1/+5Have 2 versions then. The current one for CRT's, then a better one for everybody else.
- euphoria860, on 07/02/2008, -15/+8BURY THIS COMMENT!!
- peterfnet, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Dugg just to piss you off.
- LimeParrot, on 07/02/2008, -5/+40I have a totally irrelevant complaint. When you play music on the Xbox 360... how come you can't fast forward it?? Seems a bit dumb.
- Thorpe, on 07/02/2008, -0/+8I agree. When you look at this and many of the other updates that were in that 'rumored' spring update, I thought it was too good to be true. Microsoft need to start listening to their users.
- redrighthand, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2how about an opaque music player that could easily be managed without interfering with the game in progress
- Newedge14, on 07/02/2008, -2/+11I just feel that having that huge wallpaper is just a chunk of wasted space and not "User Space". Although this design fits my minimalist natue.
- Protoss, on 07/02/2008, -2/+9It does make sense that Microsoft is going to revamp the Dashboard with the Fall update. They did skip the Spring update to work on other stuff, and a revamp takes quite a bit of work.
Although I don't believe Microsoft would totally abandon the idea of Blades, since they are a great way to organize content on the console. - kinseyincanada, on 07/02/2008, -15/+2if you bury this comment you wont know my secret
- rednaxela825, on 07/02/2008, -2/+6I guess I just wont know your secret.
- ExRe, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2What happens if I block you?
- Jholder112233, on 07/04/2008, -0/+2Implosion.
- JohnILM, on 07/02/2008, -4/+6It's true, considering Gold users pay for the XBox service, they shouldn't have so much of the screen occupied by advertisements. I guess they are addressing the Silver users, but do something different for people paying.
- ChinezePanda, on 07/02/2008, -12/+35What I want is the option to partake in their batant advertisements..
*****!
WE PAY FOR THIS SERVICE!
The only service that advertises to it's user base is a service that is either FREE OF CHARGE... or.. FREE OF CHARGE and pulling in ad revenue dollars to compensate for the loss.
PSN = FREE.. Though I have yet to see an ad... ANYWHERE!- NerveBand, on 07/02/2008, -3/+6I thought you could remove the ads? I heard someone say that if you go into your Gamer Profile, you can disable them while they leave a big blank space.
- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4you can. he just obviously doesnt own a 360.
- ChinezePanda, on 07/02/2008, -8/+1Chineze Panda on xbox live dickhole. Suck a dick.
- Asvetic, on 07/02/2008, -0/+7You can disable the ads... I've had my 360 for 3 years now and never knew that. how!?
- sparql, on 07/02/2008, -4/+25Do you pay for satellite radio service? Ads there
Do you pay for cable television? Ads there
Do you buy music off the iTunes store? Ads there
Do you pay to go to a movie? Ads there
I could go on and on if you would like.
You have to admit that at least the few ads they do show are ads that are of actual interest to their users. Last I recall all the current ads are related to free downloads, free content and a few in there for things you can pay to download.
It's not like they are running ads for Tampax tampons, or Foot powder.- ChinezePanda, on 07/02/2008, -11/+3No I dont pay for Satalite Radio.
Yes i pay for Cable TV.. also have TiVo... I CAN ***** SKIP THE COMMERCIALS.
No I dont buy music off of itunes.. I subscribe to the Zune network since it's not the rip off that iTunes is (1 dollar a song... 30,000 songs in my collection... i AM NOT PAYING 30 GRAND FOR THIS *****!)
Yes I go see a movie.. The adds though ARE RELEVANT TO WHAT IM ABOUT TO WATCH.
Never have i sat down in a theatre and said... "You know.. I think little timmy up in the 3rd row who is only 12 would be interested in buying a ***** Yaris!"
I could go on and on. Dont try and rationalize the live ad network to me. It's a pain in my ass to navigate through this ***** on my dahsboard.. while.. amazingly.. my XMB... looks crips. less cluttered, and holy *****... STILL not an ad to be seen..
