Pirates of the Caribbean 3 concept art found that gives huge plot spoilers!

filmwad.com — I don't know where these concept art images were found, but they make it clear that the rumored "At World's End" scenes in the 'leaked' Pirates 3 script are indeed real. There's a few more friggin awesome scenes the leaked plot didn't mention too. One of them looks like an actual pic.Terry Elliot & Ted Rossio, you guys rock at telling movie stories

I saw it on the big screen a few days after it came out, and it was amazing to watch in a theatre. It's just one of those flicks where you have too see it in the movie theatre. However, many of the scenes dragged on far too long. The plot sucked, too, or what was left of it.

The two film examples you gave were very debatable. If you want a list of very inferior third films I could go all day: Matrix 3, Terminator 3, Godfather 3, The Eye 3, Planet of the Apes 3, The Omen 3, Karate Kid 3, Scream 3, Blade 3, Friday after next (Friday 3), Austin Powers 3, The Exorcist 3, Hellraiser 3...

      I bet you didn't realise some of those films even had 3 parts, thats how bad the sequels were...

      So to conclude, given that Pirates of the Carribean 2 was such a contrived, vacuous film, I have no idea why you guys are getting so excited about the next one.

      No, it goes off in a totally different direction and tells a stand alone story. But Johny Depp's acting makes it worth it. Unless it's Knightley's boobs - I forget which.

      Either way, total winner.Trust me.

A friend of mine told me that they were filming or were going to film (I can't remeber which it was) scenes for Pirates in Niagara Falls. Maybe Niagara Falls represents the end of the world.

The second movie really struck me as a rip off of the empire strikes back, from the boy finding his father working for the dark force.... to the rebellious anti-hero/partner-to-the-protagonist having feelings for what the girl that the main guy was supposed to get. To the same anti-hero getting captured and everyone setting out to go find him, and how there was really no ending or resolution and the bad guys kind of won.

    Star Wars. In the Ocean. Cmon.

  • redballooon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Who were the geniuses behind this one? For the most part, I think that branding and packaging is a huge asset to the film industry...any industry for that matter. For instance, most flicks in the Criterion Collection have me grabbing at the shelves and Wes Anderson's films always have incredible packaging. Take THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS, for example - so good.
