- ManosHoF, on 07/11/2008, -4/+83The video is on Funny or Die, but I thought of it more interesting than funny.
- badwithcomputer, on 07/11/2008, -2/+8yeah i found it browsing the "that happened" account on funny or die that seems to just be filled with random ***** from the internet. not the typical sketch type stuff that's on the site, but still filled with some pretty solid content.
- themastersb, on 07/12/2008, -1/+13So. The only question now is: who gets to die?
- SifuMoKung, on 07/12/2008, -0/+0I was going to post a smart ass remark about "giving it a thumbs up because it had the word gross in the title.", but I actually found this interesting.
Hmm, who gets to die? Does it have to be someone affiliated with the web site, the documentary, or a CEO of a petroleum company because I hate them?
- t3hmyth, on 07/11/2008, -27/+95Ladies and Gentlemen, I have seen Goatse, Tubgirl, 2Girls1Cup, and the worst 4Chan can do. But THIS... This is the single weirdest thing I've seen on the Internet.
- Koookie, on 07/11/2008, -42/+15If you're still living in the Victorian ages; brainwashed by people worshipping some beardy sky man/telepathic security camera/zombie, who is his own dad and also some spirit thing, but simultaneously is not those things, and is ubiquitous but still doesn't exist in some place... then I guess common nature can seem strange.
- 1timeuser, on 07/12/2008, -10/+4Yes... tubgirl, goatse, 2g1c and some of the 4chan pictures were disgusting in the victorian era but now I eat my breakfast while whatching that ***** on the cartoon network every saturday morning. Purposely having an orgasm while giving birth to a baby? HELL YEA!
you are a sick bastard. - Ac1dTr1p, on 07/12/2008, -0/+14wait... what?
- urbandistrict, on 07/12/2008, -1/+5Koookie, you also forgot to mention the ultra-exclusive invisible dance party invitation only if you recognize the aforementioned beady sky man as the supreme DJ laying all the funky blends backed by beats. However if you do not, you shall be cast away to digg with all the other nerds to seem to *woosh* on your obvious God ref.
PS. I digg your username+pic

- cr250guy, on 07/12/2008, -3/+22Congratulations Koookie, for being the only thing stranger than that video on digg.
- Anpheus, on 07/12/2008, -1/+2Man I was so close to closing this page after opening the link in a new tab, then I saw "the only thing stranger than that video on digg."
You're probably the only reason people are clicking "show" on his post.

- KhanneaNL, on 07/12/2008, -2/+3It shouldn't last a few decades until we can technologically develop artificial placenta's and ovaries and grow children in a machine. Then let's see how many women will volunteer for getting disfigured this particular manner. I can see natural birthing outlawed for being "unnecessarily cruel" eventually. I'd call that progress, but the birthing machinery would have to be clearly better and safer than the natural alternative.
- lrdntwnd, on 07/12/2008, -1/+1are you serious? You would rather have your child born of a machine (who's to say it'd even have your genes) than to be born naturally? And people wonder why so many of us fear the eradication of the human race...

- 64bit, on 07/11/2008, -13/+88Doesn't the vagina contract upon orgasm? And isn't that the opposite of what you want to do when giving birth?
I don't get it...- sanman, on 07/11/2008, -5/+46don't women have contractions during childbirth?
aren't these contractions caused by oxytocin, the same hormone that is released during orgasm?- lvlln, on 07/12/2008, -0/+30The contractions are of the uterus, not the vagina.
- Mikhail101, on 07/12/2008, -1/+5No oxytocin helps women lactate.
- Casserole69, on 07/12/2008, -0/+8Oxytocin does help with the contractions, but it also helps with lactation. In addition to that it is the hormone responsible for making women fall in love.
- boomerang42, on 07/12/2008, -1/+3This man knows his chemistry.

I'm a man- praetoriansword, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3Dugg so nobody thinks I have a vagina either.
- Frost9999, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2I'm not sure they meant an actual orgasm during birth. I think they meant a very similar experience, hence all the talk about sensuality and sexuality and security and love. Why did the submitter think this was gross, child-birth is something everyone has done.
- anonymousleaf, on 07/13/2008, -0/+2Now when you say "everyone', do you mean "half of the population"? And even less than that?
- Frost9999, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1Everyone has been born, that's the first-hand experience I was refering to.
- sanman, on 07/11/2008, -5/+46don't women have contractions during childbirth?

