- Pvisi111, on 07/03/2008, -2/+2Me too actually. When I came across this I realized I hadn't eaten breakfast this morning.
- sassyt, on 07/03/2008, -3/+14I always have breakfast, best meal of the day :)
- Pvisi111, on 07/03/2008, -2/+11True. You can't really argue with a meal that has bacon and omelets .
- modifiedbears, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2That's if you buy into the "these foods are only for this time of day" line of thinking.
- urik88, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1Who the hell has bacon and omelets for breakfast?
I have a coffee, and if I have time to slices of bread with dietetic white cheese.
Then run to college because I'm out of time. - passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0I used to have bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and baked beans pretty much everyday for breakfast when I was younger. Turned out it wasn't really good for me and I turned into a fatass. Now I have oatmeal and honey :(
- allan17, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Nothing beats a toasted bacon sandwich at lunch.
- urik88, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1"I used to have bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and baked beans pretty much everyday for breakfast when I was younger. Turned out it wasn't really good for me and I turned into a fatass. Now I have oatmeal and honey :("
Wish I had time for that :( .
- WallyAnti, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2I wish I could stomach breakfast, but most mornings I just don't feel like eating until after I'm on my way to work. Fortunately I work in the food industry so that's not a problem now.
Also breakfast food has always seemed too, I don't know, rich to me. I can throw down some pizza or black bean tacos for breakfast though. I'm weird.
- Pvisi111, on 07/03/2008, -2/+11True. You can't really argue with a meal that has bacon and omelets .
- Tr0w, on 07/03/2008, -2/+43Breakfast IS the most important meal of the day... if you're not home by then, you're in big trouble.
- passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -4/+2Not if you're single. I have breakfast in a different chick's place each weekend!
/Ok that was a lie.
- passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -4/+2Not if you're single. I have breakfast in a different chick's place each weekend!
- vafada, on 07/03/2008, -1/+33What's wrong with egg? I know egg has a high cholesterol, but egg is very nutritious. As long as a you watch your cholesterol intake for the rest of the day, i think egg is fine.
- jlmillstein, on 07/05/2008, -0/+20Yeah, I was just about to say, don't skip "the egg." Eggs provide the best types of proteins, are only 75 calories, and are a great fuel.
- Typhoon2009, on 07/05/2008, -1/+26If I'm not mistaken, it's actually been proven that the cholesterol found in eggs has little effect on total serum cholesterol levels. What really affects those levels are high amounts of saturated fats and trans fats.
Eat your eggs folks, they're damn tasty and good for you. Oh, and I'd give both you guys 10 diggs each if possible.- kevinwiz, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4Definitely don't remove the yolks, they contain all the protein and nutrients
- AriaStar, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1You're correct. There's an enzyme in eggs that prohibit the body from absorbing the cholesterol in them. If you can't absorb it all, it's not going to have a drastic effect.
- modifiedbears, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4Chickens should have the right to choose!
- TheMachine1, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2Buy the omega-3 enriched eggs to. (Chicken are feed flax)
- passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Just don't scramble them with excessive amounts of oil. Boil them.
- zer0nix, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2the last recent health issue i heard about eggs is that there's a strong correlation between eating eggs and dying earlier for men; apparently, even one egg a week is too much.
that said, it's only correlation and i LOVE my eggs so my dietary habits aren't likely to change soon.- Typhoon2009, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Whatever. I wanna get a motorcycle and I might join the military. If I keep wanting to do things like that, dying early won't be a surprise for me :P
- BillionWishlist, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1I am really bad. I probably have a real breakfast once a month max. Most of the time it is just an apple or mandarin on the way to work.
