- AmyVernon, on 07/22/2008, -2/+9it's amazing this is the 21st century and slavery is still a scourge... sigh.
- soloride, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4there is no reason to sigh... lets all just go out and do something about it!
- benpattersonca, on 07/22/2008, -1/+7I guess we DIDN'T take care of this 200 years ago.
- Death2injustice, on 07/22/2008, -0/+6Exploring around the website is helpful. Cool vision for the film.
- ianesque, on 07/22/2008, -1/+8Amazing musical documentary about a tragic problem. Check it out! You can make a difference...

- Brandileigha, on 07/22/2008, -1/+11WTH? Why doesn't everybody know about this?
- benpattersonca, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5Ridiculous that there are 27 million people living under the definition of slavery, and we are prosecuting bicycle theft at a higher rate than human trafficking cases here in the US.
- btschul, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3We're probably prosecuting more "pirates" (file sharers) than human traffickers.
- soloride, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5Does anybody know if there is a youtube link? If there is a link maybe we could get the video to rank well on youtube.
- soloride, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2I just submitted the youtube link (thanks kdawgr for the link):

- alapoet, on 07/22/2008, -1/+8"Never forget: Justice is what love looks like in public!"
I love that Cornel West quote.- chaos7, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1actually i think that quote is bs
- nicholasdog, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5How do we respond once we receive the call? MLK JR. or Malcolm X?
- Death2injustice, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1seems like a combo of both - the film is going to fund projects in the field both combative against slave traders and supportive of victims.
- ilovelemonade, on 07/22/2008, -2/+1glad this dirty secret is being revealed. truth is always, always revealed.
- kdawgr, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1i really hope this gets the word out on a large scale. well done.
soloride, i poked around a bit and found it on youtube. same trailer.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=mS-0CHXfyIk - smartcause, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5Ok, I agree that this is absolutely terrible...but the call to action on the Web site is to see the movie, tell people about the movie, post flyers about the movie, etc. Can we have a call to action that is more direct to DOING something about it?!?! Because as much as I believe awareness needs to be raised (and it absolutely does), if it stops at raised-awareness (and for many people who digg the article or watch the movie, it will), then that doesn't get anyone out of slavery.
- benpattersonca, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1The film is setup as a non-profit, they are giving everything to projects on the front lines of human trafficking in partnership with other NGO's like Not For Sale Campaign, International Justice Mission, Free The Slaves, etc.
You are right.... Awareness never set anybody free - pissed off people willing to DO something set people free.

- treehelper, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2Brilliant material for my students. The more who know the more who can be actioned to make a change! God help us. My entire country (New Zealand) 3 & a half times over make up the number of kids in slavery...that they know of.
- Brandileigha, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Non profits like Not For Sale, International Justice Mission and safe houses that work to free these people are largely underfunded...as most non profits are. If you look closely you'll see that all of the money from every ticket sold will go directly to organizations already on the front lines of this battle. So they want you to buy a ticket and tell others to buy a ticket for a good reason. It's actually a very practical way to take action. I'm going to tell everyone I know to see this movie!!
- uclabruinfan, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0Where is the love? Let's stop this junk that is happening right underneath our noses. Can't wait for the film to come out.
- chris1234, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1everybody must watch this video
- cheesychuckie, on 07/23/2008, -1/+0This film has to be shown here in Manila. It has to be shown EVERYWHERE!
This is a worldwide phenomenon, and something has to be done. - btschul, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3It's hard to believe that Paris Hilton's vagina makes the news when there is stuff like this going on.
- tbabe29, on 07/24/2008, -1/+1insightful
- mymichelle25, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0Dude, seeing this movie IS a practical way to help end slavery since all the proceeds are going to charities that are already spearheading the most effective attempts to solve this problem. You want to help end slavery? Buy a ticket & tell your friends to also.
- Daamien, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1The use of celebrity in the video rubbed me the wrong way. However, I am supportive of the cause.
- tbabe29, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1It is a tough call with the celebrity cuz there is a sense of ....is this a publicity thing to make them look good? I believe they are genuine, but I know some people will think they are using this to further their careers on some level. It's hard to relate or identify with a celebrity. On the other hand, sometimes it takes celebrity to get the word out. I remember reading a quote from Bono in regards to some of the stuff going on in Africa and he said something like this "I am a rock n roll rock star and am the last person you should be hearing this from- but that is how our media works." very true.
- Daamien, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1I was referring to the part near the end where it flashed the names of celebrities on the screen. I could care less and am rather insulted that my support should be somehow related to their involvement.

- Skeeky, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0One of the things you can do right now is spread the word about this film. When it comes to your town, bring people with you to see it.
Start talking about this issue with your friends and co-workers. Make this an important issue! Call your representatives, because this it happening here in the US in addition to other places in the world.
The celebrities in the film are people that are committed to ending world slavery, they aren't there just to draw attention. I've had the opportunity to see the film. The Matisyahu performances are amazing! - RondaGP, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0I can't wait to see this movie. It looks incredible.
I wish more were involved in getting this stopped! - Jamesine, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0I am excited to check this film out - not only is it full of amazingly talented artists, but it also exposes the horrific hidden economy of global slavery. AND all profits from the film go directly to organizations who are on the frontlines here and overseas fighting slavery. Very very cool.

I'm so excited for the movement thats going to follow the film - danzfool, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1It really makes this project and what they're saying so much more powerful that the film itself is non-profit. May that expand the reach of this movie and its ability to empower the existing organizations funded by ticket revenue!
- nKaribu, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1This is such an important documentary - Kudos to everyone who took the time to do it. What a great way to cover such an "undercover" epidemic.