You're 15 and you find out that your mother had an orgasm pretty much thanks to you.. How ***** up would you feel!?- DeskFlyer, on 07/11/2008, -2/+50I'd probably jump off the nearest bridge.
- sanman, on 07/11/2008, -2/+55don't forget women having orgasm while breastfeeding'
no wonder so many feel too tired to have sex with their husbands
... being cheated on by her with the kids, sheesh...- retoriplastique, on 07/12/2008, -4/+21Thank you very much. I didn't need to know that.
**Kills his newborn**
**Commits suicide** - RobotBuddha, on 07/12/2008, -1/+2It's not that common, but it happens. Much like it's not that common to have an orgasm during birth, but someone women have a few neuronal connections that wind up connecting in a non standard way. As far as I know though, it's totally biological, not something that can be learned. I'm guessing that this kind of program winds up only focusing on the women who are lucky enogh to fall into that category and ignoring the norm.
- smartass007, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3i like where this is going
- s0nicfreak, on 07/12/2008, -0/+4Although if you had ever actually breastfed you would know that it's totally nonsexual and your boobs are too sensitive (in that situation) for it to be pleasurable in the same way as sex is.
To help a guy imagine what it's like, imagine that you had been kicked in the groin a bit ago, it didn't cause any serious injury, but you're just really sensitive because of it... then you have to pee but you're a long way from a bathroom... your bladder is full, and you finally make it to a bathroom... it hurts a bit handling your junk, but you're finally getting to pee so you don't care.... that feeling of release is what breastfeeding is like, except out of your nipples.
- retoriplastique, on 07/12/2008, -4/+21Thank you very much. I didn't need to know that.
- hellotyler, on 07/12/2008, -3/+25Yeah, i'd much rather have her screaming in agony. /s

- Synyk, on 07/12/2008, -1/+28yea when I was 15 and gave my mom an orgasm omggg I felt SO ***** up
- shondell, on 07/12/2008, -0/+14Is your mom hot?
- grey580, on 07/12/2008, -0/+7Ohhhh... stifflers mom!
- RiverBelow, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3I'd hit it.
- SilverBack101, on 07/12/2008, -1/+5You know...this probably explains the usual strained father-son relationships. Your father knows you gave your mom an orgasm that he'll never be able to...and now you realize what the ***** you did to you mom. Talk about a moment of contention.
Father: I hate you with every fiber in my body! *whips off belt*
Son: Daddy why!? Why do you keep hitting me!?
Father: Shut up! SHUT UP!
Son: I love you Daddy! *crack!*
God help us all!- diceau, on 07/12/2008, -1/+11No offense, but your family life sucks.

- Ravatar, on 07/12/2008, -1/+6Look at the bright side, at least you can say you gave a woman an orgasm at some point in your miserable life.
- CasinoJack, on 07/12/2008, -0/+6Please stop talking all of you...This is wrong on so many levels
- STARTSOMETHING, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3This is why I love digg, Screen shot, Front page, 1million diggs.
- Metasquares, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1Yeah, it's usually the other way around.

- spectre_25gt, on 07/12/2008, -1/+12Hey, would you rather have "This is YOUR fault! You did this to me! AHHGHGHGH..." or "God yes! thank you [insert name here]"?
- TheDreadDiggerD, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5"God YES! Thank you Steve!"
"Honey, my name's Phil...."
- TheDreadDiggerD, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5"God YES! Thank you Steve!"
- siszam, on 07/12/2008, -2/+19It's not like a true sexual experience. Believe me, you're in so much pain it doesn't matter. Right before my sons head crowned my G-spot was hit and I had an orgasm. Two seconds later a contraction hit (because it's a constant wave of them at that point) and it was forgotten. It was purely mechanic if you get what I mean.
For a man it would be like someone holding a gun to your head and telling you to masturbate or die. Not exactly fun......unless you're into that sort of thing.- SifuMoKung, on 07/12/2008, -0/+20Who's holding the gun, and what is she wearing?
- smartass007, on 07/12/2008, -3/+4>Right before my sons head crowned my G-spot was hit and I had an orgasm.

