IGN: Most Anticipated PC Games of E3 2008

pc.ign.com — E3 may not be the bonanza it was in years past, but this year's show should at least reveal some new info on a few anticipated titles. With mammoth companies such as Activision-Blizzard pulling out of the show's lineup, though, you can't help but be concerned for the show's future. Here are the ten games that we just can't miss.

      • lacronicus, on 07/05/2008, -0/+3I wouldn't expect it to be priced like that. Warhead is supposed to be just as long as the original (longer, if you consider that it consists entirely of the open-ended portions), and contains a new MP portion, along with the old.

Blizzard haven't set a release date, they're not cash-hungry so they don't have to push it out in a hurry, and if they released this year they'd only have 6 months to market it at the 99.99% of people who aren't like us and reading about it on game blogs and digg.

        Oh, and they're "ghouls", not "zombies".

      • destron, on 07/05/2008, -1/+2The biggest two problems Oblivion had were the combat, which seemed a little disconnected, and the facial animations, which were lackluster. The story was a bit on the cheesy side, too, but it wasn't terrible (and Patrick Stewart made it sound even better).
        Other than that, I think it was a pretty good game.

      Stopped visiting that site right about the time gamespy and IGN merged not because of the merger but because it highlighted what they were about.

    Tomb Raider Underworld should be on this list; although most people make fun of it, it's still very popular, and the sequel to Legend (which was obviously way too short) is looking very impressive so far (with motion capture and stuff), and is being pretty hotly anticipated on various websites, well, that *I've* seen.

    Aside from the fact that E3 is totally irrelevant, IGN sux donkey ballz, and this list was missing quite a few interesting upcoming games (enroute for PC) I think all the games on that list will ship PC SKU.

    Actually besides GTAIV, I can't think of a one recent and upcoming game I actually care two things about, that would not have been released or enroute for PC...

Now that they are getting back to non-licensed games they can once again show how creative they are in building incredibly convincing worlds. They are one of the last few great PC developers out there.
