First Sims 3 screens, info
joystiq.com — Expect a new engine with a new, much more detailed Create-a-Sim feature. There are more physical and personality options for Sims, in fact, the are apparently over 700 million combinations. All of the objects in the world are going to be more customizable too. It all sounds promising, but don't get too excited just yet...
- 1038 diggs
- digg it
- jjgames, on 03/20/2008, -18/+5looks pretty. i like the added customization options
- pussieLicker, on 03/20/2008, -3/+36The graphics still suck hairy ass
- spudnic, on 03/20/2008, -0/+7You have to remember who the audience for this is, it aint hardcore gamers with brand new PCs.
They have to get it to run well on crappy hardware. Bearing that in mind they haven't done too bad a job. - prophetpimp, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2A lot of the ingame models looks like They have been taken from simcity societies.
- spudnic, on 03/20/2008, -0/+7You have to remember who the audience for this is, it aint hardcore gamers with brand new PCs.
- hipnotyq, on 03/20/2008, -2/+11games have come to a standstill for me in terms of graphics, I don't really get wowed anymore like I used to. The wow factor for me is more: how big is the game world, what limitations do you have, and of course gameplay/story.
To me, this doesn't look much different from Sims 2 sadly :(- Stevethegreat, on 03/20/2008, -0/+8Are you sure of this? Then take a look to the following.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1151228057 ...
It's all designed in real time and a high end PC can handle this TODAY.
Then again since you're taking for granted - I assume- that consoles is/will-be the platform of choice for gamers, then you're right, the changes are detrimental and will continue to be as such as soon as people are glued to those propriety pieces of fetal material.- DroogInPhoenix, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1If the Sims looked like that, *drool* But something tells me they will always keep it looking cartoony.
- Stevethegreat, on 03/20/2008, -0/+8Are you sure of this? Then take a look to the following.
- cyrix, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6They can make it as pretty as they want, and make the "SIMS" look as real as they want. Still isn't going to stop me from letting them jump in the pool then pause and remove the ladder and laugh mercilessly as they slowly die.
I'm evil.- JudgeMonkey, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Yes, but if they can make them look and act more realistically, then you can practically taste their suffering.
- pussieLicker, on 03/20/2008, -3/+36The graphics still suck hairy ass
- Christbait, on 03/20/2008, -7/+166Are we sure this isn't just some expansion pack? Graphics and the game looks exactly the same to me.
- pixel4e, on 03/20/2008, -3/+21Definitely isn't a big improvement.
- superal1394, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1EA; please see Source or Unreal or Crytek.
- MasterPlayer, on 03/20/2008, -0/+22I think the graphics are a slight improvement, and if EA wants this to be a mass market success, they'll want to make it run on as many computers as possible. I'd imagine console versions of this game as well, specifically the Wii, so this way it won't be so hard to port.
- oveedrx, on 03/20/2008, -1/+9its EA you cant expect much of originality and chages, they take a good game , ad some new features and call it a game
ea syndrome FTL - Ender008, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6It's confirmed as a new game, Games for Windows (magazine) covered it. It actually sounds amazing and fresh. I'm looking forward to it.
- MillionsLivio, on 03/20/2008, -0/+9Much better ingame screenshots: http://thesims3.ea.com/screens.php
- Xondar, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3The Digg article should have just been a link to this and not Joystiq, the douchiest gamer blog ever.
- samssf, on 03/20/2008, -2/+4"Confirmed as a new game." Well.... it looks like it was originally going to be an expansion and they decided to make a new game instead. Or perhaps EA is too lame to actually pay to have some new models and textures created. Yep, thanks EA.
- Andrew84, on 03/20/2008, -0/+7Graphics are not everything. If you read up about this they're doing some cool new things I read about it in GFW. Your sim family no longer exists in its own little bubble now the whole neighborhood simulates at once. So a sim in your house could get up walk out the door and walk down the street to the park. Meanwhile all the other sims in the neighborhood are being simulated as well. The games slanted for a 2009 release so I expect the graphics will change significantly. Meanwhile however, the new things they are doing are very interesting http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3167001
- mraustin1337, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3Jeez. I can't wait to see these sims naked.