And dude.. No ad on XBOX LIVE is releavant to their users.
Who the ***** powers on their xbox thining "OLD SPICE!!! FTFW!" *****.. we all use Right Guard sport anyway.. smells a lot less worse than the old man scent that is the cheap middle school "cologne"
Not to mention the worst of them all.. The army recruiting.
*****. i clicked on a gamer picture... and next day my phone is ringing with people trying to recruit me for the front lines in the war on Terror. *****... THAT! - phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -0/+11Hello ChinezePanda ,
Im sorry you hate me , can we be friends again?
Thanks,
The World - sparql, on 07/02/2008, -0/+6Dude, you are picking and choosing to prove your point.
You have TIVO, great. If you literally pre-record 100% of the TV you watch, then I'm wrong. You never see any ads they cable companies charge you to watch. We won't even go into discussing how many ads are being designed now so they can still get a message across when you flip through them quickly.
As for ads on live, you're forgetting the ads that are, as you might say "ARE RELEVANT TO WHAT IM ABOUT TO PLAY". New guitar hero or rock band tracks? New CoD4 maps?, Free Dark Knight themes/pictures, Penny Arcade etc etc etc. The vast bulk of ads are directly related to things on live.
The exact quote from your original post was
"The only service that advertises to it's user base is a service that is either FREE OF CHARGE... or.. FREE OF CHARGE and pulling in ad revenue dollars to compensate for the loss."
I was simply illustrating that you are 100% wrong in that statement. Of course you won't recognize that. - Apocalyptic0n3, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3iTunes advertising is a bit different. You aren't paying to use the store, you're paying for the products the store has available that you wish to use. With Xbox Live, you are paying to actually use the freaking Marketplace and yet we are forced to see ads all over the place.
- sparql, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Actually, you're not paying to use the Marketplace. The market place is available to SIlver members as well. You're paying for online gaming/matchmaking, friends lists and messaging. So it's pretty much exactly like iTunes.
- myranttoyou, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2@ChinesePanzy
"Yes I go see a movie.. The adds though ARE RELEVANT TO WHAT IM ABOUT TO WATCH."
*****, you honestly believe an ad for one movie is relevant to the movie you are about to watch?
Ad for Game A vs. Game B is more apt than Movie A vs. Movie B - myranttoyou, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4Often the "ads" are a reminder to get something for free..... You can't beat that.
- WhereAmI, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1I get XM satellite radio via DirecTV and I only listen to Squizz and Ethel. Before that I listened to Octane on Sirius and whatever their Alternative rock station was called, I forgot, via Dish Network. I ~never~ heard an ad.
I also have Xbox Live (mnkythrpst, haven't played since April) and PSN (tomstockmail, on often) and guess which one I pay for and which one has ads? Well I don't pay for either, not going to pay for Xbox Live when I never use it and they force ads. And yes I am very well aware the ads relate to something on Xbox Live. Thats why Google Adsense is so goddamn popular. Ads based on the demographic do better. Thats how it works.
- ChinezePanda, on 07/02/2008, -11/+3No I dont pay for Satalite Radio.
- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -1/+7the only trolls that complain about dashboard ads are PS owners , honestly its not a hinderence or an eye swore , they blend in relatively well and hardly ever advertise a product detached from gaming ; its not as if they are trying to sell you Oxy Clean its usually an ad for a game or mcDonalds (who is doing a gaming promotion)
Although i must admit for a panda you type well.- ChinezePanda, on 07/02/2008, -9/+1Again.. in my profile... NOT CHINEZE... NOT A PANDA.
For a fanboy troll it should come as no surprise that you cant read.
Hardly advertise a product detached from gaming?
OLD SPICE
YARIS
THE ***** MILITARY...
to name a few.
I owned a 360 before a PS3.. they site nicely on the shelf together.... - phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4You assume that i would bother to read your profile , and what else does the world owe you?
