Official Movie Guide:Summer of 2008
firstshowing.net — As of this moment, this upcoming summer (kicking off on May 2nd with Iron Man) looks quite promising. There aren't as many sequels as 2007, which is good (and also bad), but there are quite a few movies that look absolutely incredible - The Dark Knight, Indiana Jones 4, and Wall-E, to name a few.

- soundtrackgeek, on 01/11/2008, -5/+12Awesome list! 2008 will be an amazing year for movies.
- shadekeiko, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1I concur.
But they forgot X-Files 2!- zennie62, on 01/11/2008, -3/+2He's right. Say, here's a movie in real life unfolding:
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Dennis_Kucinich_ ... - bluezinc, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1My cinematography teacher is in Mexico filming that movie right now! I have a meeting with him in a couple weeks and I'm totally gonna try to get him to tell me the spoilers.
- zennie62, on 01/11/2008, -3/+2He's right. Say, here's a movie in real life unfolding:
- L4WL3RS34L, on 01/11/2008, -1/+4Enjoy it while it lasts, 2009 will be one of the worst years for movies because of the writer's strike.
- bluezinc, on 01/11/2008, -0/+4Umm, not really. Unless the strike lasts an entire year I don't think we're going to have a year-long gap of movies.
- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1Writing and Pre production 6 months, Filming 3 months, editing and post production 9 months. then 2 months till release date.
Writers strike is going to last at least 4 more months. If they can hold out until june, then they(both writers and studios) have no incentive of resolving the strike until Fall, since the traditional season is over by then.- bluezinc, on 01/13/2008, -0/+1You seem to forget Hollywood's flexibility in these matters.

- bluezinc, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2I was talking to the set medic for Indy 4 and he said that the stunts in that movie are the most ridiculous he's ever seen. He was sure someone was going to get killed during production.
- antdude, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1I hope it doesn't suck! Please don't ruin it!!!
- SuperWinner, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1ANY cgi and I will walk out.

- Narwaffle, on 01/11/2008, -1/+5Be Kind Rewind?
- littlewing82, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1that comes out in Feb.
this is a list of summer movies....
- littlewing82, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1that comes out in Feb.
- Syric, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1The trailers wouldn't load, and I wanted to watch the trailers for Speed Racer and Wanted. I've heard mainly negative buzz about them (especially the latter), and these are two films I want to be good. I'm worried about Wanted: I know that the bitching of comic book geeks isn't exactly gospel, but we might be looking at another League of Extraordinary Gentlemen here, from the sound of it.
- phazon88, on 01/11/2008, -0/+6This is the third 2008 movies list on Digg and all 3 of them have Sex and the City on them. WTF?
- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1This is the exact copy of another article really. Thats what critics and movie sites do, plagiarize other people.
- TecK415, on 01/11/2008, -4/+1Speed Racer is going to kick ass. http://www.digg.com/movies/Speed_Racer_Trailer_9
- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2are you kidding me. I like the guy from the GND, but seriously. It looks horrible.
- WallnutBoy, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1I thought Narnia exploded into a million pieces in '05?
- samfishercell, on 01/11/2008, -1/+7OK - WHO is paying WHO to keep getting Sex and the City on these lists!?
Also - I might as well look into whether or not I can just rent a theater seat for May.- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1This is the exact copy of another article really. Thats what critics and movie sites do, plagiarize other people.
- diskit, on 01/11/2008, -2/+1The WALL-E trailer "comes courtesy of the good folks at IGN, so thank them for bringing this."
***** fail
http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/walle/large2. ...- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -2/+1The people who put the article together are obviously not very brite. They call Wall-E incredible. WTF? That shows their intelligence level.
- llamagorama, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1Wall-E does look incredible. What the hell are your standards?
- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -2/+1The people who put the article together are obviously not very brite. They call Wall-E incredible. WTF? That shows their intelligence level.
- Brutalbrujah, on 01/11/2008, -0/+0The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Incredible Hulk, Speed Racer & Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The only ones worth something from that list imho.
- Hewolf1982, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1So half the movies on the list then
- jmpeagle, on 01/11/2008, -1/+2dark knight, this trailer (not in the link above) seems to have an extra scene in it with harvey dent the DA I believe...it has him campaigning
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vaDxdLvygM- techlinks, on 01/13/2008, -0/+1You know, as soon as I clicked on the link, I realized you had negative diggs. The first thing to pop into my mind was Rick Roller.
Good one sir.

- Prodigal, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1What a bunch of garbage, save Nolan's Dark Knight.
- RetardoCrisp, on 01/11/2008, -2/+2Pineapple Express...can't wait.
- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1DUPE!!
Anway PE, DK, HC look good. Don't know about the others really. Some might be good.
And can we take this seriously, "a few movies that look absolutely incredible - The Dark Knight, Indiana Jones 4, and Wall-E" Wall-E? are you serious, how is this movie incredible. No dialog, basically silent throught the movie, whats incredible is that it got made to begin with.- sevenalive, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1Well the more times i watch the teaser, it looks ok. It looks like a fun cute (can't believe i said that) film.
- stuffradio, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1I can't wait for Get Smart and Chronicles of Narnia!
- mesarah, on 01/11/2008, -0/+0Good list
- bumpkins, on 01/11/2008, -0/+0Why is no one commenting on Iron Man? It could very well be THE best comic-to-movie adaptation to date. TDK looks great, but Iron Man is going to kick ass!
- ats314, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1damn, Iron Man looks sweet.
- Born4Surf, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1Chronicles of Naria I hope will be better than the first offering! 2008 will be an interesting year for movie downloads as well. Visit this blog to keep up to date with this industry: http://www.mymoviedownload.net
- wastedbrains, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1A better list of the top 100 most anticipated movies of 2008
http://seekler.com/lists/Anticipated+Movies+of+200 ... - shlebede, on 01/11/2008, -1/+0We love the Chronic -WHAT?- Cles of Narnia!
- binorgog, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Emile Hirsch makes me swoon.
- bdette, on 01/12/2008, -0/+0WHY SO SERIOUS???
- RAT-Man, on 01/13/2008, -0/+1Hancock has caught my eye.
- SharkyTech, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1Get Smart was pure win. I'm not sure, however, that a remake of an old comedy series will work. Make the Get Smart series available as a box set if you want to cash in, otherwise get some new IPs.
