Another Full Iron Man Trailer Launches - Holy Sh*t!
firstshowing.net — Just when you thought this incredible day was over, Iron Man decides to drop in and make one hell of an appearance! A brand new two-and-a-half minute trailer for Iron Man has just launched over at MySpace and it's epic.

- ryanmm, on 02/29/2008, -6/+357love RDJ as Tony Stark, amazing casting choice
- neckfire, on 02/29/2008, -2/+19Agreed. Smarmy bastard :)
- surian, on 02/29/2008, -1/+61I was really worried that Robert Downey jr. would bring this film down for some reason... then I saw this trailer. I can't imagine anyone else being able to play this role now. Can't wait.
- canyoodiggit, on 02/29/2008, -3/+3Looks SICK!!!
- viruz, on 02/29/2008, -15/+4I didn't get any nausea watching this?
- popfrogs, on 02/29/2008, -0/+13We don't know, did you? Why are you asking us?
- aliengoods, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8I'm going to say no, you didn't get any nausea.
Was I right? What did I win?
- viruz, on 02/29/2008, -15/+4I didn't get any nausea watching this?
- mufasa, on 02/29/2008, -0/+31RDJr was born for this part imho.
- ssn697, on 02/29/2008, -1/+21The studio didn't buy into RDJ at first. They had to be convinced (me too, frankly). Looks like the director knew what he was talking about. Helluva trailer though.
- J4k3, on 02/29/2008, -1/+13Yeah, I also wouldn't have picked him as the first choice. But amazingly he appears to give an awesome acting performance...like many others before me said, it looks like he was born for this role...he's perfect for it. I'm really happy for him and I hope this will be the turning point for his career as well as his life. God knows he's been through a lot.
- elitedw, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3imagine... dc vs marvel, two characters that are regular guys with no powers and are rich...
- superguysteve, on 03/01/2008, -1/+3digg that soundtrack!
- jwk4heels, on 03/01/2008, -0/+3At first I saw RJD and thought "Ronnie James Dio? No way." It kind of fits since you feel like throwing up the horns to Iron Man...
- h4ckler, on 02/29/2008, -10/+158All I can say is... HOLY *****! I cannot wait for this to come out. The TRAILER alone beats every other comic-book movie. Including Capt. America vs. Red Skull.
- bluezinc, on 02/29/2008, -8/+12I didn't like the trailer simply because I think it's showing me all the good parts of the film. I'd really like to be surprised in a film occasionally. I hate it when the trailer shows everything from the 1st and 2nd acts and most of the climax too.
- wedges, on 02/29/2008, -9/+2.
- innocentsinner, on 02/29/2008, -0/+6I agree 100%. The only thing worse are trailers for next week's episode of a TV show.
- saranagati, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1next weeks episode is no where near as bad as the trailer they play for the next show during the credits of the preceding show
- innocentsinner, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Good point, you win :P I remember that crap from when I used to watch Lost and 24 on TV instead of BitTorrent
- saranagati, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1next weeks episode is no where near as bad as the trailer they play for the next show during the credits of the preceding show
- wedges, on 02/29/2008, -1/+42i agree, but it only beats MARVEL movies. Batman Begins, and soon the Dark Knight, are still tops in my book. Not to mention V for Vendetta.
- Paradoxymoron, on 02/29/2008, -0/+9I liked the concept of V, and the content, there were good fight scenes, but on the whole it was not executed as well as the subject matter demanded. Batman Begins was awesome, and a welcome change from the campy B, C or worse comic book movies before, but they can't be compared until Iron Man is out...
- SilentSpyder, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3V was okay, but like always, it wasn't as good as the book.
- bonesmile, on 02/29/2008, -1/+16Let's not get ahead of ourselves...
- IglooBurner, on 02/29/2008, -4/+1giggity
- noots, on 02/29/2008, -4/+11sin city?
- IglooBurner, on 02/29/2008, -1/+20AC/DC, Audioslave, Black Sabbath... nice!
- WallnutBoy, on 02/29/2008, -2/+7Don't forget RATM.
- HouD, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3There is no Rage in that trailer. Only Tom Morello.
- WallnutBoy, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1Damn the Audioslave... My mistake =P Oh well at least I was close -_-
- HouD, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3There is no Rage in that trailer. Only Tom Morello.