For someone arguing over symantics claiming that i can't read you clearly cant spell , unless "site" is a word only you are familiar with. - sparql, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Also, I hate to break it to you but as ugly as the Yaris is, it's primary buyer is the typical person on Xbox Live. Not to mention they did have a free XBL game, a ***** one but free none-the-less.
- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3
By the way Old Spice sponsored a gaming tournament and yaris had its own XBL arcade game , the military sponsored a tournament i believe as well and all of the above had free themes and gamer pics .
Dont worry this isnt a Clockwork Orange no one is trying to brainwash you. - soundsofreason, on 07/02/2008, -3/+1"the only trolls that complain about dashboard ads are PS owners..."
Ah, but if roles were reversed (360 free of ads, PS3 w/ ads), you can bet that 360 trolls would complain too.
Oh, wait. This is probably what you wanted to read instead:
XBL>PSN
360>PS3
360 games>PS3 games
360>everything
Did that slob your fanboy knob enough?
Good. Now for the truth:
360=great system
PS3=becoming a great system - WhereAmI, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2So the ones that complain are PS owners that also have a 360 is what your trying to say? Because I have both and the 360 dashboard annoys me. Its slow, cluttered, plain. Its not really that slow if you only have a 360, but in comparison to the XMB, it is slow.
- ChinezePanda, on 07/02/2008, -9/+1Again.. in my profile... NOT CHINEZE... NOT A PANDA.
- CollapseControl, on 07/02/2008, -2/+4That kid is a ***** just spewing garbage and doesn't even use a 360.
- TheBigBentley, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1ever watched TV before.....?
- NerveBand, on 07/02/2008, -3/+6I thought you could remove the ads? I heard someone say that if you go into your Gamer Profile, you can disable them while they leave a big blank space.
- rhesusattack, on 07/02/2008, -2/+4I just want to say I completely agree with the search function. Microsoft already provides this service through its Zune software. Since they're apparently trying to bring the 360 and the Zune closer together already, this only makes sense. Imagine being able to search your game library, marketplace content, and music and videos on your Zune in one search bar.
- Nazgul11, on 07/02/2008, -4/+5Wow, amazing work. Great examination there...someone needs to be hired... ;)
- chris9902, on 07/02/2008, -3/+3nice work. I love the way you arranged the Marketplace.
- vlsi0n, on 07/02/2008, -2/+4It makes much more sense. The search bar should have an auto-complete for common game names, and content pieces etc.
- xxbrighteyed, on 07/02/2008, -2/+10This is a fantastically written article, the analysis is completely spot on and he provides evidence for everything he says. If only everything of Digg was of this caliber.
- Mawds, on 07/02/2008, -3/+3It looks better but it would never happen because there is less ad space. If MS updated the dashboard they would add more ad space.
- Dan11023, on 07/02/2008, -20/+3360 > POOP > WII > PS TRIPLE

Blu Ray...See I dont need a built in 2x Blu Ray player in my gaming machine, I have a stand alone that works just fine. In not having a 2x BR in my XBox I dont have to install the game onto my hard drive much like a PC, I can just slip in the disc and play the game.
Sorry, it is $50.00 a year for online play, and due to it being a pay service, and established, I get to weed out idiots such as yourself, a perk for paying. The Sony Network, while free, sucks some pretty serious ass, but hey it is free so you get what you pay for.
Touche on the wifi, but seems my wired works fine for me.
I do not hear my fan.
M$ steals money directly from their consumers!???? Ok Einstein, show me how MS is taking money from me when I play my 360.
I dont "Gotta" use 2 AA batteries when I play, I have a charge and play kit, no AA batts for me. Idiot.
Motion controls, your not talking about those crummy Wii like features that amazing PS3 controller has right? because Sony would never do anything like copy someone else's design * cough* Wii remote, Achievements * Cough*
I have no RROD. But while we are at it, lets look into the wonderful track record of Sony...........
