    • badwithcomputer, on 02/06/2008, -2/+12I thought Dewey Cox was excellent also, just poorly marketed to a large audience that can't understand the distinction between a comprehensive parody of the genre (I mean it was obvious just how much this guy liked and understood rock biopics) and some sort of lame clip show like Meet the Spartans. Judd's the man and I hope he keeps making movies for a long, long time.

I recently watched all of Freaks and Geeks for the first time because I enjoyed everything I saw from the Apatow camp. Undeclared is pretty funny too. Superbad was like Freaks and Geeks but uncensored. It's all good.

He was also the a producer on The Cable Guy, IMHO a highly underrated film, and he worked on the Ben Stiller show. This guy has been involved in tons of great projects.

There's such an incredibly fine line for making a retarded, hockey, campy piece of crap, and the Masterpiece of pacing and timing that was Walk Hard, that you really have to appreciate Apatow's craft, as well as the excelent master performances of all the longstanding professional comedians that worked in it

A lot of people out of Second City who knew each other for years gave us the original SNL: Reitman and Ramis, and Murray, Belushi, these guys are all legends. This group right here, they're our generation's lords of comedy, enjoy them while they're here.

He's helped Jason Seagel's career along since they met on Freaks and Geeks, he urged him to write the script for this film, and he was present on set in Hawaii for almost all of the filming, even adding lines to the script on the fly here and there. In most cases I'd agree with you that producers get more credit then they deserve, but after working on Forgetting Sara Marshall and other Apatow projects I can tell you that Judd's an exception.

    I enjoyed Superbad, but only enjoyed it, and that was because my expectations were suitably lowered by Knocked Up.