- ch33sehead, on 02/29/2008, -0/+12LOVED the fact that they played "Iron Man" at the end.
- grinndaddy, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Yeah, but now I'm gonna have it stuck in my head all day.
- WallnutBoy, on 02/29/2008, -2/+7Don't forget RATM.
- sanman, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1Love the part where he catches the car! :O
- mklopez, on 02/29/2008, -8/+92I saw it during tonight's episode of LOST... geekasm!
- shaka776, on 02/29/2008, -1/+25Dude I cried at the end of Lost last night... when the phone call went through...that was awesome.
I'm not one of those super dedicated/ track everything kind of fans, but I love the show, and well, I got a little verklempft with the ending.- blackbeardtron, on 02/29/2008, -10/+4GAY.
Nah, but seriously it was touching. - sv650touring, on 02/29/2008, -2/+7hey, thanks for giving it away without a spoiler warning, now I won't have to watch it for myself
- t.toe, on 03/01/2008, -1/+2If it's such a spoiler, who makes the call, who receives the call, and what is the subject of their conversation based on the information shaka776 provided?
- antdude, on 03/01/2008, -0/+3Last night was episode! It reminded me of Back to the Future. I also almost cried at the end and I am a guy. :(
- blackbeardtron, on 02/29/2008, -10/+4GAY.
- lordtyros, on 02/29/2008, -0/+36That was the best non-season finale episode of LOST yet.
- below413, on 02/29/2008, -0/+16No, imho that was the best LOST episode of the entire series, including finales. Desmond and Sayid are the best characters on the show and the episode managed to give us only those two without all the stupid whiny bitching going on on the island.
- Soulbow2, on 02/29/2008, -7/+2The producers will never be able to tie all this together.
- blackbeardtron, on 02/29/2008, -0/+9Did you actually watch this episode? It actually went a long way towards explaining some things.
People who say things like that haven't been paying attention. It's a gradual process of handing out bits of information over time that add up to a whole.
- blackbeardtron, on 02/29/2008, -0/+9Did you actually watch this episode? It actually went a long way towards explaining some things.
- protodon, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2I'm glad to hear other people's opinion about that episode. I wasn't able to give it all my attention because both my dogs conveniently got sprayed by a skunk at 850 and before that I was just trying to wrap everything up and just immerse myself in Lost-land. That obviously didn't happen. Still I thought it was a good episode. This has been a really good season so far.
- antdude, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Couldn't you record and watch later?
- Paradoxymoron, on 02/29/2008, -8/+1I hate Lost, Heroes, and most of those shows. My personal preference leans twoards shows that have a mini-plot in every episode, each episode can be watched and understood alone, without forcing you to watch all of them, but there is still larger plot progression.
Like Chuck, Burn Notice, or Psych (the second of which is my favorite TV show of all time, it's a summer-only show, but i love it). - bubba9999, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1BTW, this is a different trailer than the one they showed during LOST last night.
- inverselogic, on 03/01/2008, -0/+0Nerdgasming...
- shaka776, on 02/29/2008, -1/+25Dude I cried at the end of Lost last night... when the phone call went through...that was awesome.
- kayless1, on 02/29/2008, -3/+14badass trailer. I love FirstShowing.
- allahuakbar, on 03/01/2008, -2/+1Poop.
- TheDiceMan, on 02/29/2008, -7/+11*speechless*
- wallcloud111, on 02/29/2008, -2/+3uh yea, i had NO interest in this movie till now!
- sherbertbones, on 03/01/2008, -8/+1How is this different from any other crappy CGI-infested hunk of crap? I mean look at the trailer. Generic *****-rock and too many cliche moments to even mention. If you morons keep funding the Marvel-movie franchise by doling out money to see this, then pretty soon we're going to get the bottom-of-the-barrel characters...like a Howard the Duck sequel.
- TheDiceMan, on 02/29/2008, -27/+207Actually. A strange thought has crossed my mind - am I now looking forward to Iron Man more than I am Batman? :-s
- walkea1, on 02/29/2008, -1/+51No. But you're getting closer.
- thejumbo, on 02/29/2008, -8/+3Agreed.
- theragu40, on 02/29/2008, -0/+13This looks pretty sweet...but it's going to have to be pretty amazingly kickass to start getting close to the Dark Knight in my mind.
