F-16 Bird Strike Video
jeremy.zawodny.com — What happens when an F-16 engine sucks in a bird momentarily after takeoff? If this video is any indication, you level off, attempt to restart the engine, fail, point it at an unpopulated area, and eject.

- supermauerbros, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If I'm not mistaken that wasn't an F-16 but a two-pilot trainer. Still an expensive piece of equipment but not as costly to loose as an f-16 would've been. No less frightening either I bet.
- securitymonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They mention this in the article, but that's a CT-155, not an F-16. =)

- fyngyrz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice bit of training, and very commendable pilot reaction. Too bad about the aircraft, though.
- t0ny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The museum I work at had a bird strike a P-51 mustang, Other then a dent in the spinner ( the cone in front of the propeller ) and a lot of blood down the side of the plane no real damage was done. Well for the plane. I wonder what that bird looks like...
