It'll be some loser spiky haired young modern actor playing Robocop, and they'll probably have some girl who falls in love with him. Then they'll have a really dumb story and crappy acting since they'll spend all their money making 90% of the movie CGI effects. And ED-209 won't be half as scary in CGI.

    Unless they totally break with what every movie maker has been doing for the past 20 years and stick with the original 80's style of story telling, or they get the original directors/writers, this remake will be a disappointment for any fan of the original movies.

    I have yet to see a modern remake/new take on an old movie/series that hasn't been horrible, especially when introducing new directors, producers, actors, and writers. They'll all arrogantly want their own ideas and takes on the series realized destroying what made the originals great.

Nor did they have a caliber of actor like Christian Bale playing Bats. Those two points are the main reasons the newest Batman flick met so much success after the last few in the series utterly failed.

        Batman Begins was something utterly different and apart from any previous Batman film. Only Batman Returns comes close.

        • thirteenthcor, on 06/12/2008, -1/+1Actually the decision to make Live Free or Die Hard PG-13 was at producer/hollywood level. The entire movie had been filmed with massive amounts of blood, more viaolence, and harsh language (yippie-ai-a-*****) but after the entire movie was completed, it got sanitized, to pull in more money a the b/o. I believe the unrated directors cut is the way it was meant to be (though I haven't seen it). Hopefully in the original editing all the scenes with the "mac guy" spilling ridiculous, gratuitous, computer jargon for all the dumbass hicks and soccer moms won't be there.