- RRJackson, on 02/29/2008, -2/+12Did you miss that big bank robbery preview that was showing before I Am Legend in IMAX theaters? Cause DK looks pretty amazing. Although, if they don't kill The Joker at the end of the movie they're going to have to eventually bring him back as another actor and that will suck.
This looks pretty great, though. I like Favreau, anyway. I think he's *way* underrated as a director. And casting Robert Downey Jr. was absolute genius. He was born to be Stark.- TheDiceMan, on 02/29/2008, -3/+6"Did you miss that big bank robbery preview that was showing before I Am Legend in IMAX theaters?"
I'm afraid I did, it was a conscious decision - to keep from spoiling the movie. Keep it special or whole or something.- Caeles, on 02/29/2008, -2/+5Amen
- RRJackson, on 03/01/2008, -1/+1Then I guess you shouldn't have watched this Iron Man trailer, either.
- sorepheet, on 02/29/2008, -5/+2"Although, if they don't kill The Joker at the end of the movie they're going to have to eventually bring him back as another actor and that will suck."
Ledger is(was) the 'new' Joker... Nicholson was first, and excellent I might add.- RRJackson, on 02/29/2008, -1/+4Actually, Cesar Romero was the first Joker. He wasn't Christian Bale's Joker, though. Neither was Nicholson.
- Tyrghast, on 03/01/2008, -1/+2Nicholson played Jack Nicholson, not the Joker. He's only good at one thing: Looking like an angry alcoholic.
- SilentRamble42, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2OR they could break this horrible cycle that Hollywood has where they feel the need to kill all the villains.
- TheDiceMan, on 02/29/2008, -3/+6"Did you miss that big bank robbery preview that was showing before I Am Legend in IMAX theaters?"
- korea, on 02/29/2008, -12/+2Wait, Iron Man and Batman are different?
- hammerpants, on 02/29/2008, -1/+17I read your comment as, ..."am I now looking forward to Iron Man or am I Batman?" I felt like we had a real connection...then I re-read it and took my meds.
- tikiman453, on 02/29/2008, -8/+1just wait till downey dies then ask yourself the same question. you might not want to see either of them due to the guilt. maybe the movie gods are getting tired of all these super hero movies and have started to take their wrath out on the ones playing their 3D counterparts.
- nullx42, on 02/29/2008, -3/+13One things for sure, Its going to have a kick ass soundtrack. AC/DC, Audioslave, Black Sabbath, and I speculate... for pure awesomeness alone, Some Iron Maiden.
- telight71, on 02/29/2008, -3/+14I am pumped. Jr. is a great person for this role!
- IAmTomCruise, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2Yeah me too. Remember Ben Affleck in Daredevil plus no plot?
- bsegovia, on 02/29/2008, -5/+74HOLY ***** *****~! Robert Downy is PERFECT for that role. WHOOO!
- swrostmore, on 02/29/2008, -60/+9I love digging advertisements to the front page!
- KipEvil, on 02/29/2008, -23/+9FAP FAP FAP
- Shadowfox99, on 02/29/2008, -3/+2Oh yea....u like that metal armor dont you? http://www.snafu-comics.com/?strip_id=274
- Animental, on 02/29/2008, -11/+305It's a little known fact that Tony Stark's suit is powered by cocaine.
- zengonzo, on 02/29/2008, -0/+38Yeah .. He can 'fly'.
- amoirae, on 02/29/2008, -0/+38You're thinking of Andy Dick who converts cocaine into riboflavin.
- moskaudancer, on 02/29/2008, -0/+13Dugg for riboflavin - my favorite micronutrient.
- UNDERSTAR, on 02/29/2008, -7/+6And powered by orphans from Bender B. Rodriguez Orphanarium
- ghunt, on 02/29/2008, -4/+0It's powered by whiskey.
- selfobsessed, on 02/29/2008, -2/+35Well it is a helluva drug.
- belleaux, on 02/29/2008, -3/+1Well said
- vikingkory, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2i think there was baking soda in it too.
- elpayo, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Just like Dr. Rockso
- mechman, on 02/29/2008, -6/+192"What? It's not the worst thing you've caught me doing."