- Talphin, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1I was thinking the same thing. Even compared to something like GTA SA, the graphics are just not up to snuff... However... If the buildings, objects, and other scenery are all adjustable, and interactive, I can imagine the graphics wouldn't be the best of the best.
- pixel4e, on 03/20/2008, -3/+21Definitely isn't a big improvement.
- Fatcheeseguy, on 03/20/2008, -3/+36Hopefully EA doesn't release 6 expansion packs like the 1st one.
- MutatedNantuko, on 03/20/2008, -1/+59They will.
- Chucara, on 03/20/2008, -1/+13It's actually 7, and I think EA will beat this dead horse until it bleeds no more.
- grhomepage, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3my daughter bought every one. EA would be dumb not to.
- dvsbastard, on 03/20/2008, -0/+29They won't... they'll release at least 12 this time around - They will milk it for all it's worth... It is EA after all...
Stand by for "The Sims - Growing Grass Watcher" expansion!- ninxmz, on 03/20/2008, -0/+9I'd rather wait for the "Drying Paint Watcher" expansion. I hear you get to choose the color.
- TimDigg, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1You mean...
The Sims - Gardening
and
The Sims - Home Decor
oh its coming believe me
- jpjandrade, on 03/20/2008, -1/+127 exp packs, and they did it with Sims 2, and it sold amazingly well, why won't they do it with Sims 3?
And if you have any problems with that, there's Pirate Bay. Simple as that. - aywwts4, on 03/20/2008, -6/+5This time they are probably planning expansion packs from the bottom up, features are probably being specifically taken out or axed, not to stop feature creep or speed development, but just so they can sell them in a box for 19.99 in a few months.
Introducing, Sims Food. Now you can feed your sims so they don't all die, since for some reason all the refrigerators came padlocked before this expansion. And coming soon, Sims 3 Bug Fix edition! Crash to desktop up to 66% less with this New Expansion!- dustin32, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3A bit of a stretch, but they've definitely planned for other expansions before they released the headline game.
- Bean945, on 03/20/2008, -0/+16Ergh pirating all the expansions was such a hassle... i'll have to do it again now...
- quill, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Everyone I know who plays the Sims gets excited when an Expansion pack gets released. The formula works, even if it is just a way to extort tons of cash from players.
- NinjaPirateDude, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1i mean they would eventually run out of "stories" right....?
- rd3k, on 03/20/2008, -1/+28Official site with more info
http://thesims3.ea.com- DarkDx, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5I wonder why the submitter didn't link to this site directly, I don't care what the guy at joystiq thinks, I just wanna see the pics and info.
- Simmo13203, on 03/20/2008, -1/+10The game looks reeeaaally similar, but maybe that's a good thing. Hopefull they've added to the content rather than the graphics. 700 millions different combinations sounds promising!
- chrisj33, on 03/20/2008, -3/+104I'd rather have SimCity 5.
- NoNamesLeft, on 03/20/2008, -0/+23Agreed. And to add to that, Societies was a waste of time get Maxis back for SimCity 5 that was a poor effort.
- ANT1138, on 03/20/2008, -1/+57I'd rather have SimAnt 2
- tcpip4lyfe, on 03/20/2008, -0/+8Ohh noez! Ant lion! om nom nom nom
- greenlight2001, on 03/20/2008, -2/+9SimFarm
- heyitsgarrett, on 03/20/2008, -1/+14Still holding out for a sequel to SimFarm
- rz8472, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Simcity Societies was the Duplo to the LEGO sets that are the other SimCity games. Arbitrarily plopping down buildings and creating clown schools to turn lampposts into candy canes < A hard-nosed city simulation where you can actually watch your buildings develop and expand.
- Jeffler, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Thank god, though I enjoyed societies, it wasn't amazing, and I was disappointed with the SImCity series. If the other ones aren't like th is, SOLD
- StormyAaron, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1I found Societies a nice change from the SimCity line, I love SimCity it's one the best games out there, but some times every now and then throwing out different ideas is a good thing, heck Societies might be seen as a recreation of SimTown.
