- Elranzer, on 10/01/2008, -1/+1To think... Nintendo could have had this one Wii-exclusive, if the Wii had an HD-capable video chip.
- mywhitenoise, on 09/30/2008, -3/+3I don't know why he's being dugg down, they've obviously been touched to look nicer.
- reyoo30309, on 09/30/2008, -4/+25Anyone else think that guy on top there looks a little too much like Silent Hill's Pyramid Head?
- stevenr21, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1that is exactly what i was thinking. i need to play SH2 again..
- Culero, on 09/30/2008, -0/+2first thing i thought of
- JohanMarcusGuy, on 10/01/2008, -12/+8I lost my lower torso in a shopping cart accident.
I'm sorry if i'm moving too fast, but I need to get this off my chest (or what remains of it), you see, I was at the Long John Silvers in downtown Detroit ordering fishsticks with a diet pepsi as per my lunch break usual, and despite my best efforts, things were never intended to be usual that day.
There was a shopping cart next to me as I made my way to my Dodge Neon 1998 Sports Edition, at first I didn't notice it, but I think now, looking back, that it noticed me. I imagine it was eyeing me with the vilest of intentions, awaiting my next movement and praying to whatever Gods that would help a Walmart shopping take the most important thing in a man's life.
It was lunch hour, the Long John Silvers rush was on, and I was reckless to partake in the ensuing salmon-spawning pool that was the parking lot, but I was young then, arrogant, confident and prideful of my working legs.
What I didn't know is that an older lady with a revoked license had a craving for lobster and destruction. As soon as she started backing out in I knew it was too late. The shopping cart that wanted no more than my complete ruin found renewed vigor, as it was pushed towards me by the crown victorian. Knowing my only safety was inside my 1998 Dodge Neon Sports Edition I instinctively grabbed for the handle, but slipped. My hands, lathered in a rich fishstick oil were unable to latch on to what I so desperately needed.
In the ensuing moments the meshing of the shopping cart would permanently become grafted into my leg, stemming from hamstring to the lower abdominal. In short, my legs were inoperable.
Rosa Eleanor Brown was her name, she'd taken everything from me, and I wanted nothing more than to see the same suffering put back on her. So I read the obituaries, for the past seven years I read every obituary in Detroit, scanning for the name Rosa, but to no avail.
Until today.
And to be honest Digg, I find myself even more empty than before.
Johan Marcus Guy- cyrix, on 10/01/2008, -1/+2The ***** is wrong with you?
- zerhynn, on 10/01/2008, -1/+7It was lunch hour, the Long John Silvers rush was on, and I was reckless to partake in the ensuing salmon-spawning pool that was the parking lot, but I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'
I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air - ChoixAkion, on 10/01/2008, -0/+6For a moment there I thought I was on 4chan.
- peterredding, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2It's like Pyramid Head and Dr. Salvador had a son together.
- mourne, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Other then the fact that he doesn't have a pyramid head... yeah, he's clearly a rip off

- ModernTenshi, on 09/30/2008, -3/+43Awesome. I always wanted another game with brown and bloom.
- Murdats, on 09/30/2008, -2/+8its set in a barren rundown place, there is going to be a lot of dirt and rust.
have you been to a desert before? there really is not much colour at all, in fact unless there is vegetation around (like crysis) a lot of the world is pretty bland- wrenchone, on 09/30/2008, -0/+9The sand might be brown, but last I looked up, the sky should at least be blue.
- ModernTenshi, on 10/01/2008, -1/+7I lived in Arizona until I was almost 10, so yeah, I've been in and around deserts. Thing is, there's plenty of color, jagoff. Last I checked the desert wasn't awash in perpetual twilight that wanted to burn my eyes out of my skull.
- dragon76, on 10/01/2008, -1/+1Everyone talked about how amazing RE:4 looked and OMG!!1! Is this really a Gamecube game?
I own RE:4 and when you have like, 7 textures in the whole damn game it's easy to bump up the polygons. Don't get me wrong, I think RE:4 is the best one but these shots remind me of the same trick: use the same 7 textures and all the dev time can be used on models. - ScionX, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1@wrenchone
I see you've never been to Kuwait.