I said that to my wife one time; she walked in while I was watching the video of the naked WoW elf. =/- mtg1287, on 02/29/2008, -1/+111Only on digg could you say that and not be harassed
- JPamplin, on 02/29/2008, -3/+33Well played sir. Well played.
- gambyt13, on 02/29/2008, -0/+14T. M. I.
- mtg1287, on 02/29/2008, -1/+111Only on digg could you say that and not be harassed
- shadowspawn, on 02/29/2008, -8/+65i have an iron woody for this movie.
- tinydoc, on 02/29/2008, -1/+38Wouldn't that be an "irony?"
- robdiggity, on 02/29/2008, -0/+15punnery
- Aadain, on 02/29/2008, -1/+14You're punstatic
- HolyMan28, on 03/01/2008, -0/+4Punominal.
- tinydoc, on 02/29/2008, -1/+38Wouldn't that be an "irony?"
- Asberry, on 02/29/2008, -5/+35I love it, but at the same time I'm worried that they are showing too much of the movie's badass scenes. I love it when my jaw drops for a trailer, but a lot of the stuff in this trailer would have been more enjoyable if I hadn't seen it till I was in the cinema.
- W00K13, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2no shi7, I remember thinking the same thing when "SW, The Phantom Menace" came out. After seeing the movie I thought if they had only left the double-bladed lightsaber reveal out of the commercial, everybody in the theatre would have shat their collective pants!
- xaxxon, on 03/01/2008, -0/+4that's not why I didn't like that movie. Holy cow is that not why I didn't like that movie. Can you say Senor Jar Jar Binks?
If they'd shown that in the previews I would have known not to go. Actually I don't think I went opening day. But still.
- xaxxon, on 03/01/2008, -0/+4that's not why I didn't like that movie. Holy cow is that not why I didn't like that movie. Can you say Senor Jar Jar Binks?
- SharkyTech, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1My thoughts exactly, I kind of regret seeing it now. Hopefully between now and May I will at least partially forget it.
- blackmage439, on 02/29/2008, -5/+13*TEAR... It's beautiful...
- antiorblkflag9, on 02/29/2008, -7/+1The soundtrack isn't
- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -96/+13Wow. Major fanboy-ism going on here... I'm frankly shocked. From the trailer alone, I'd say that this movie is going to suck. Hard. The only real flying RDJ will be doing will be crash and burn, as he's in a major flop just waiting to happen.
Pretty much all the non-comic-book-nerd people I've talked to agree with me on this. It looks cheesy and stupid as hell to anybody unfamiliar with the comic books, and the choice of RDJ has turned a lot of people off the movie.
I predict that Ironman will be a complete catastrophe at the box office. It might make money on the DVD, but that's about it.- Ajajadude, on 02/29/2008, -2/+20I was never into Iron Man, not a HUGE comic book fan (own a bunch, but my collection is nothing short of random) but I think this movie is going to be badass.
- Sherman901, on 02/29/2008, -1/+7same here. i never really liked iron man. and i've only read 2-3 spiderman comics in my life time.
- bemenaker, on 02/29/2008, -2/+27I'll take that bet.
- PixelMagic, on 03/01/2008, -0/+4You're gonna regret, 'cause he's the best there's ever been.
- Sherman901, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1hahahaha
wow, did not see that one coming
- Sherman901, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1hahahaha
- PixelMagic, on 03/01/2008, -0/+4You're gonna regret, 'cause he's the best there's ever been.
- NinjaPig, on 02/29/2008, -1/+7I actually thought the response during the comic con announcements was pretty overwhelmingly positive.
- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -13/+2Thank you for proving my point. 99.99% of the people in this world do not hear the announcements from "comic-con".
- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -13/+2Thank you for proving my point. 99.99% of the people in this world do not hear the announcements from "comic-con".
- cabooglio2, on 02/29/2008, -2/+16I gotta say, I've never read a single issue of Ironman and I've recently soured on Hollywood blockbusters, but I'm gonna disagree with you here. I find that preview pretty compelling.
- pnmoore, on 02/29/2008, -2/+12I have NO comic books, never was into Iron Man and this movie seems like it is going to be awesome. Maybe I am just the exception to your prediction? Nah, just think you may be wrong. I am usually pretty dead on with my assessment of movies like this...
- b15fliptop, on 02/29/2008, -2/+12I would say it's apparent from the comments here, on AICN, /Film, First Showing and the Movie Blog that you, sir, are firmly entrenched in what the lay person calls "the minority".
- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -14/+1The people on AICN, /Film, First Showing, and the Movie Blog are all movie nerds. They have no idea what the public likes, as is evident from, oh, everything they have ever said, ever.
- Trykt, on 02/29/2008, -1/+5You're fighting a losing battle here, ace.
"But everyone else is wrong! You'll see!"- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -6/+2I don't know what you're thinking, but I'm not fighting any battles. I'm stating my opinion. That's all. Whether people digg it up or down doesn't actually make any difference, as that's just their opinion as well. And I really don't give a damn about whether everybody agrees with me or not.
- Trykt, on 02/29/2008, -1/+5You keep posting trying to defend yourself. If you really weren't interested you would just shut the ***** up.
Shut the ***** up. Seriously. - thanakar, on 02/29/2008, -1/+4You ARE fighting a battle Otto, you've shown that with all the post defending your position. You actually have no idea what the public wants either. I'm part of the public and I want this movie.
- Xondar, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3Wait, wait, wait... You say that "the public" will hate this movie, yet you also say that "I really don't give a damn about whether everybody agrees with me or not."
Shouldn't everyone be agreeing with you that this movie will bomb then?
- Trykt, on 02/29/2008, -1/+5You're fighting a losing battle here, ace.
- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -14/+1The people on AICN, /Film, First Showing, and the Movie Blog are all movie nerds. They have no idea what the public likes, as is evident from, oh, everything they have ever said, ever.
- fool13, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3I don't own any comic books but this movie looks pretty good. If the reviews speak well of it I'll see it in theaters or if it's another Hulk I'll probably watch it when its on HBO in a few years.
- gpageau, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3Seriously, this movie is not going to crash. RDJ was inspired casting, if only because he can pull off the smarmy recovering alcoholic Tony Stark like no one else.
"Pretty much all the non-comic-book-nerd people I've talked to agree with me on this." That's not a ringing endorsement of your social circle, and tells us more about who you hang with than how good or bad this movie will be.- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -5/+1RDJ is simply not a box office draw for an action flick. Sorry.
And the fact that I know a wide variety of people, some of which are not comic-book-nerds, you find to be a bad thing? Well, I'm certainly glad I don't have your friends. In fact, if I was one of your friends, I'd probably be insulted by your post.- thanakar, on 02/29/2008, -2/+3I"m not a comic book nerd, nor are any of my friends and every one of them thoroughly enjoy the trailer and are looking forward to this movie. You seem to have a heavy axe to grind when it comes this movie Otto. Forget your meds today?
- limes4all, on 02/29/2008, -2/+2you and your friends sound like assholes
- Otto, on 02/29/2008, -5/+1RDJ is simply not a box office draw for an action flick. Sorry.
- kenyan, on 02/29/2008, -2/+3Can we quote you on that box office quote there?
- Xondar, on 02/29/2008, -2/+3I don't know anything about the comic book at all. In fact the only exposure to Iron Man I have is the kickass Black Sabbath song.
But I think this movie looks awesome. - Darph.Bobo, on 02/29/2008, -2/+2Well Otto, we'll all meet you back here when the movie opens to laugh at your stupid prediction. Hope you'll join us and not hide like a sniveling coward.
- Encablossa, on 03/01/2008, -3/+3This movie is gonna suck massive flapping donkey dick. A typical Hollywood failure.
- homeagain1, on 03/01/2008, -1/+3Yup. Typical cheesy, boring action movie. Hyped up by comic book nerds
- Ajajadude, on 02/29/2008, -2/+20I was never into Iron Man, not a HUGE comic book fan (own a bunch, but my collection is nothing short of random) but I think this movie is going to be badass.
- Sozzi, on 02/29/2008, -5/+16let me pick my jaw up from off the ground.
- Falldog, on 02/29/2008, -7/+1I thought Pepper never knew that Tony was Iron Man?
- mercano, on 02/29/2008, -1/+4In the Ultimate universe, everyone knows Tony Stark is Iron Man. For that matter, in the standard Marvel Continuity, during Civil War, Stark actually lead the "no secrete identities" faction, so it's common knowledge there too. (At least until the next retcon.)
