- RpgActioN, on 06/19/2008, -2/+3Wouldve been a lot better with RFAD's Ass 2 Ass scene gratuitously slapped onto the end of it (or playing throughout, whatever)
- DubBucket, on 06/20/2008, -0/+7Holy Epic, that was steeped in *****.
- megamod, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1I think I liked their title of the video "Requiem for a day off"...more clever/funny though not as epic sounding
- rgladstein, on 06/18/2008, -7/+302Speaking of which... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57TiLje54hc
We got a winner.- squishee, on 06/18/2008, -0/+40Zerg as the "ass to ass" pimp = childhood ruiner.
- OzzieAlThor, on 06/19/2008, -0/+10They could use Slinky for that scene too..
- 1337chic, on 06/19/2008, -2/+32Yeah, that took a lot more effort than the Bueller one.
- milo3600, on 06/20/2008, -1/+9Damn right. The Bueller one had no sense of narrative or tone. And was too long. Just randomly taking intense looking scenes and adding a foreboding soundtrack is very easy and requires no real talent or vision.
- anonatron, on 06/19/2008, -0/+6How many times a day do you think people make that old man say "Ass to Ass!" in that creepy way. I bet he gets it a lot (if he is still alive), I know I would ask him to say it!
- tocsy, on 06/19/2008, -0/+9Yes, I was just about to link this. ( http://www.alienpanic.com/toy.html if anyone's interested in the high quality vid)
- OJXs, on 06/19/2008, -0/+21This one is much better
- ChrisLondon, on 06/19/2008, -0/+4That's awesome!
- trainerdan, on 06/19/2008, -0/+2This one doesn't even touch the Toy Story and Shinning recuts.

- Waskonator, on 06/19/2008, -2/+40God that score gives me the jibblys.
In hind sight, i may have been too impressionable then i first watched that movie.
...and high.- 0ceanic, on 06/19/2008, -0/+12this is the song
by Clint Mansell - Lux Aeterna (Full Orchestral Remix)- dstruktNine, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1Paul Oakenfold did a mash up of that song as well.
- Premier, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1Thanks!
- WhatInThe42o, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1You know . . . still haven't seen this movie. And after that one line in the page this links to, about ' . . . well, you know,' I'm afraid to now.
- stealth45, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1Ass to ass?
- Avaseal, on 06/20/2008, -1/+0 god damn son, I was buggin' when I watched the end of Requiem high.. never got into Heroin though!
- x0rcist, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1Yeah really when I was blazed watchin that for the first time I was buggin my face off.
- 0ceanic, on 06/19/2008, -0/+12this is the song
- bashnu, on 06/19/2008, -28/+52That music can make anything profound.
The music is the Requiem for a Tower movements by the Corner Stone Cues- Ramble, on 06/19/2008, -2/+4I always thought it was Summer Overture.
- whoaohh, on 06/19/2008, -1/+36it's actually Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell
- 0ceanic, on 06/19/2008, -0/+5Clint Mansell - Lux Aeterna (Full Orchestral Remix)
- Synyk, on 06/19/2008, -1/+26As a matter of fact, the soundtrack for movie has 3 versions of the same song, they almost sound the same:
Winter Overture
Summer Overture
Lux Aeterna
I think the last one is the "official" name (Lux Aeterna)...and they're all by Kronos Quartet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Requiem_for_a_Tower
Requiem for a Tower is actually just an edit for the LOTR trailer (and the one used in this sequence) - bashnu, on 06/19/2008, -0/+10Search for Requiem for a Dream soundtrack and you will get all versions.
None the less
Darren Aronofsky made that tune eternal.
see his other movies here http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004716/ - luke374, on 06/19/2008, -0/+15If you ever go to film school, be prepared to hear that song in every single ***** short film you'll be forced to sit through.
- wireframework, on 06/19/2008, -0/+5Ok.
Yes, Clint Mansell did the original score for Requiem for a Dream, and that score does indeed have several different versions of this theme (one of my favorite pieces of music, by the way). However, even considering the epic final music track "Lux Aeterna," none of them are exactly like the music in this trailer. The music here (apparently looped a couple times?) is INDEED Corner Stone Cues, and this version - with full choir, a full live orchestra (The Sons of Sin Orchestra, no less), and a full percussion section - appears on the CSC collection album Requiem for a Tower. The music was originally used for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers movie trailer, but has since been used in SEVERAL other media applications, from Top Gear to many movie trailers including The DaVinci Code and Sunshine.

bashnu is totally, perfectly correct, and anyone who buries him is, well, just ignorant. - Gella321, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1Delirium does a pretty cool rendition of this track. It's called "Deluxed", and it's on the Requiem Remix album.