- Shivalyn, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5Societies IS a recreation of SIMTown. It's the exact concept and gameplay with prettier graphics.
Oh but no skateboard jump that your people would never go off of no matter how hard you funneled them into the area with random bits of shrubbery.
- Syphon8, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2I'd rather them both be the same game.
- FoxOrian, on 03/20/2008, -0/+13I'm STILL working on my region in SimCity 4. I'm still amazed at how good SimCity 4 looks even after five years. It makes me really want an official Maxis SC5 as well.
- RooDoG, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5While Simcity 5 probably will never happen... Monte Cristo is taking on a project of their own that looks to be fantastic. They are also working closely with a Simcity Fansite to get the game right.
http://www.cuplanet.com/index.php?/component/optio ... - Jebrooks, on 03/20/2008, -0/+8SimTower 2
- Morality, on 03/20/2008, -0/+4No. End all.
SIM ***** EARTH. 2. - SoxSweepAgain, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1FoxOrian, I am ALSO still working on my SimCity 4 region, and feel the same way. I get a huge smile every time I load it up (about every week or so these days, as opposed to nightly 3-4 years ago).
- BuzzFriendly, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Me too! Sim City Societies sucks I wish I could get my money back.
- bills534, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3Im still waiting for simcopter 2. Anybody remember that game?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SimCopter - TimDigg, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1rollercoaster tycoon 4...
- swrostmore, on 03/20/2008, -5/+109The character models all look like they have Downs syndrome
- tim710, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1http://thesims3.ea.com/flash/imageCarousel/screens ...

yea...
What's up with the girl to the lefts hand?
- tim710, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1http://thesims3.ea.com/flash/imageCarousel/screens ...
- AngryAngryBrian, on 03/20/2008, -2/+10Why is everyone dressed like it is the 1960s?
- cam503, on 03/20/2008, -10/+7Hasn't EA milked this franchise enough yet? I really am starting to hate them.
The original game was fun, but at some point they have to recognize that new, fresh franchises are sorely needed in light of the sequelitis epidemic.- aywwts4, on 03/20/2008, -0/+13Until someone manages to address the need for good PC games that appeal to female audiences that don't have the words Barbie, Bratz, or Pretty Pink Princess, in the title, the Sims will always be an incredible almost limitless cash cow worth milking.
- supersonicjim, on 03/20/2008, -2/+16The Sims 3: Get Back in the Kitchen
- GreenChaos, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1The game is fine, what makes it look bad is all the expansions. Less expansions may be better but I'm sure everyone can agree that they at least could be cheaper, especially the ones that just add objects.
- aywwts4, on 03/20/2008, -0/+13Until someone manages to address the need for good PC games that appeal to female audiences that don't have the words Barbie, Bratz, or Pretty Pink Princess, in the title, the Sims will always be an incredible almost limitless cash cow worth milking.
- MutatedNantuko, on 03/20/2008, -4/+59God, that looks bland. Bring on Spore.
- Akisej88, on 03/21/2008, -0/+0That's what I'm waiting for. I won't buy TS3 unless/until I have Spore in my possession. They can take the next 10+ games destined to come out in this series and put them somewhere naughty.
- jhuang16888, on 03/20/2008, -1/+19mmm... looks like a massive 'town and clothes' expansion pack to sims 2
- jpt62089, on 03/20/2008, -0/+10No, that would be two separate packs. Town Expansion and Clothes Expansion. Both requiring the other.

- Tabb, on 03/20/2008, -18/+1racist bitch
- snareguy17, on 03/20/2008, -4/+66So when does Sim Porn come out?
- jman583, on 03/20/2008, -2/+25It's going to be built into "spore".
- snareguy17, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6Good form sir, good form.
- 3nvy, on 03/20/2008, -2/+3Second Life, anyone?
- Ashkc88, on 03/20/2008, -1/+4Isn't that Second Life?
- Lorddias, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Artificial Girl 3?
- beowulflee, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2It already came out. Search for the Japanese company called Illusion.