- bonds, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2Better than nothing
- KingGorilla, on 07/05/2008, -0/+3Better than booze
- Carnivale, on 07/03/2008, -1/+2I usually don't eat breakfast when I'm not on a schedule to be up around 6-8 in the morning. I still make an effort to sneak in orange juice somewhere in my day regardless.
- WallyAnti, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2Juice has a lot of sugar. You'd be better off taking the whole orange with you.
- MtheoryX, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2You would be surprised just how many oranges it takes to make an 8oz glass of orange juice. Last I heard it was close to 4 whole oranges. It really is a ton of sugar.
The whole orange would be much better, and they're fun to eat too! - WallyAnti, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Yeah, I use the slice once and invert method. Quick and clean bc you don't have to touch the flesh and get sticky fingers.
- BrownManUPS, on 07/04/2008, -2/+3Breakfast is the most awesome meal of the day. You can eat anything during breakfast time, and it perfectly acceptable. Plus, everything is usually good. Cereal, fruits, juices, waffles, pancakes, muffins, donuts, eggs, bacon....
- AkronGuy, on 07/05/2008, -3/+2#11 - Cures hunger
- GorfTron, on 07/05/2008, -0/+13Imo's Pizza leftovers is best breakfast ever.
- jascination, on 07/05/2008, -3/+6Ok, good article BUT what's with the screwed up typesetting?
"• Calorie cutting. People who don’t eat breakfast are likely to eat more calories throughout the day than people who skip lunch, according to the Nemours Foundation’s Center for Children’s Health and Media."- SkullAndXBones, on 07/05/2008, -0/+8It's a glitch in the matrix.
- idavidtang, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1It's a hidden game of spotting all the Â's.
- Mardala, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4They are Canadian. Â.
but really its ten reasons why copy and pasting from Microsoft word docs blows.
- blanketfury, on 07/05/2008, -4/+4Oh darn, I forgot to drink my 40 this morning.
- stevan2002, on 07/05/2008, -1/+5Read our upcoming sections to find the top 10 reasons you need fluid in your body.
(#1 If you don't, you will die. Painfully.) - JRjJ106, on 07/05/2008, -0/+19Joey Chestnut ***** ate 64 hot dogs today, and i bet he said ***** breakfast.
- passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2Just so people know, your stomach shrinks when you're hungry. He probably had a little to eat for breakfast.
- beware001, on 07/05/2008, -0/+8so... a pop tart on the way to my car counts right?
- bonds, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2I often have a couple of poptarts for breakfrast, nothing wrong with that. Enough to get your metabolism going in the morning, and coupled with your daily multivitamin, it's a decent "meal." Maybe throw down some oj on top of that, a granola bar with added protein(kashi is good) and you're all set.
- MtheoryX, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2I have a couple hard boiled eggs and an apple on the way to work. It's very portable, loaded with vitamins and energy, and you just can't look any cooler than while eating an egg, IMHO.
- bonds, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2I think the ultimate cool would be cracking it directly into your mouth, sans the salmonella.
- slyzxx, on 07/05/2008, -6/+3in the morning i don`t have time for breakfast.
- Jibberwalk, on 07/05/2008, -0/+10... Wake up... earlier?
- 1randomguyO8, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4Eat at work if can. That's what I do.
- bonds, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4Redefine breakfast. It doesn't have to mean sitting down at a table for 20 minutes.
- Elliottx, on 07/05/2008, -2/+15You know Digg is in trouble when a topic about eating breakfast makes it to the front page. =/
- Jibberwalk, on 07/05/2008, -1/+3You know Digg is in trouble when most of the comments on most of the stories are absolute and complete ***** -- on par with youtube.
That's not directed at you Elliottx, but just a general vent I felt needed to be released before I exploded my face off.- Elliottx, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I agree.
I blame 4Chan for the downfall of Digg, ever since they've been using it to "Protest Scientology" it's gone to *****.
- Elliottx, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I agree.