- Falldog, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1Gah, forgot about all that. The last Iron Man comics I read were the recent restarts like "Enter the Mandarin"
- aw3s0me, on 02/29/2008, -17/+5it looks good, but not 'Holy Sh*t!" good or epic ..
- bbardlbradd, on 02/29/2008, -7/+3You should have posted this /after/ all of the fanbois left. I agree. Not *holy ****** status.
- NinjaPig, on 02/29/2008, -12/+7Man, I just wish they just didn't rush the cgi scene to make the superbowl deadline.
I somehow feel like the movie has lost a bit of its "magic". The new refined background of the scene looks much better. But yeah, robert downey is going to be awesome. - luke16, on 02/29/2008, -17/+32:12 = You can see a mark III fighting a mark I. So this means someone must steal his robot or something...
- Mr.Gone, on 02/29/2008, -1/+23Yeah, he's fighting the Iron Monger, the guy that was looking at the Mark 1 design in the trailer. You know, the same trailer the question is about. The one you just watched. You better not be in my theater pointing out obvious plot points.
- robdiggity, on 02/29/2008, -5/+4Iron Man (Tony Stark) will be played by Robert Downey Jr., and not Morton Downey Jr. as has been widely reported.
- wepeel, on 02/29/2008, -6/+3I got the impression from this trailer that the people who originally kidnapped him found his plans for the Mark I and built their own
- spudnic, on 02/29/2008, -0/+14That was probably because that's exactly what they showed.
- spudnic, on 02/29/2008, -3/+4...did you watch the trailer?
- BigW, on 02/29/2008, -6/+1It looks like the terrorists might get his plans and build one of their own suits.
- UNDERSTAR, on 02/29/2008, -8/+14They finally fix that tank scene at the end of trailer. Good for them!! :)
- wondertwins, on 03/01/2008, -0/+6what was wrong with it before?
- Laterali, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1?
- UNDERSTAR, on 03/01/2008, -1/+1If you must know, Im referring to the same tank scene that was shown as a teaser commercial during the Superbowl that looked like *****.
- Jumpeplowski, on 03/13/2008, -0/+0I atcually thought the teaser version was better. Maybe I was drunk >.
- Slick37c, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Wow.

- MindTrigger, on 02/29/2008, -4/+13What an amazing trailer! Downey kicks ass, and I am glad to see he has pulled his ***** together for an epic comeback role. I hope he gets even more work after this movie annihilates box offices this summer.
- usingpond, on 02/29/2008, -1/+8What the ***** are you talking about? He "came back" like 7 years ago.
- MindTrigger, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2What role did he play when he "came back"? He's had nothing but small roles, and roles in offbeat movies such as "A Scanner Darkly." To say he has pulled a comeback in the way that John Travolta revived his career with Pulp Fiction, is simply ludicrous. *That* is a come back. At best, Downey got back on the radar as a supporting actor, but now he's in a lead role and it might revive him completely.
- andersan, on 02/29/2008, -0/+7Watch Kiss Kiss Bang Bang for an epic Downey movie.
- MindTrigger, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2That is one of those movies I am aware of, but somehow haven't seen. I'm going to get it this weekend. Thanks!
- imaxami, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Definitely a MUST SEE - fast paced and worth a 2nd viewing to catch up.
- bjs3171, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1actually he's released a good movie atleast once a year for the past few years. A Scanner Darkly, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Zodiac, Goodnight Good Luck, and now THIS. This incredible looking epic piece of comic movie perfection.
- usingpond, on 02/29/2008, -1/+8What the ***** are you talking about? He "came back" like 7 years ago.
- alphaeno, on 02/29/2008, -19/+2I just got into an argument with my wife because she wanted to buy popcorn while watching this movie. I want to watch the freaking movie, not listen to the crunching of popcorn...
btw, I will see this movie!- noots, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8hi, i'm a marriage counselor. Take a seat.
- damndj, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1Then why are her hands so far down your pants?

(yes it's a quote from another movie)- JPamplin, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1Are you referring to Top Gun or another?
- hammerpants, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1I think he's referring to just about every porno or an early Schwartzeneggar film.
- tikiman453, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1i thought he was talking about jarhead. that's better than the 2 you guys suggested. =)
- hammerpants, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2Jarhead > Porn
- tikiman453, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2haha! YES! finally someone else understands!!1

- lukas2k, on 02/29/2008, -9/+10That's gonna be interesting to see how Batman is going to do vs Iron Man at the box office... My bet is on Iron Man...