- novemberdream07, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2it does see: www.sexysims2.com
- Todamont, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2I got really into hacking Sims 2 for a month or so. My sims could have graphical sex, impregnate each other regardless of sex, rape each other, even have control over flaccid/erect/bent penis. Noob~
- jman583, on 03/20/2008, -2/+25It's going to be built into "spore".
- D3koy, on 03/20/2008, -1/+20How about we get some decent clothes, hair, and faces? Or is that in the /next/ expansion
- H1tchh1k3r, on 03/20/2008, -5/+3my opinion is stop releasing Sims games and hurry the *sailing swear word* up with Spore
- Morality, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3sailing swear word convinces us that we want to ***** you up
- kpsfire, on 03/20/2008, -5/+5I hope it has the same cheat capabilities as the Sims 2 Nightlife expansion... if you know what I mean. ;D
- whoomp123, on 03/20/2008, -0/+12it doesn't look like anyone knows what you mean
- Morality, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1when I don't want to digg someone down because I want people to see the reply.. thats a damn good reply.
- SoxSweepAgain, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3I don't get it either.
- disher91, on 03/20/2008, -2/+13Wonder if they're all the same height still...
- SoxSweepAgain, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1That has always bothered me, too. It's such an obvious step to removing the plasticity of the scene.
- ANT1138, on 03/20/2008, -6/+4That's pretty ***** creepy.
- Mrdudeperson, on 03/20/2008, -8/+4Hopefully they develop the Sims for the iPhone. They did it for Spore.
- jman583, on 03/20/2008, -2/+5No and... no... The iPhone has a CPU that is weaker then the one I had in my PC in 1999. And the Sims ran like a piece of crap on it.
- SuperRoach, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Who said it had to be full featured? Look at Sims on the Wii, Sims on the ps2. They change it drastically for every platform - the unique ai usually being the first feature to go.
- casual7y, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2if you want to play games, get a ***** console or a computer.
- jman583, on 03/20/2008, -2/+5No and... no... The iPhone has a CPU that is weaker then the one I had in my PC in 1999. And the Sims ran like a piece of crap on it.
- Verz, on 03/20/2008, -1/+74Looks more plastic than ever. At least give the characters some skin textures for *****'s sake.
- sickswaystop, on 03/20/2008, -3/+7 give it up!!!
- Phych, on 03/20/2008, -3/+5Dammit. I've just gotten over my addiction from WoW, I don't need another game that will take over my life again.
But Spore better come out this year or heads will roll.- Morality, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3WHAT? The SIMS took over your life? I mean I can understand any game being addictive in some way but.. really.. after maybe 40 hours of gameplay can you still be entertained?
This is coming from a level 70 frost mage. - supermajic, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Try playing outside. It's good fun.
- Morality, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3WHAT? The SIMS took over your life? I mean I can understand any game being addictive in some way but.. really.. after maybe 40 hours of gameplay can you still be entertained?
- SmellyFingers, on 03/20/2008, -11/+3Buried for no mention of 3D Sim penis!
- spyd3rweb, on 03/20/2008, -5/+891999 called, they want their ***** graphics back.
- Nukem945, on 03/20/2008, -1/+4Looks kinda like Second Life to me. Not the huge jump I'd expect from a Sims numbered sequel.
- fantasyflamz, on 03/20/2008, -1/+1it's more like second life looked like the sims 2.
- AlphAssassin, on 03/20/2008, -0/+21Looks like it's back to me pretending I'm six foot five, weigh 210lbs, cut like Arnold, successful, rich, actually own my own house, and banging my neighbors wife.
*sigh*- zengonzo, on 03/20/2008, -0/+14In your fantasies you bang someone else's wife?
- AlphAssassin, on 03/20/2008, -0/+12Yeah, I know I'm weird
- metalmilitia430, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5In my fantasy I am in hell, co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
- podobuzz, on 03/20/2008, -1/+1Cut like Arnold? You want to look like Gary Coleman?
- zengonzo, on 03/20/2008, -0/+14In your fantasies you bang someone else's wife?
- JoeSpaceTime, on 03/20/2008, -14/+4SecondLife? Open source; real people; real money, web 3.0. Sims is so OLD.