- xsquirrel378x, on 07/05/2008, -9/+4breakfast is for fags that cant wait til lunch

- Typhoon2009, on 07/05/2008, -1/+2Why does this letter appear before every apostrophe: Â?
- macaholic, on 07/05/2008, -0/+26Am I the only one who physically can't eat a large breakfast? To me it feels as if my body is regecting food until around 11ish, maybe that's just me though.
- 1randomguyO8, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Having a smaller breakfast and perhaps a smaller and/or earlier dinner the night before might help.
- bmystry, on 07/05/2008, -0/+411ish is breakfast time!!
- passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0Cram as much in as possible during breakfast, have a medium lunch and a small dinner. If you start doing that you'll get used to the routine. As long as you eat properly that is.
- WallyAnti, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I am the same, but I can stomach fruits and a little granola in the morning. I need large amounts of sugar as soon as I wake up or I don't really wake up.
I also have a bad habit of downing a coke as soon as I wake up so I can actually get out of bed. - suminona, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1The idea that "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" is similar to the slogan "Milk helps build strong bones" and the belief that you need to eat meat for big muscles. When you eat your calories each day is not as important as how many calories you eat. For an alternative, you can try intermittent fasting.

- Neticule, on 07/05/2008, -1/+4I only eat breakfast for dinner :)
- Iwantawii, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1OH you mean Brinner. I loves me some Brinner!
- WallyAnti, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Haha, yeah most breakfast food seems gross to me in the morning. But at dinner time it's juuuuuust right.
- oveedrx, on 07/05/2008, -2/+1Protein Shake ftw
- theshalit, on 07/05/2008, -6/+5Top 1 reasons why I dont have breakfast
1) work. - Croecop, on 07/05/2008, -0/+5Don't eat mothah ***** eggs? This list sucks.
- momogentoo, on 07/05/2008, -1/+0i never miss breakfast =)
- xsquirrel378x, on 07/05/2008, -5/+2No but seriously who has time to eat breakfast except bored housewives and people who wake up early for yoga and think life is awesome. On top of that why would i want to get addicted to waking up and eating? I'm already addicted to drinking coffee in the morning why would i want to add food to the list too?
- Codeblew, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1It is easy.
1. wake up
2. get ready for work
3. drive to work
4. arrive at desk and boot up laptop
5. walk to restaurant in my building and buy breakfast
6. eat breakfast while reading emails.
If I didn't have a restaurant at work, I would spend 15 minutes cooking and eating it before driving to work. - Eric3k, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Too bad you don't think life is awesome. Breakfast is awesome tho. Might as well have one part of your life be that way.
- 1randomguyO8, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1So you don't become fat, lazy and then die early?
- Codeblew, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1It is easy.
- SkullAndXBones, on 07/05/2008, -1/+3• WTF!?
- satanatnmtedu, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Ironic that the article in question doesn't claim to be the "top ten". It is just ten reasons why one should eat breakfast. I hate how people manipulate the titles into something that is questionable at best and an outright lie at worst.
- sara308, on 07/05/2008, -2/+0Ok so.. when are you going to start telling me the top 10 reasons why I should eat Mcdonalds every day, all day? Who cares about breakfast. Bring on the double cheeseburgers and large fries! Mmm.. lard.
- guitarchitect, on 07/05/2008, -1/+0For what it's worth, breakfast is the best time to get most of your Carbs as well - that way your body will use them for energy. Eat them for dinner, and your body will store them as fat. I eat a huge breakfast right after an hour of cardio every morning, and honestly I've been feeling great lately. I'm definitely sticking with it!
- passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0I don't see why people are digging you down? You're absolutely right. If you have a big breakfast full of carbohydrates like oatmeal, multigrain bread or anything low GI then you'll be able to burn it throughout the day and lose weight/keep fit. Just don't eat dinner full of carbs like pasta cause it will just turn to fat when you go to sleep.
- mrblue182, on 07/05/2008, -5/+5Skip the bacon? Why bother eating breakfast without bacon?
- alpha94, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Sodium nitrate = bad
- blanketfury, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0Because the Koran says so.
Bible != Koran > Bacon- Barackalypse, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Its hard to take a religion that doesn't let you eat bacon seriously. Religion is meant to deal with your relationship with God, not to dictate dietary requirements.
- Eric3k, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0Jesus adhered to the "no bacon rule" and rumor has it he was on a fine footing with God. You must be a Christian, right?
- Barackalypse, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Its hard to take a religion that doesn't let you eat bacon seriously. Religion is meant to deal with your relationship with God, not to dictate dietary requirements.
- passedoutghost, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0Because that much fat is not good for your arteries.
- alpha94, on 07/05/2008, -1/+2Saying not to eat eggs is a very uneducated thing to say.
- Jibberwalk, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Educate us as to why that may be then. Otherwise, your comment is useless.
Are you saying that from the perspective of a youthful adult who has no pre-existing health problems... or a person who is middle-aged who has to be very much concerned with cholesterol levels and heart disease?
- Jibberwalk, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Educate us as to why that may be then. Otherwise, your comment is useless.
- Barackalypse, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I also read about the importance of getting enough sleep. I don't have time for both, so which is more important, 15 more minutes of sleep or breakfast?
- Codeblew, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0How about get all your sleep and spend 15 minutes on breakfast. This isn't rocket science, I am sure you can figure it out.
- Falldog, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2Michael: What comes before anything? What have we always said is the most important thing?
George Michael: Breakfast.
Michael: Family.
George Michael: Family, right. I thought you meant of the things you eat. - rdmorley, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1For those who don't want to click:

- blanketfury, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1It's too early to eat sushi in the morning
- Ramenhood, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Mmm, Portuguese Breakfast.
- 1randomguyO8, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1Common sense. I think I have been hearing why breakfast is healthy for the last 15 years of my life. Now we just need an article explaining why water is great and why we need to drink 2 litres a day of the stuff..
- shoopdawoop, on 07/05/2008, -1/+0I eat pieces of ***** like you for breakfast.
- nobody98, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I wish I had some bacon right now. Really feel like fried eggs and bacon. yummy

- Pharoid, on 07/05/2008, -1/+0Does the Taco Bell I had at 4am this morning count as breakfast?
- Ramenhood, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1Reasons not to:
1. Eating takes time, why waste?
2. When you eat, you're body gets used to it, so will get hungry before lunch.
3. Some people, like me, cannot eat before 11am or will get terrible diarrhea.- dtotheb, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1nobody wants to hear about your diarrhea
- arfandualo, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0If i get up at 2pm and eat chicken, is that breakfast? or lunch?
- Jarasmen, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1Hmmm, breakfast IS awesome, however, this list is a bit biased in my opinion. People who eat breakfast every day will also more probably eat healthy, compared to those who don't care about breakfast, since they're more likely to not care what they eat at all. So, I don't think eating breakfast has that much of an impact as this article would make us believe. Staying healthy is an effect of overall good eating habits, and that's including not skipping meals.
- jcsoc, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1by reading this, I am not eating breakfast

- AppleBman, on 07/05/2008, -0/+0That's all fine and good, but what about those of us working rotating shifts? I work 12.5-hr shifts, 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off -- and I have for ten years. Should I eat breakfast at 4:30pm, before I go in for a night shift? Should I have lunch at 9pm and dinner at 2am?

We are well aware that if we neglect the oil level and the oil runs out, the motor will stop running.
