  • philodygmn, on 06/15/2008, -3/+3Why would I pay Apple for an elegantly functional full product when I could cobble together something from unrelated enterprises on my own time (and, ultimately, dime) and painstakingly jury-my-rig a functioning system into existence? I mean, elegant design up-front? Takes out all the fun, especially when they make you pay them for all of their careful planning and near-flawless execution.

  • Zontar23, on 06/15/2008, -1/+0I am a Linux user and I found this pretty lame. I have paid for many OSes in my life. (Including versions of Linux!) The reasons I use Linux have nothing to do with money and everything to do with the tools and the underlying architecture.