Are you kidding me? No good Games?, come back tomorrow when you have seen what we have.
MS did not create the HD DVD, Toshiba Created the far superior HD DVD, Sony just managed to buy a winning format that is not even complete. Versions? come on, I have to wait till the end of the year to buy a second Blu Ray player, or a PS3 to watch special features. Sure Blu Ray won the war, but that does not mean it is a better format.
Next time, do some searching before you make a comment like "sony always wins baby... sony always wins! u cant beat sony". Because all they are known for is failure and now it is time they just buy their formats popularity.
- ksagarvishal, on 07/02/2008, -4/+0Good one
- Masna, on 07/02/2008, -8/+3Yeah, that's not gonna happen. MS doesn't give a ***** about live customers..
- sparql, on 07/02/2008, -2/+3Yeah, they don't care about customers who are generally happy to pay for a good service, and bring them in a nice chunk of revenue. /rollseyes

- Laforge, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2Google got the text but sadly the images are still down.
http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:DL3qaEAgE7gJ: ... - mrgreenjeans9, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2how about being able to access the dashboard without exiting the game you've got loaded?
- Amorn, on 07/02/2008, -6/+1Things to come?

also direct link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVfjjwCJZ5s - 1timeuser, on 07/02/2008, -1/+4I wish they would convert all demo movies to streams so I don't have to download 200 megs every time i want to watch a 5 min video. but that has nothing to do with a new dashboard.
Also the ability to use the mic in msn messenger would be nice.
The ability to make playlists with movies so i can watch my series without having to go back and select a new video would also be nice.- phorty40, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2i completely agree with the streaming . this is a legitimate argument based on the fact that were paying membership dues
- bknoll22, on 07/02/2008, -1/+0I like this design very much. Especially the sorting and showing how much games cost without going in. One additional add-on would be the ability to scroll in those stupid text boxes with the description of what your buying opposed to having to sit there while it auto-scrolls
- sythe53, on 07/02/2008, -6/+0Why not just rip off Sony's XMB design? It's gotten them this far...
- stubear, on 07/02/2008, -0/+0The XMB is a rip-off of the Windows Media Center interface so would they really be ripping off the PS3?
- chris_allen, on 07/02/2008, -2/+1Dugg for the effort of putting together a good concept with regards to a dashboard revamp layout. And a great analysis of the working space in the current dashboard. That said, I think the current dashboard works decently, but I do hope for continued improvements to it and maybe even some user customizable options as well - more than just changing a theme or game picture.
- RobotLeAwesome, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1A valiant effort, but a bit cluttered in my opinion – great analysis of space usage.
- TheProfessional, on 07/02/2008, -2/+1Great design and I would like many of the improvements. I really loved how cool the blade interface was when I first got my 360 a couple of years ago. However, that status has really worn off and I now feel like the 360 dashboard is being held back by its rather slow and clunky interface. They are selling TV shows, movies, full games, arcade games, themes and gamer pics (btw, who the ***** buys those terrible themes that are no more than just advertisements). They have tried to improve the interface and organize the marketplace, but it is still hard to find things. We should be opening up the marketplace and seeing something that looks likes apple's movie trailer website.
There was major thing he messed up on the interface. He completely forget that the dashboard needs to work in HD resolutions as well as standard def TV resolutions. I don't know who uses it in standard def, but there are those people out there and MS needs to support them. - woulok, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1I want this kid to work for Microsoft.
Great ideas and use of the space, and he actually thought of something i've been tearing my eyes out for over a year: A DAMN SEARCH FUNCTION - Brew, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1I completely agree that ads should not be on any blade other then the marketplace one. Something feels incredibly intrusive about the ad's being right there on the center of my screen when I boot up my 360. After all didn't I buy this console? And am I not paying 50 dollars a year for live? I know you are in the game of making money Microsoft but can you please give me my space back?