- NinjaPig, on 02/29/2008, -0/+16Dark Knight will rule the box office with its hype alone 250 mill+ easy. Iron Man will do above 150 mill and come back for a second outing, if it can establish some sort of style.
- fool13, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3With the passing of Heath Ledger Batman is going to have a tremendous outing at the box office.
- SPARTACVS, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Unfortunate but true.
- fool13, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3With the passing of Heath Ledger Batman is going to have a tremendous outing at the box office.
- Niceguy4186, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1With all the snappy oneliners I can see Tony Stark becoming the next "wolverine" as far as getting a huge fan base, but the Dark Night will rule the box office.
- revenz, on 03/03/2008, -0/+2Dark Knight, get it right. and i think tony stark will be cooler than wolverine, he wasn't all that great in those movies, well no where near as cool as he could be
- 1807, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2What if a movie about Mike Ditka and Chuck Norris vs. Hurrican Ditka came out? I would have to say that a movie like that would own.
- shakbhaji, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Daaaaaaaaaaaa Bearsss
- clarkd, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1To be honest, I am more excited for Iron Man. It just seems more fun. Plus, Robert Downey Jr. gives it a different feel that is really making me interested. Anyway, as of right now if I only had 15 bucks and they were in the movies I would go see Iron Man.
- NinjaPig, on 02/29/2008, -0/+16Dark Knight will rule the box office with its hype alone 250 mill+ easy. Iron Man will do above 150 mill and come back for a second outing, if it can establish some sort of style.
- thejumbo, on 02/29/2008, -10/+2I love the scotch glass in the desert - brilliant.
This looks sufficiently badass - and Jeff Bridges is decidedly NOT the Dude. - Chaoticfist, on 02/29/2008, -14/+4I thought iron man was gonna be some crap ass money maker. Was i ever wrong.....I can haz plz?
- JPamplin, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2Don't feed the trolls, boys.
- danielpyle, on 02/29/2008, -9/+4For some reason I was think it was going to be Morton Downey Jr....I am so glad that I was wrong...great trailer...I hope the whole movie lives up to it.
- Chewie67, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1That would be pretty impressive, considering that he's dead!
Honestly, not many here will get that reference. They're too young...- danielpyle, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Yeah ...but up until recently Robert Downey Jr was dead...good to see him make it....Alive
- phrenzy, on 02/29/2008, -0/+0Hehe he could go around slapping girls in the face.
Morton was/is the father of Springer, Jenny, etc. Complete with the fights and chanting / rowdy audience. A man ahead of his time.
- Chewie67, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1That would be pretty impressive, considering that he's dead!
- BESTenemy, on 02/29/2008, -7/+12The suit assembly looked a bit like Starcraft 2 teaser cinematic. Great stuff.
- iSeven, on 03/01/2008, -1/+4not sure why people are digging you down, but thats what I first thought as well when I saw that part.
- mattdiggsit, on 02/29/2008, -15/+148Nobody wants him

- saxreturns, on 03/01/2008, -2/+1Agreed. It's incredible how marketing people can edit clips from an amazing film down into 2 minutes to make it look like just another hackneyed chunk of Hollywood turd.
- shdwfthsun, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2#1 example: X-Men 3! That trailer was better than this one and just thinking about the shallowness of the plot makes me want to kick Brett Ratner (and possibly Bryan Singer for directing Superman Returns) in the balls.
- JParsons4, on 02/29/2008, -27/+8Christian Bale > Robert Downey Jr

- Chewie67, on 02/29/2008, -4/+23Gotta say, I had to stop watching the trailer.
I seemed like it was showing too much of the plot. I want to be surprised a bit. I hate it when the trailer gives away too much of the movie.
That said, the movie looks better than I had expected. I'll see this one in the theaters...- usingpond, on 02/29/2008, -0/+18Huh? They reveal he was captured by terrorists or something and he busted out, and that's pretty much it. It's like revealing Batman's parents were shot.
- gmiley, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Yeah, the trailer doesn't give anything at all away. It mostly consisted of action scenes of Stark flying around in his suit and stuff blowing up.