Their skies are just grey from all the oil refineries.
- Culero, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3El Centro,CA. *shudders*

- Murdats, on 09/30/2008, -1/+29yes. you go there because of something, there are people everywhere with some illness trying to kill you and you shoot everyone and blow stuff up.
oh and zombies - peterredding, on 10/01/2008, -1/+1Racist white guy goes to Africa and shoots coloured people. Or so the internet tells me.
- Murdats, on 09/30/2008, -1/+29yes. you go there because of something, there are people everywhere with some illness trying to kill you and you shoot everyone and blow stuff up.
- rushjaycarr, on 09/30/2008, -7/+1Damn, another Resident Evil game I have to beat....
- eelwrolyat, on 09/30/2008, -8/+10I wish they would bring back the old style Resident Evils.
- Elranzer, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Was the REmake not good enough?
Oh yeah, a PS3/360 type remake of RE2 might be nice.
- Elranzer, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Was the REmake not good enough?
- deweyhewson, on 09/30/2008, -10/+3Do developers who create horror/dark games know there are more colors than brown, gray, and black?
Doom, Quake, the Resident Evil series, Condemned, etc. ad infinitum.!
Hey, guys, listen, the world turned color around 50 years ago.- Murdats, on 09/30/2008, -1/+12once again, I know people are just parroting yahtzee and all but what colours are you expecting? the hero to sport a mario costume of bright red and blue? bright pink houses, rainbow coloured zombies?
seriously if your setting is a barren location what sort of colours are you expecting, actually go outside and tell me how much blue you see besides the sky or water, that's one whole primary colour which is not common in landscapes
- Murdats, on 09/30/2008, -1/+12once again, I know people are just parroting yahtzee and all but what colours are you expecting? the hero to sport a mario costume of bright red and blue? bright pink houses, rainbow coloured zombies?
- kolyana, on 09/30/2008, -1/+3Looks interesting ... not enough zombies in those shots, though :p
- UTKEngineer, on 09/30/2008, -1/+3Have we gotten a comprehensive background yet? I mean, are we still dealing with ganados? Back to the T-virus zombies?
- polygons, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1RE5 has something to do with the Progenitor virus apparently.
- GeorgeStone2, on 09/30/2008, -2/+4Is this one going to feature zombies? I loved RE4, but there was no where near enough zombies (0)...
- ncapone, on 09/30/2008, -1/+2Wow...and I thought RE4 looked good.
- Narrwald, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1And it did.
- akrondude, on 09/30/2008, -1/+3that first screen shot reminds me of silent hill.
- Inohavehalos, on 09/30/2008, -4/+2...Eh.
- captainXdaithi, on 09/30/2008, -5/+1anyone have a mirror? VGcharts done got broked.
- klitzbtc, on 09/30/2008, -6/+4Resident Evil: The only real reason I've ever had for buying a new console. [yes that includes PS1 and Dreamcast :( ]
- tehknotte, on 10/01/2008, -3/+1the last one looks like it has zombie optimus prime
- lostsymphonies1, on 10/01/2008, -5/+1That hammer is ***** intense...
- carpespasm, on 10/01/2008, -2/+3No. It's oversized and ridiculous. When they do things like that in games that aren't built around fantasy or try to border with reality, comically oversized weapons just take me out of the game. To move a chunk of steel that big with speed enough to consider threatening you'd need a hydraulically powered limb. Seeing a dude with a bag over his head swinging around a 1/2 ton hammer is lame. Sorry. At least I can pretend a 6 foot long, 3 inch thick sword is somewhere within the realm of human strength.
P.S. These look like cut scenes. I'm sick of seeing cut scenes. If I don't see a usable camera view for playing the game then it's as ***** as FF7's cut scenes being said to be "in game" screen shots.- lostsymphonies1, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Oh and the zombies are based somewhere in the realm of reality....right

- JohnnyKdiggs, on 10/01/2008, -2/+1Dugg for the animated pie chart favicon. THAT'S SO AWESOME HOW DID YOU DO THAT LOLOLOL!!!