*****??????? - JPamplin, on 07/12/2008, -10/+93NSFW? Gross? I don't think so.
C'mon folks, they may be doing something you've not heard of, but there wasn't anything in that video that was gross. It's strange, but not gross.
Just my opinion, nothing more - JP- HonestAbe, on 07/12/2008, -7/+7"but there wasn't anything in that video that was gross. It's strange, but not gross."
Maybe you missed the part about childbirth.
Blechhhhghghghghg.- xenuxenuts, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2god forbid you ever see a c-section.
- BKred, on 07/12/2008, -2/+13I don't know where *you* work, but I doubt my boss would want *me* checking out videos of women having orgasms while giving birth while at work...
- Laminarcissus, on 07/12/2008, -1/+3Look it may be all natural and beautiful, but baby goo is baby goo.
I have a feeling that were I scraping the goo off that kid's head and flicking it at you, you wouldn't be standing there saying, "strange," you would be running away shouting. "gross!"- RobotBuddha, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1Thank you. The video made that same "It's natural, so it's good!". I'm sorry, I don't care what the reason is, expelling bodily fluids all around you is gross no matter what the reason for it is unless you're directly involved.
- ukthom, on 07/12/2008, -1/+3Here, here! I say, if it makes giving childbirth more spiritual, more emotionally connected, and can turn pain into pleasure, then I'm all for it.

- pwnerofnoobs, on 07/12/2008, -8/+40That wasn't gross. I thought I was going to see doctors licking pussy during birth.
- Synyk, on 07/12/2008, -1/+22so you thought the woman, just before giving birth, would scream to the doctor: "LICK MY ***** LICK MY *****"

- selfdisplaced, on 07/12/2008, -2/+75haha, the best part was when the parents are birthing a child and the whole family is in the room. while she's showing her O-Face to her family.
- SMB20, on 07/12/2008, -6/+1Finally, an excuse for her to want to give birth (and have kids!)
- HonestAbe, on 07/12/2008, -2/+4Who would want that?
- Dundasbro, on 07/12/2008, -3/+30Eh, doesn't bother me. I don't see what the big deal is.

- TaniaZL, on 07/12/2008, -7/+1Crazy *****. One word to describe it. Never heard of such thing before. Lol imagine your mum being in the room at the time and you are having a 'birth orgasm' lol. Hell weird.
- vmwhelan, on 07/12/2008, -0/+7Isn't "Crazy *****" two words?
- gr00vy, on 07/12/2008, -5/+19What a bunch of freaking immature retards. This is not funny or die.