- Tddupre, on 03/20/2008, -2/+6so is secondlife, at least Sims is enjoyable
- GreenAlien, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2That's like saying the Internet is old/boring. It's a completely open platform so it's all to do with what you get out of it.
- Tddupre, on 03/20/2008, -2/+6so is secondlife, at least Sims is enjoyable
- cl2yp71c, on 03/20/2008, -1/+6Certainly not impressed.
The gameplay better be close to reality. - Misinformant, on 03/20/2008, -9/+2Owning the Sims and any of its 941 half-assed expansions is akin to holding a signed confession to having no life.
Now bury what you know to be true!- snareguy17, on 03/20/2008, -1/+11I buried for unfunny.
- Misinformant, on 03/20/2008, -3/+0What a coincidence. So did I.
But you were trying to be funny. I wasn't.- BillMoocho, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3Either way, you suck.
- DarkDx, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1You both sucks.
- Misinformant, on 03/20/2008, -3/+0What a coincidence. So did I.
- snareguy17, on 03/20/2008, -1/+11I buried for unfunny.
- hypocrite64, on 03/20/2008, -12/+3Orrrr you could go out and live your own live instead of living a fictional pixelated one...
- fymita, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5Like the one you got... posting worthless comments to digg...
- zengonzo, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3Real life is for old people.
- digitul, on 03/20/2008, -0/+8yeah after playing cod4 i decided to enlist. why live a lame pixelated military career when i can have a real one??!
- fantasyflamz, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2the military is just an fps with better graphics...
- Altanar, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2No respawns, unfortunately.
- fantasyflamz, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2the military is just an fps with better graphics...
- gregstrander, on 03/20/2008, -9/+3How much more can they really do with the franchise? After 16 games they still have new ideas? How many colors of toilets can there be?
- jman583, on 03/20/2008, -1/+7You are apparently not a homosexual.
- havocjaw, on 03/20/2008, -1/+22Oh *****.... they've invented Asian people!!!!
- mustanggt1989, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5That looks like down town Hill Valley, circa 1955. Bout the same time the old clock tower got struck by lightning.
- fastlane28, on 03/20/2008, -1/+6Looks like (the first pic) the clock tower from Back to the future, looks like a really awesome game!
- Dimbleby, on 03/20/2008, -7/+4Gawd.....do people still play The Sims?? That looks very very boring.
DOn't get me wrong, I was a hard core Sims 1 player. But then I realised it was never ever gonna merit me anything ever and I was fighting over a digital doll house with my sister.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.- SoxSweepAgain, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1I totally got into Sims2, but I have gravitated back to Sims1 (which I never uninstalled) and I kinda like it better. The 2 graphics and gameplay kind of bored me eventually, but I still like 1.
- PueSi, on 03/20/2008, -6/+3It looks like *****, people now look like dolls.
- BlackJackJester, on 03/20/2008, -0/+11Will my Crysis superserver powered by space meteorites run this?
- SneakyPhil, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2Nothing can run Crysis.
- DarkDx, on 03/20/2008, -3/+2You need infinity+1 cores to run Crysis!
OVER NINE THOUSAND
- DarkDx, on 03/20/2008, -3/+2You need infinity+1 cores to run Crysis!
- SneakyPhil, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2Nothing can run Crysis.
- pwnies, on 03/20/2008, -1/+14Thanks for the screens and all, but lets see some shots of people actually playing it. E.G. people with rooms around them with no doors, people cooking with hundreds of wooden chairs around them, a locked house with no bathrooms... etc etc.
- BlackJackJester, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5A baby and a social worker trapped in a room with no doors or windows, and a blaring stereo?
- BillMoocho, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6Don't forget the swimming pool without a ladder.
- Soave, on 03/20/2008, -2/+2And pools with no ladders to get out... good times.
- fantasyflamz, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2the best thing I did in sims 1 was to create a small room filled with chessboards and a rocket launcher, get the person to go inside, delete the door, have the guy launch the rocket, and everything sets on fire and there's no escape.
