One Laptop Per Child XO Laptop from Give one Get One arrives
bioslevel.com — Laptops ordering during the first days of the Give One Get One program are beginning to arrive at donors' doorstops. Mine arrived yesterday, and I wrote a little ditty about it and took some video, too. Overall impression? Awesome.

- schestowitz, on 12/17/2007, -4/+3In fact, one schools has already purchased over 1000 Eee PCs for its students. That was in CA, IIRC. As for OLPC, Birmingham Alabama bought tens of thousands of these for students.

- BinaryCleric, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1Stop with the "If you were a real humanitarian" argument. It is totally invalid until you give it all away. Do you have food in your refrigerator? Do you have money in your pocket? Do you have clothes in your dresser? If you answered yes then by your argument you aren't a "real humanitarian". Colin gave over $200 of his hard earned dollars to give a laptop to a needy child. I don't think asking for one (and paying for it) for yourself is out of line.