- krnldmp, on 07/12/2008, -8/+12You can also have an orgasm while you are reprimanding your child or are present for their high school graduation, but that doesn't mean it makes any ***** sense.
- ichbeineinrcg, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1In the first case, it depends on how far into their teenage years you keep spanking them. In the second case, it depends on whether robes and funny hats are a kink of yours. Either way.
- nycmac247, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2why not have a circle jerk at a wedding?
- antiorblkflag9, on 07/12/2008, -5/+1................
- thestranger, on 07/12/2008, -5/+3i am confused, but don't the muscles "pull-in" (not sure the term) when a women orgasms, and isn't that counterproductive to trying to "push " the baby out.
once again, I not an expert on how a baby is born.- TheSexyGeek, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2You probably don't get laid much either. If you did, you'd know that many women push really hard when they're having an orgasm.
- thestranger, on 07/12/2008, -1/+1I have had my fair share of ladies since I was 15 and now have a wife...thank you very much!
I know that they push into the penis for deeper penetration, but the interior muscles "pull-in".
- thestranger, on 07/12/2008, -1/+1I have had my fair share of ladies since I was 15 and now have a wife...thank you very much!
- Ravatar, on 07/12/2008, -1/+2Contraction is contraction. Kinda like squeezing out a turd.
- TheSexyGeek, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2You probably don't get laid much either. If you did, you'd know that many women push really hard when they're having an orgasm.
- flynnfx, on 07/12/2008, -8/+35Christ! You think the lot of you were still in junior high from the comments!
If a birth can be pleasurable instead of painful, ie an orgasmic birth, it'd make a lot less reliance on epidurals or painkillers.
The 'eww' comments and other ***** is just frickin grade 7 crap - grow up.- Laminarcissus, on 07/12/2008, -9/+1shut your face, doody
- ichbeineinrcg, on 07/12/2008, -1/+9Epidurals are awesome. My wife had one when my daughter was born, and it was like she was on the best weed ever. I asked for one for myself, but I was told that wasn't the practice. Assholes.
- RobotBuddha, on 07/12/2008, -4/+5It's the 'if' part of that which bugs me. 90% of women who try this kind of thing are going to discover pretty quickly that they didn't win the genetic lottery and only find pain and screaming instead of what they'd been promised. I hate the entire philosophy of "One person did it, so everyone can!" Yes, it's unfair, but some people just inherit genes which give them an easy out for some things.
- superclucky, on 07/14/2008, -0/+0My mom had bad genes.
I'll never vaginally give birth, EVER.
- superclucky, on 07/14/2008, -0/+0My mom had bad genes.

- m4csrgh3yk3v, on 07/12/2008, -3/+2Yeah right, orgasmic.
Google "Obstetric fistula " - ArgusDrake, on 07/12/2008, -3/+33I like how these guys bash the medical field and their way of handling births. Yes, blame modern medicine. To hell with increased birth success rate and survivability for the mother, women really just want an orgasm in the middle of giving birth.
I realise birth is an entirely natural process, but that doesn't change the fact that it can be very risky for both the newborn and the mother. I'd place a lot more concern on making sure the baby and mother are properly treated during the process, rather than worry about what kind of sexual/spiritual sensations the mother is having while she is in labor.- kingmanic, on 07/12/2008, -8/+3Child birth is not commonly risky unless there are physiological problems with mother or child. Under 1% of mother die in ever the most destitute of places with the west having a maternal fatality rate of 0.09%. You more likely to die while driving then during child birth.
- ArgusDrake, on 07/12/2008, -1/+5Notice you said the west. The west, which has made leaps and bounds in the medical field. With our modern birthing and child-rearing practices, the fatality rate has plummeted. If you look back a few hundred years, especially into the Middle Ages, fatality rates during birth were quite high. Notice how in the past, a marriage always seemed to consist of an older man and a (sometimes much) younger woman? One of the reasons for this is the fact that many mothers died during childbirth. The husband would then take another (younger) wife, to have more children with. Oh, and you would've been a very lucky child to have lived to age 10.
I realise that now, with our conditions, child birth is not as big of a deal. However, our advantages are due to these medical advances, and this video seemed to belittle those advances. - kingmanic, on 07/12/2008, -1/+1Noticed how I said even in the most destitute of places it's still under 1% (sub Sahara Africa). Clocking in at 0.9%. God! If child birth was very risky then as a species we'd cease to exist.
- udee79, on 07/12/2008, -1/+0I think your comparison of childbirth to driving is flawed. If a woman has 4 kids she's in labor for a total of 20 hours or so for her entire life. She probably drives for 600 hours each year. So I think that per hour childbirth is way more dangerous.
Also is the 1% mortality rate you quote a per birth figure? If so remember that in poor countries women give birth a lot. Ten kids makes the mortality rate 10% thats really high and really dangerous. - RobotBuddha, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3The low rate of mortality is due to even the worst places knowing basic measures discovered by evidence based (so called western) medicine. Go back even a hundred years and it was closer to 1 in 100. Go back further and it gets a whole lot worse. 1-5% is pretty low on the evolutionary scale, not enough to really have much of a dramatic impact on a species. On an individual level though, it's cruel beyond words.

