It's like wetting yourself over that new usb adapter for your VIC 20.- farfromsubtl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You sir, are an idiot.
- zsieg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good Idea Reidman. Every bit of attention the game gets means we have that much more of a chance to get a western release.
- CodPor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Freakin' finally. :D

I hope it'll live up to the massive expectations that fans will likely have for it... - TomFoolery, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0This game stinks (moreso).
'bobs - emostar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2translation by NattyBumppo:
Mother 3's release date has been set. It will be April 20th, 2006 (Thursday). At least it's spring. It'll go on sale before the start of Golden Week. We'll be doing an official announcement pretty soon, but this is the "final" date. Once the release date is set, there are no more additions of new specs or anything like that. We'll no longer be able to fiddle around with anything in the game, unless it's something especially important. It makes me a little sad, but I can't be selfish. Since it's GameBoy Advance software, that naturally means that you'll also be able to play it on the Nintendo DS that everyone's so crazy about these days. - r0x0rc0pt0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WOO! Finally. Been waiting for freakin' ever.
- mailman-zero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1YES! I will launch a Multi Bottle Rocket at Nintendo unless they release this state-side!
Seriously, this is EXCELLENT news! - Ebfan2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is truly a God send :D
- mailman-zero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just thought I ought to mention in case someone doesn't happen to read the article that "Mother" is the Japanese name for the game called "EarthBound" in the united states.
It's also one of the most fun (if not the strangest) RPG ever made! - ehmjay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n08/mother3/
- unicom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0why does everyone like this game was the first 2 good?
- joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's been announced for a while:

(November 05) - bpinard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Earthbound for SNES created the best gaming memories I've had. What a truly great game. I can't wait for Mother 3!
- Sigvard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Oh man, I thought this was going to be like DNF.
- SlappyMc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0its aboutfriggin'time :D.
- reidman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2We know it's been announced, but it has never had an official release date in the past 9 years...it started out as a 64DD project, got moved to the 64, started preselling in Japan (!), got cancelled (!!), got quietly picked back up after the fans made a ruckus ( http://classic.starmen.net/petition/index.php ), was rumored to be for the DS, confirmed on the GBA, and FINALLY given a release date.
It's more of a psychological milestone than anything ;) - FRAGaLOT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1never heard of this.
- krwren, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There is still hope for Duke Nukem Forever!!!!
- nights0223, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Just thought I ought to mention in case someone doesn't happen to read the article that "Mother" is the Japanese name for the game called "EarthBound" in the united states."
Actually Mother was for NES, and has become known as Earthbound 0 in the US (not officially, of course). Mother 2 came to the states as Earthbound, and it didn't do too well. But as a previous poster said, hte more publicity we can get this, the better our chances of them bringing over the game are. Just keep praying! - Hisstareia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Earthbound was my first and still one of my favorite RPGs. Ever since the defunct N64 version was announced I've been waiting for something like this. Awesome stuff!
- Pottersquash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mother 4 expected 2020
- Pottersquash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0On the Super Revoultionboy QSVR (Quadruple Screen Virtual Reality)

- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0About time.
- modpancake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1When I saw the title, I thought it said "Mother OF 3 Finished After 11 Years"
I figured some weird lady got sick of her children and put them all up for adoption or something. - Dabellah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Last I heard this was confirmed to the states through a reliable source (but not officially mind you). In other words, it will most likely be coming our way =D
- digitaldivider, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0about fuggin' time. Earthbound for SNES was one of my favorite RPG's of all time along with smrpg, ffIII/VI, lufia II and chrono trigger. this had better come to the states. and what's more, the storyline had better be comparable
- 404notfound, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I loved Earthbound for Super Nintendo, and after seeing preliminary shots of the 64DD version in Nintendo Power, I've been patiently awaiting more news, only to find it became vaporware; but now it's finally becoming a reality.
- JackCampbell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Earthbound is definetely old school, I can't wait for the sequel! it was my first RPG ever!!
- manvsmonster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0My favorite ***** game. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! BUT I DON'T WANT TO PLAY IT ON DS!!!!!!! *****!
- pyromonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Best news I've heard all week! Earthbound is the best game ever... EVER. I'm going to poo myself when I get my hands on a copy of this. Thanks for breaking the news and making my day reidman
- Stranger678, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm still waiting for a port of the original to GBA, it got released three years ago in Japan, and never crossed the pond.
- DCstewieG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'll have what they're having...
- SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hmm... after reading this article I thought Earthbound sounded familiar. Turns out I've had the ROM for months and haven't gotten around to playing it. Maybe I'll have to check it out before this gets released.
- mailman-zero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.deviantart.com/view/8763417/
Earthbound skin for winamp using sprites from the SNES game. - SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0After playing for ten minutes, I have to say that Earthbound is fairly ugly for an RPG of the SNES era. It looks like a game fashioned after a Peanuts television special. I hope the plot redeems the visuals.