- JlmAWP, on 06/19/2008, -3/+31I've been getting really sick of these mash-ups lately, but my faith in creative satire has been restored. Fantastic job.
- nogami, on 06/19/2008, -0/+7Thought it was pretty good, but far too long. Only needed to be a minute or two. It was feeling pretty forced at about the 2min mark.
- ghee, on 06/19/2008, -2/+13Lux Aeterna makes everything look dramatic and serious. This was nicely put together.
- MadOgre, on 06/19/2008, -3/+101Sloan - Ass to ass!
- anonatron, on 06/19/2008, -1/+35Lux Aeterna is great, it is just too bad they slap it on every trailer now.

- SobyOne, on 06/19/2008, -14/+6Annoying and dumb. (sorry)
- TheMightyDane, on 06/19/2008, -10/+4Wow, just: Wow..
- hauntedchippy, on 06/19/2008, -18/+29Too long. Good idea, just don't milk it.
- SilentSpyder, on 06/19/2008, -1/+14I don't know why they digg you down. I agree, it's good but seems about 2 minutes too long for a trailer.
- HenvY, on 06/19/2008, -0/+7Yeah, was clearly edited to fit the song but it woulda been so much better if the creator had just used really choice clips.
- frazorblade, on 06/20/2008, -1/+1Dugg for "choice" bro!
- HenvY, on 06/19/2008, -0/+7Yeah, was clearly edited to fit the song but it woulda been so much better if the creator had just used really choice clips.
- SilentSpyder, on 06/19/2008, -1/+14I don't know why they digg you down. I agree, it's good but seems about 2 minutes too long for a trailer.
- DivineMonkey, on 06/19/2008, -13/+5That sucked balls.
- SobyOne, on 06/19/2008, -0/+2Monkey Balls?
- BetterOffEd, on 06/20/2008, -1/+1You're absolutely right. Yours is much better. Where's the link to it again?