- tyler2k, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3NOOO YOU BITCH
- thedaylights, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1you made me LOL in my pants

- jon30041, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2Umm... actually, a cursory look at the trailer reveals the climactic villain...
I'm sorta sad I've now seen that, but *****' stocked for Audioslave. God, I love "Cochise"...

- elpayo, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1That was a Shelby Cobra.
- TheZorch, on 02/29/2008, -9/+2I love it when he dodges the shot from the tank, fires a missile, it hits and does nothing and he turns away as the tank blows up like an over ripe melon. That was classic!
- clemdionisio, on 02/29/2008, -1/+4Wow thanks. I almost forgot that scene.
- PixelMagic, on 03/01/2008, -0/+5You're right! There's never been a movie where the actor walks toward the camera with an explosion behind them! What will they think of next?!?!?

- buymagicfish, on 02/29/2008, -39/+10Seriously?!?!?!
You are all excited about IRON MAN???
Am I taking crazy pills or something?
1) It will be cheesy as hell.
2) Robert Downy jr will over act to the point of being cringe-worthy.
3) The whole cast will have the combined acting talent of an episode of Days of our Lives.
4) It will be completely forgettable.
5) The story will be meaningless.
6) The film creators' knowledge of Iron Man will be pretty much limited to a glance at a dozen comic book covers.
7) If you do end up liking this movie, it is because you are, or have the mental capacity of a jr. high school student.
8) It will probably be great if you are stoned. Which can be a good thing (The Big Lebowski) but also an awful thing (any Uwe Boll movie).- provost, on 02/29/2008, -3/+9hey here is a thought.. maybe you should see the movie before sounding like a total ass. If people want to be excited for it because they are hopeful and like the trailer, thats one thing. For you to say it sucks without seeing it is totally retarded.
- EarlOfLade, on 02/29/2008, -3/+7You watch movies not stoned???
- CourtesyFlush, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3Nah....it appears they were puckering sphincter pills.

- mandarin, on 02/29/2008, -2/+7For someone who never saw the movie, you sure mouth off like you did

- r00tus3r, on 02/29/2008, -5/+3I really don't get what the hype is about either, but I'll be damned if I'll sit here and bash it in the middle of a marvel fanfest and get dugg down to the ground
- Cenobite, on 02/29/2008, -2/+5Buried for ripping on Days of our Lives.
- buymagicfish, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2You win
- SkullPizza, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2I honestly don't understand #3, I mean aside from the fact that you couldn't have seen it yet, there are multiple academy award winning actors in the cast and the lead is a nominee. I think this troll is successful.
- Encablossa, on 03/01/2008, -1/+1This movie is stupid as the concept.
- etnuts, on 03/01/2008, -1/+1you sound like you watched broke back mountain
- invisiblehat, on 02/29/2008, -3/+24Robert Downey Jr. is an awesome actor. I think he is very underrated. I am having a very difficult time thinking of a movie that he wasn't awesome in.
- sfgeek, on 02/29/2008, -1/+9I think everybody in Hollywood knows he's a genius, but I think for some time there was the fear that mid-filming he'd end up in jail on drug charges and torpedo a production.
Now that he's been out of trouble for some time, it looks like people are taking a chance on him... and all of us are luckier for it!
I can't remember the last time I was this excited to see a movie, this looks EPIC. - sydlexius, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3For an actor/musician that's been Oscar, and Emmy nominated as well as a recipient of Golden Globe, BAFTA, and SAG awards, I'd say he's very much recognized by industry and peers. I can only imagine the accolades will continue with this film's release.
- charlietuna, on 03/02/2008, -0/+1yes awesomely awesome: both pithy and eloquent. I am sure William F. Buckley Jr. could not top that.
- bjs3171, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1he's not underrated. he's one of the most talented actors of our time.
- sfgeek, on 02/29/2008, -1/+9I think everybody in Hollywood knows he's a genius, but I think for some time there was the fear that mid-filming he'd end up in jail on drug charges and torpedo a production.
- diggerphelps, on 02/29/2008, -21/+15Good trailer != good movie. In fact, trailers often mask a movie's shortcomings by pulling only the best parts and editing them together in a way that *looks* more exciting.
Stop creaming yourselves.- buymagicfish, on 02/29/2008, -14/+4sorry i meant to give you a thumbs up, pressed thumbs down instead
