The Bill Gates Timeline
gizmodo.com — Here it is, the definitive Bill Gates timeline. It may contain some bugs and lack some features, but it works: from his parents to the last day of his work at Microsoft, the Bill Gates timeline shows his personal and business adventure —on the top—in relation to the tech industry—on the bottom—as his company takes over it all.

- ufia, on 06/28/2008, -3/+7The timeline is fake. Bill Gates is a cyborg. His true parents was a cryogenic lab.
- OffPiste, on 06/28/2008, -8/+1Unfortunately we're all left now with megalomaniacs like Jobs. Hopefully the cancer will metastasize.

- GorfTron, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5After all the Bill Gates stuff lately, I am sure I know his timeline better than my own.
- getisboy, on 06/28/2008, -2/+3hmm if gates was born in 55 and went to school in 67...i doubt he was 13
- redxii, on 06/28/2008, -0/+2Says he went to Lakeside School at 13.. current info on Lakeside School says grades 5 - 12, and at 13 he'd be 8th or 9th grade. 67 - 55 = 12.
- cruik, on 06/28/2008, -2/+4but when did he sell his soul?
- SuperMoses, on 06/28/2008, -0/+10Not enough Bill Gates stories on Digg
- n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 06/28/2008, -2/+3Pirates of Silicon Valley pretty much sums up the latter half of the time-line in detail.

- Myztry, on 06/28/2008, -1/+61985 - Commodore releases the first commercial 32bit pre-emptive multitasking GUI Operating System. Providing a template for domestic computing for the next quarter of a century. The Amiga had been planned by Jay Miner since the late 1970's but was unable to be realised until hardware matured to a capable level, and Commodore provided the financial resources...
Microsoft Windows didn't reach a comparable level until 1995. Microsoft (and Bill Gates) excel at business but suck at technology. - masfenix, on 06/28/2008, -4/+5Thankyou Gates. Thankyou for providing us with a OS that works! Granted it had its share of bugs and still do, but being a prop. software, updates are released fast. You've provided us with a GUI simplyfing things by ten fold. Your standard "File, Edit, View .." toolbar helped me master any software released. Your Win32 API has helped me give the world better programs in the VB 6 days. And now you have made it hell of a lot easier by giving us the .NET framework. Thankyou for IE. Granted IE 6 and below were bad, had ltos of bugs and security issues. But after the FF release the IE team have outdone themselves. Thankyou for providing us with IE 7. It has never crashed on me, never slowed my computer down, and never installed spyware.
You can now enjoy the rest of your life. I hope the rest of your life is very easy going, because you've made technology easy going for us.
PS, diggers here don't really like you. So I'll probably be dugg down. However most of these diggers will be using Windows, Office and other MS software. Don't pay any attention to them!
Once again, thankyou. - RSS14, on 06/28/2008, -2/+4A real Bill Gates time-line would never end, as his accomplishments will be remembered by humanity forever.
- antdude, on 06/28/2008, -0/+2Didn't Wired had a detailed timeline last month or so? I can't find it online. :(
- diggitydad, on 06/28/2008, -2/+2Gates took the SAT in 1590 and in 1600? He's not THAT old.
- Pulledteeth, on 06/28/2008, -1/+5I think this timeline needs to be defragmented.
- maxthreepwood, on 06/28/2008, -1/+2Apparently it reflects the spirit of Windows.