- bryanricker, on 06/19/2008, -5/+10This made me want to watch both movies. I think I will.
- jbettineski, on 06/19/2008, -0/+9not back to back, though. your mind can't handle it.
- tyywebb, on 06/19/2008, -0/+5Don't you mean ass to ass?
- drexl, on 06/19/2008, -1/+1"not ass to ass, though. Your mind can't handle it."
Fixed that for you! :-)
- jbettineski, on 06/19/2008, -0/+9not back to back, though. your mind can't handle it.
- OzzieAlThor, on 06/19/2008, -9/+76Should have been like 1:30 instead of 4:29.
Still good... should have been a real trailer instead of the whole song.- Cglass, on 06/19/2008, -1/+5I dunno it was more like a little movie rather than a trailer, it wasn't horrible in length, just different I think. A+ from me
- hoyopipe, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1Agreed. Requiem for an Edit.
- Ryanx0r, on 06/19/2008, -4/+2Well, that was strangely very awesome :)
Gotta love that score though! - DivineMonkey, on 06/19/2008, -9/+2poo
- coreyb, on 06/19/2008, -2/+14Mirror - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Vy2aJY6rq8
- LowFuel, on 06/20/2008, -0/+4Not so much "mirror" as "original non-blogspam"
- bleutuna, on 06/19/2008, -4/+40Would have been better if it were shorter, but still thoroughly entertaining and effective. Good stuff.
- Synyk, on 06/19/2008, -8/+1mirror?
- sadie8686, on 06/19/2008, -6/+1Woh.
- henrikakselsen, on 06/19/2008, -12/+6Most overused music in the history of music.
- chrissku, on 06/19/2008, -5/+66My best friends sisters boyfriend has a friend who has a cousin that thinks she saw Ferris pass out in 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
- loobis, on 06/19/2008, -1/+23Thank you, Simone.
- Wonderama, on 06/19/2008, -2/+35In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the... Anyone? Anyone?... the Great Depression, passed the... Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered?... raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal government. Did it work? Anyone? Anyone know the effects? It did not work, and the United States sank deeper into the Great Depression. Today we have a similar debate over this. Anyone know what this is? Class? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone seen this before? The Laffer Curve. Anyone know what this says? It says that at this point on the revenue curve, you will get exactly the same amount of revenue as at this point. This is very controversial. Does anyone know what Vice President Bush called this in 1980? Anyone? Something-d-o-o economics. "Voodoo" economics.
- antiorblkflag9, on 06/20/2008, -1/+1Well he turned out to be kind of an idiot.
- hokie47, on 06/19/2008, -1/+12It's a shame that Ben Stein is an intelligent design idiot, but he played the teacher part perfectly.
- k3vin187, on 06/20/2008, -4/+2What do his beliefs have to do with his acting? Don't crap on someones beliefs because you don't agree. You are a close minded idiot.
- mikebb79, on 06/19/2008, -5/+1that was amazing
- Maryus, on 06/19/2008, -4/+72To everyone saying this is Requiem for a Tower, you are wrong. This song called Lux Aeterna is from the the movie Requiem for a Dream. It was composed by Clint Mansell and performed by the Kronos Quartet. Requiem for a Tower was a different version of Lux Aeterna used for the Lord of the Rings movies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Requiem_for_a_Dream_( ...
- stonedthot, on 06/19/2008, -7/+1Um good pre-empting there I guess but I don't think anyone was saying that...
- wireframework, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1Lux Aeterna doesn't have a choir in it, in the original movie soundtrack.
The is Corner Stone Cues version. Google it and I think it'll be what you're talking about. - RickIV, on 06/20/2008, -2/+4Wow. We got some serious nerds in this joint.
- rinocom, on 06/19/2008, -3/+2Brilliant.
- bwmdiym, on 06/19/2008, -8/+3That music kept reminding me of the Boston Celtics Intro
- skeletorcares, on 06/19/2008, -1/+2I hope thats your last forced basketball commment
- DrummerAndrew, on 06/19/2008, -1/+1We're done with the Boston teams, okay? Thanks.
- iamgreg007, on 06/19/2008, -2/+6God damn that gave me goosebumps. Totally went into it thinking it was going to suck, now I want to send it to everyone I know. Outstanding!
- JaySansone, on 06/19/2008, -6/+12Needs to have about 70% cut out. way too long.
- ElectricKetchup, on 06/19/2008, -2/+61Here's one that's the opposite: Shining as an upbeat family movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf7h6o3I8yw
- Lousansano, on 06/20/2008, -1/+2Ive seen this before, shows you how much trailers are worth when judging a movie
- antiorblkflag9, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1I agree, not really judging but interpreting. So I guess I disagree.
- Lousansano, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1True, I knew judging wasn't the best word to use there...
- antiorblkflag9, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1I agree, not really judging but interpreting. So I guess I disagree.
- Lousansano, on 06/20/2008, -1/+2Ive seen this before, shows you how much trailers are worth when judging a movie
- leamanc, on 06/19/2008, -3/+1Don't shoot that in there!
- burnedtubes, on 06/19/2008, -2/+14Epic!
It always amazes me how big of a role editing and score play in a film's feel. - JoeRitze, on 06/19/2008, -2/+2Love it
- HumanRecall, on 06/19/2008, -1/+2man it's like Watch it again for the first time :)
- Ramenamen, on 06/19/2008, -10/+4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR-pwy6wsQQ
A lot like that, with Toy Story 2 instead. - t1ckt0ck, on 06/19/2008, -2/+0Needs more march of the swivelheads.
- malex, on 06/19/2008, -2/+5This would have been a lot more effective if cut down to 60 or 90 seconds. Other than that, brilliant.
- neocr0n, on 06/19/2008, -7/+14That wasn't a mash up that was a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off trailer with the song Lux Aeterna over the top. How is that a mash up? The Toy Story 2 one was far superior.
- emalen, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1Not true. That was not the Ferris trailer; it was carefully selected and edited together scenes to go along with the feel of the music. Watch it again, the moments make perfect sense and really make the movie seem completely different.
- Link465, on 06/19/2008, -2/+1I'm not sure how that could have been better. That song makes anything good, anyway.
- mordea, on 06/19/2008, -2/+4Hey, it's the pedophile principal.
- acjetter, on 06/19/2008, -0/+2edddddddddddd rooney is a dirtball.
- jonmlm, on 06/19/2008, -1/+1way too long. the end's good though.
- Ibox, on 06/19/2008, -2/+2never realized there was that much drama in Ferris Bulers day off...
- mlvassallo, on 06/19/2008, -5/+8So really it is just Ferris Bueller with the music from Requiem. Other than that, it has nothing really to do with Requiem for a Dream, it could have been any suspenseful music.
- acjetter, on 06/19/2008, -3/+0that gets an "ultra badass" rating from me. way too cool.
- nedy78, on 06/19/2008, -2/+3Dugg for being creative.
- bakatrinh, on 06/19/2008, -9/+10This trailer sucks. Has nothing to do with Requiem for a Dream besides the overused song.
- beastee, on 06/19/2008, -3/+3Wrong my friend. You do realize Ferris is a comedy. This was presented as a sad drama. Wow you say...Requiem was a sad drama. What a coincidence. The song is overused though, and the trailer should be 2 minutes shorter.
- socketman, on 06/19/2008, -6/+2Not bad !
I love mashups- socketman, on 06/19/2008, -1/+2Why the hell am I being dugg down for liking mashups!?