- antoniamart, on 07/12/2008, -1/+10They are being treated properly, more than you realize. What you don't know is that in the US we have the worst infant survival rate among developed nations and one of the worst maternal death rates among developed nations, because we have medicalized birth. Furthermore, C-sections have over double the rate of infant mortality. Because we handed the job over to OB's, surgeons by trade, rather than keeping the midwives in hospitals as they've done in all other developed nations, we've gotten an enormous C-section rate. When you start with epidurals and the pitocin, which have never been studied by the way, you head down the road to a C-section. These women are being treated better by their midwives than the average hospital labor and delivery birth. The health of them and and their baby is the utmost concern. Midwives do everything doctors do, except surgery. In labor and delivery you are attended to by nurses and anesthesiologists, the OB comes in to catch. A midwife stays the entire time. I have my doubts about the orgasm, but there is truly a reason to bash the medical community, and their 30% + C-section rate.
- carpespasm, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2I understand that C-sections are done more often than really necessary but when they're needed they're almost always because either the mother or baby is under risk of death if it isn't done already. I would be surprised as hell if the infant mortality rate for C-section births was lower. Do you have any statistics for how many of the C-sections in the US are done as a convenience with no prior risk of major birthing complication as opposed to ones done as a life-saving procedure?
- turbomog007, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3The death rate for women giving birth plummeted in the 20th century.
The historical level maternal deaths is probably around 1 in 100 births. Mortality rates reached horrible proportions in maternity institutions the 1800s, sometimes climbing to 40 percent of birthgiving women. At the beginning of the 1900s, maternal death rates were around 1 in 100 for live births. The number today in the United States is 13 in 100,000, a decline by orders of magnitude.
The decline in maternal deaths has been due largely to improved asepsis, use of caesarean section, fluid management and blood transfusion, and better prenatal care.
sauce: wikipedia- antoniamart, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2Compare the current state of birth in the US to the Netherlands or Japan or any other developed country and you will see a disturbing discrepancy. "Mortality rates reached horrible proportions in maternity institutions the 1800s"- What maternity institutions? People gave birth at home largely until 1950's. The 40% mortality rate quoted, is 40% out of the 1% that was unsuccessfully delivered at home and required hospitalization in a time before ambulances and before there were near by hospitals. Listen, hospitals are a great thing when something goes horribly wrong, but birth in and of itself is not an illness. Doctors tend to look for problems where there aren't and you end up with more intervention than you need leading to complications.
- Pinkertinkle, on 07/12/2008, -0/+4I just got off a 24 hour shift on the birthing unit. We had 2 shoulder dystocias that were scary as hell. If it were my baby being born I'd much rather have an OR down the hall so if the baby's shoulders get stuck you don't just watch him/her turn purple and die.
- antoniamart, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1The scary things happen 1% of the time whether there is a midwife attending or an OB. I am not saying everyone should have a home birth, but allow the midwives back into the system, and you will see C-section rates go back way down. They are the ones with the experience to deal with labor. They have more hands on experience with births than OBs. Midwives have a success rate of 99%, why don't OB's?

- darladoon, on 07/12/2008, -0/+6i'd love to see more research into this, as far as baby health
- cinloykko, on 07/12/2008, -2/+2makes no sense... no nasty, just confusing...
- Alathea, on 07/12/2008, -3/+3The clinical, expendable nature of modern medicine is what makes these women so apprehensive in the first place. Pair that up with holier than thou State medical boards that make midwifery illegal in some states (NM that many midwifes are certified nurses already) and it's no wonderr mondern medicine is frowned on in some occasions. Unless you are having some sort of major complications the doctors aren't necessary. Even midwife, where it it legal, have a doctor on call somewhere, so its not like it isn't safe. Modern medicine kills babies too.
'- ArgusDrake, on 07/12/2008, -0/+4"Modern medicine kills babies too."
Significantly fewer than the alternative. Modern medicine has greatly increased the rate of successful births worldwide, and this is very evident when you look at population growth. I get the disdain for hospitals; it's a stressful environment. But there's a lot of things that can go wrong with live births, and throwing aside modern medicine for the sake of comfort is fool-hearty.