- SoxSweepAgain, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2I'm going to go do this, right now.
- SoxSweepAgain, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1You guys are so evil! (Yeah, like I didn't dress a blonde in the leather gear, and then put her husband behind the barred doors).
- Lokishot, on 03/20/2008, -5/+3I don't want sims 3. I want Spore!
- GreenAlien, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5Then buy Spore and ignore Sims 3.
- Yudonomi, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6Apparently all of the Sims live in Uncanny Valley.
- CrushThemTorg, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Right near the bottom, I think. The Final Fantasy movie (the one that sucked) set off my Uncanny Valley alarm less often than this. A great advancement in the creepiness of games.
- topace3000, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1It's not close enough to get an uncanny vibe from me, honestly.
- Jeffler, on 03/20/2008, -10/+2HD Trailer:

- Soave, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3You expected HD from Youtube? Hahah. You deserved it buddy :).
- Wootstapler, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Fag-*****-tastic.
- Lorddias, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Cmon guys, its youtube. When has anything youtube been HD?
- steven401, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Not exactly HD but it's pretty good.

- steven401, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Not exactly HD but it's pretty good.
- aaronmcdonald, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1haha that was so funny last year
- matters5, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6I feel like *****.
- phambam, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6It looks pretty good. Obviously more time went into the 700 million combinations than graphics.
- murlox, on 03/20/2008, -1/+5Sims 2 already lagged a little bit on my Core 2 Duo system with 2 GB RAM. I hope the system requirement for Sims 3 won't be that extreme.
- cha5e, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2Ugh...one of my laptops plays Sims 2, but won't run the program where you design your own Sims. My other laptop is just the opposite. WTF?!
- overkilpro, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5my 2 year old single core laptop with 512mb of ram and crappy video card runs the sims 2 perfectly...
- gplpark92, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2my P4 7600GT system runs it perfectly maxed out at 1280x1024
maybe your card sucks? or you're running on integrated (epic fail) graphics - casual7y, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2He's right, Sims 2 lags sometimes with my E6400, 4GB ram and 8800GT (@1680x1050) (mostly when i try to zoom out, or do something really quick/sudden). However, i think its more of a hard drive access time issue, rather than a cpu/gpu/ram issue.
- falloutpc, on 04/24/2008, -0/+0i could play the game maxed on my first pc i built that had a radeon 9800xt agp card 3 to 4 years ago.It lagged on on big lots or with a lot of people though. My new pc has a 8600gts and it never lags even maxed on huge lots.
- Syphon8, on 03/20/2008, -0/+28So it's the Sims 2 with fat faces and no anti-aliasing?
....K.... - sonicularulus, on 03/20/2008, -5/+3One step closer to bringing the matrix to a reality....
- sonicularulus, on 03/20/2008, -8/+2One step closer to bring the matrix to reality...
- dougm68, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1chill out neo.
- chuckj892, on 03/20/2008, -3/+20People stop bitching. This game still has a year to good. Look at GTA4 when the first trailer came out and it now. They have plenty of time to clean up the graphics before it hits the shelves (and the torrents).
- Wootstapler, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3Agreed. Although the characters look like complete wish wash 3D old school coloring, it has a LONG time until we see any production value coming out of it. I'm still psyched though!
- silentsteps, on 03/20/2008, -0/+4The building's look alright. The sims look the same.
- falloutpc, on 04/24/2008, -0/+0huh? Sims 3 look nothing like the Sims 2 characters. The Character textures look the same because i heard atm they are using the Sims 2 textures. They really should not show shots until they are closer to completion but game companies always seem to do things like this. The buildings look just like the Sim City Society ones which look kinda like Caesar 4. When the final version is released the game will probably look a bit different.
- Me0wmix, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3The joy of making your sims with huge ass noses, puny eyes, and wayyy to chubby cheeks.
- robotosaurus, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Koreans?
- SoxSweepAgain, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Cabbage Patch Sims?
- metric7, on 03/20/2008, -0/+11I hope its better than SimCity Societies.
- CrushThemTorg, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1They actually released that? I had assumed they took a look at it and decided to spare the world the pain.