// sarcasm - Wangzero, on 10/01/2008, -2/+16I remember when Resident Evil was about shooting zombies
- onidraky, on 10/01/2008, -2/+4Those were the days...
- Rockitout234, on 10/01/2008, -1/+0Whats with all the motor cross? Looks beautiful none-the-less
- dmark77, on 10/01/2008, -1/+4I'm sure Jack Thompson has something to file about... oh right :)
Game on! - cyclopssmiley, on 10/01/2008, -1/+2These are black zombies though... making this game totally racist, unlike the other Resident Evil games with characters such as poor Hispanic villagers...
- SubjectiveC, on 10/01/2008, -3/+1That's racist! I mean, that's a lot of bloom!
- MrCoke, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3inaccurate, these are renders, not screen shots.
- Aurabolt, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1GTA4 ?
- momedefome, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2The game looks ***** awesome!!!!! I love Resident Evil
- nimadude, on 10/01/2008, -4/+0Disgusting.. no planned release for wii :(
- knopper67, on 10/01/2008, -2/+2You use Wii?
Disgusting. - JDLamb88, on 10/01/2008, -0/+0They might as well make a Wii version, looks like they used the same animations for enemies from RE4 anyways.
- knopper67, on 10/01/2008, -2/+2You use Wii?
- baldmage, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3Don't get me wrong, I LOVED RE4, it's my second favorite game of all time, but this game just doesn't excite me. I've followed all the screenshots, gameplay videos, and trailers. There seems to be a total lack of innovation in this game. The gameplay mechanics is exactly like RE4, Chris's animations and all the enemies' animations look the same. RE4 was so good that I played it 6 times. I don't think it will be an amazing experience to play this game since everything will feel the same. And from the videos, the atmosphere and tension is severely lacking.
- daz80, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1So if your 2nd favourite game of all time released say, new stages and extra content, would you get it…?
If you feel RE5 is nothing new (except of course for the maps, weapons, zombies, and enhanced graphics and tactics - eg cant get through the door? Blow the wall down instead…) then I am surprised you would be opposed to it, considering how much alike it is to your 2nd fave game of all time…
BTW, what’s your number 1 game?- baldmage, on 10/04/2008, -0/+0Of course I'm going to get it, but I'm not going to be blown away because I've seen those same animations, same gun sound, same plagas bursting from the head, etc... They may have the new maps and content, but the core game play is the same. Since's I've played RE4 six times, it will feel too familiar.
BTW: about the wall, if you pay attention carefully, this is hardly something new. They're misleading you into thinking that there are destructible environments, but in reality, these doors are just placed there like doors. You can blow very few, certain ones up, but hardly anything strategic. They're basically preset doors with graphics of a wall. - daz80, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1I see...well i hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Im sure you will :)
I admit i got the impression that walls could be destroyed. I do hope this is the case but i feel you might be right...
Still curious as to your number 1 fave game...
In terms of most enjoyment derived from a game, mine is a toss up between Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on the N64.
- baldmage, on 10/04/2008, -0/+0Of course I'm going to get it, but I'm not going to be blown away because I've seen those same animations, same gun sound, same plagas bursting from the head, etc... - bfchickenchaser, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Those are not new at all.
- beanwell, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1yeah, these are about 4 months old.
- EnigmaStrain, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2uhm not loading mirror?
- Drull, on 10/01/2008, -3/+1***** the riaa
- Ortheos, on 10/01/2008, -1/+1It's RE4 with better graphics. Wake me up when this is all over.
- Electricpigdigg, on 10/03/2008, -0/+1Looking forward to this game, looks great. And with no let up, it looks like
- thenumbertoo, on 10/03/2008, -0/+0Digg the newer RE titles. love the story. it's still gritty and full of that capcom greatness that i have loved since day one.
i hope they have to capacity to continue with this great franchise. There is more out there to be seen from these top notch devs!! - aerobroken, on 10/04/2008, -0/+1Looking forward to it, May not have much time to play though.. :(