- desertDenizen, on 07/12/2008, -3/+13Strange? Weird?... As a man, I can't begin to comprehend the pain, fear, and weirdness of having an entire human being pop out of me under ANY circumstances. I think that every woman who attempts natural childbirth for the health of her baby is an extremely brave-ass ***** hero in the literal sense (selflessness). Anything that might lessen her pain seems worthy of investigation, and frankly, I'm hard pressed to see how any guy's judgment on this counts for dick. It would be much more instructive and relevant to hear opinions on this from women, esp those who have actually given birth. Are any of them here... on digg? Hello? Hello?
- danharlow, on 07/12/2008, -10/+3Shut up, you pussy.
- desertDenizen, on 07/12/2008, -1/+3I rest my case.
- danharlow, on 07/12/2008, -3/+3I called you a pussy because you are acting like one.
Let me quote your B.S. Women who have natural childbirth are 'extremely brave-ass ***** heroes"? Really? Heroes?
This next one is rich with B.S. :
"I'm hard pressed to see how any guy's judgment on this counts for dick".
Hey, *****, speak for yourself. Don't tell people when they can and can't have an opinion. If you don't have an opinion, then don't say anything at all (e.g., 'shut up, you pussy')
In fact, you are worse than a pussy, you are a fascist. You are acting like the George W. Bush of Digg when you say a persons opinion does not count for "dick" because you think you have the 'moral high ground'.
Now, why don't you go burn some books written by men. You can start by all the scientific journals that any man has ever published in and then you can go watch some man bashing television shows that are all the rage these days. Hell, I bet your best friend is a woman - a woman who won't have sex with you either. - desertDenizen, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2LOL re fascist.
If digg were a drinking game... everybody drink.
- s0nicfreak, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1Hello.
- brookea812, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1Hello - thanks for putting everyone in their place. You wrote the best comment on here.
- Lavarock, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3Or... as anyone who hasn't had a child... It's stupid to ignore any male input on something like this- I know Digg isn't the place for it but the majority of OB/GYNs are male. They know more about women's bodies than most women. Their input is at least as valuable as that of some childless nurse.
- danharlow, on 07/12/2008, -10/+3Shut up, you pussy.
- rmeddy, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2Doesn't this minimize the pain of childbirth?
- renemartini, on 07/12/2008, -4/+0Well this is nothing new they are calling traditional childbirth orgasmbirthwhatever, but its the same way every women had to go through to have a child.
Anyway think about it, almost 9 months of no sex any sensation down there will make you go orgasmic- ichbeineinrcg, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5Sex during pregnancy is doable. It's not always easy, but it can be done.
- joshdr, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3You think pregnant women don't have sex?
- Etheo, on 07/12/2008, -5/+2Wow.. this was serious? I honestly thought it was a parody of some sort until half the video was over...
- kelcraft, on 07/12/2008, -2/+16Oh give me a break. I delivered both of my 8+ lb children with no drugs.
It hurts. Not bad enough that I was willing to have a needle jammed in my back.
If I could have had an orgasm, that would have been nice, but frankly once I was past 8cm dialated, my focus was on moving the baby through the birth canal. Did I mention the pain?
Oh, and the Uterus contracts during orgasm. Hmm....isn't it already contracting?
I think this was a cute idea, a funny video, but nothing to take seriously.- spidoman, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5You're the first woman (I assume) that I have ever heard claim that because her birth was a certain way, all births are that way.
- bingo000, on 07/12/2008, -6/+2Are these women really lacking sexual pleasure enough that they want to have it giving birth to their babies? What a shock the child to have when he learns how he was born!
- TheSexyGeek, on 07/12/2008, -2/+1Why would it be a shock? Why should the feeling of conceiving a baby be so different from the feeling of delivering a baby. They all have the same purpose. Why feel pain if you could feel pleasure? Is there something wrong with pleasure?
You're bringing a new life into the world. Why shouldn't it feel good?- Lavarock, on 07/12/2008, -1/+1Cause it's a whole human body rammed down your *****. Nothing is going to fix that for most women.
- joshdr, on 07/12/2008, -1/+0Yeah, I'm sure that is it. The hours of intense pain (felt by most women) have nothing to do with it. I'm sure they are simply lacking sexual pleasure in their normal lives.
