    A few comments on the ones I've played before.. Armagetron is addictive as hell... The flight sim used to be very.. buggy, but I will have to give it another go.

    Racer is updated more often than any other game I know of (except maybe TF2 :D)

    Anyhow, I've never taken a look at open-source games and I'm actually surprised at how high-quality some of the screenshots look. I'll have to give a couple of them a try.

    I just downloaded armagetron and wesnoth (damn it, digg! Recognize apt links!)
    Also Vegastrike is a really good space sim.
