abduzeedo.com — Today is the grand opening of The Dark Knight, and we are all really excited! How much butt will this movie kick? A LOT. And to celebrate its opening, we're making a collection of all Batman Movies Posters (or just the best ones, as you wish).

Why are people so excited about this movie, they weren't this excited about the last one ( for good reason ) I haven't seen a preview or anything yet, and yes i want to see this movie. Wow though it's super over hyped and many people I have met who I would NEVER think would like batman, are freaking out about this movie. It's gotta be the best movie since i dont even know.

I love batman, and who doesn't, which might simply answer my question as to why everyones so excited. I just thought the last like 4 were horrible and I'm just curious about the difference from this one and all the other newer ones, besides a ridiculous amount of advertising.

  • belebih, on 07/19/2008, -0/+28The posters show one of the big reasons why the Kilmer and Cloony Batman films didn't work: too much color! Batman and Batman Returns both have this dark aesthetic with mostly just black and white plus blueish overtones (typical Tim Burton), which is what Nolan did on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

    But when you look at the Batman Forever and Batman and Robin films, it's like the unicorns from My Little Pony suicide bombed the hell out of the sets which nauseated Rainbow Bright making her barf rainbows all over the place. I'm glad Nolan had the common sense to go back to making the dark knight actually dark.
