- InstantLiving1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0nothing really new, but nicely condensed to every-day-rules. somewhat obsessive guy, though.
- iamondigghaha, on 03/08/2008, -0/+1I don't know that one should call it obsessive. Seems like life experiments are what he does and how he's making money.
- trojantrent, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I'm going to try this... It'll be interesting to see if it works for me!
- deltron2007, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4As the original person to digg this article I thought I would leave my review of the diet.
I did indeed lose about 10lbs after about 2 weeks on the diet. I was hungry all the time, craved carbohydrates and generally felt miserable. I lost a significant amount of muscle, and strength. My squat and bench press decreased by about 15%. My fat percentage only dropped about 1.5%, and I still have about the same waist size. Worst of all, my endurance during training suffered greatly, I would get tired in about half the time it normally took, and my recovery also was significantly delayed.
After thinking this diet over and analyzing my results I have concluded that most of the weight I lost was water, this could explain the loss in performance and recovery, the quick weight loss and the quick regain of the weight I put back on in the weeks that followed the diet. I would not recommend this diet to anyone.
Currently I am having great success with the "Abs Diet" by David Zinczenko. The abs diet is very balanced, keeps me full and promotes a very healthy lifestyle. My performance in all regards has significantly increased, I am back benching and squating my previous weight, and training hard without feeling fatigued. All while losing fat (as noted from several body fat measurements)and gaining strenght and stamina. In comparison to Tim's diet, I have lost 8lbs in two weeks, and 5% body fat. If you are looking for a good, balanced, researched diet I would not recommend Tim's, but instead would point you in the direction of the Abs diet.
Good luck.
Del - KeithLeslie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0This sounds very easy to stick to. It incorporates some of Atkins and some of Body for Life which has the day off. It makes it a lot easier to stick to when you have a day you can pig out.
- PsychDr, on 12/29/2007, -0/+1I did this diet for about 2 years...it works!!! I went from 227 lbs down to 190 lbs within 3 months. I kept it off for two years. Got off diet and I'm now wanting to get back on it. It is the "perfect" diet for most men. Giving yourself only 2 weeks does not warrant a negative blog, or any blog for that matter. My body also felt somewhat sluggish the first couple of weeks, but that's it. Even without excersing, I felt pumped. However, this feeling of being pumped came later. On my 40th birthday, my waist was 31 inches...which is one inch less than what I was when I graduated from high school. If you consider doing this diet, don't make ANY judgement calls until you've worked throughout for at least 4 weeks. In addendum...my cholesterol lowered considerably, as well as my triglycerides and blood pressure.
- rsktkr, on 01/01/2008, -0/+1I dropped 60lbs. on this diet a few years back. I creaped on about half of it since so now I'm back on it. The day off is the key....really helps get you through the week. Oh and read this guys book....The 4-Hour Work Week you will NOT regret it.
- SjHoward, on 05/14/2008, -0/+0Some good reviews in both directions here in the comments. Yes you should read his book, which has nothing to do with dieting. I am going to give the diet a try and provide some feedback. Current waist ~35inches, weight ~190lbs - Target is 1inch and 10lbs.
