- johnhummel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10So sweet - my son and I are going to have a lot of fun playing this one. Of course, then there's the Wii version. Sweet.
- slicedoranges, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17I wish my dad would play video games with me. He doesn't know how to turn on the computer. :(
- SparQy, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1Damn. I just finished playing through Minish Cap on the DS (GBA title) -- and it was EXCELLENT. Such an awesome throw back to Zelda: Link to the Past.
This doesn't really look anything like classic zelda platforming, which is too bad... more in the Zelda 64 - Windwaker range, which I didn't much get into. - Hobo97, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you haven't you really ought to pick up Four Swords for the Gamecube. If you have all the equipment (GBAs for each person), and people - it's outstandingly fun. It also has some of the most gorgeous 2D this generation - imagine Link to the Past with all the eye-candy the Gamecube could produce. Plus innovative, yet classic gameplay.
- bryant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24 Swords + 4 GBAs + 4 Cables + 3 Friends = A metric *****-ton o' fun.
- gmanzig, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Well if I could watch youtube at work I would probably drool. I love Zelda games.
- eurocrisp, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5 Lots better than I imagined
I feel bad to have even slightly doubted it would be neat. - briansorders, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10i hope its not touchpad only
- gridbread, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Yeah, I hope there will be some usage of the d-pad, I dislike predominantly touch-pad orientated games...
- Pinkshisno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It's touchscreen only. What's wrong with them, Meteos is only fun if you just use the stylus. Same thing with Kirby.
- omarqaz7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Anyone know when this is coming out?
- elektricki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Q1 2007
- lordkenthegreat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Amazing! Hope it plays like Wind Waker.
- Tunak, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Got a mirror? I can't get Youtube at work
- TheStoof, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Eh. It looks fun but I don't like the idea of using the stylus to fit. I'm all for swining my arm around to poke the enemies in Twilight Princees, though.
- henryaj, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's "fight", I can assure you.
- TheThirdWheel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I know I'm going to get dugg down but...my two greatest fears for this game were shown true in the video. I love Nintendo, the DS, and Zelda, but God I hated all the sailing in Wind Waker and it looks like sailing is back, and just as boring.
It also looked like all the controls were with the stylus...not only do my hands cramp from using the stylus for long periods of time, but the tried and true Zelda controls are so intuitive, why change them? Oh well I'll probably stil buy it.- Antialias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2One thing I found on the stylus, if you hav the old DS with the tiny stylus, a bigger stylus from a pda work really well, I couldn't use that stylus for more than 10-15 minutes without my hand cramping so I would carry my PDA stylus with the DS. With the DS lite, I can get by with the built in stylus, still a bit small though.
- 44sunsets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Look for one of those yum cha 3rd party telescopic styluses they sell on eBay or even in retail stores as part of those nasty Nintendo DS accessory packs. You can telescope the thing to make it longer and easier to hold.
Works wonders and is far better than the default stylus. - Basecamp88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Joystiq makes a bendable stylus you can wrap around any finger for more comfortable use over long periods. If you don't want to wait, CircuitCity sells a stylus replacement pack with a thumb stylus for about $6. I bought the latter after cramping my hands playing Rouge Agent for hours on end. The difference is amazing.
- Basecamp88, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Glad to see the DS library is finally maturing. The pending release of this game, Final Fantasy 3, and a few other notable titles make for a promising future for the system.
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7"FINALLY?" The DS library has been plenty matured for a long time.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -17/+1Might be nice if you could see it. I loves me some Zelda, but would love it more on a PSP. Or better yet, a better Nintendo handheld. Touchscreen was kinda cool at first, then I just got tired of it like most of Nintendo's gimmicks (Power glove anyone?).
- Pinkshisno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Did you just say....PSP?
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -13/+1Yes and? I had so much more fun with my PSP. I bought a DS when it came out, then the PSP when that came out. Didn't touch the DS for months after the PSP launch day so instead of it gathering more dust I sold it.
- Pinkshisno, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Asking for Zelda to be on a PSP is like asking for Halo 3 on a N64. It's never going to happen.
Let me put at this:
Zelda=Nintendo
PSP=Sony
nintendo=DS
PSP doesn't = Nintendo because Nintendo doesn't = Sony
so therefore, Zelda=DS, not PSP.
- bloodwings, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i also would prefer regular controls instead of the touch screen only, but i'll have to buy it anyway.
- EatingPie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Old E3 Video actually. It's too bad because I was hoping this was different footage. Anyone have other links of Zelda gameplay they want to share?
-Pie
