Yes Man Teaser Trailer
traileraddict.com — Jim Carrey stars as Carl Allen, a man who signs up for a self-help program based on one simple principle: say yes to everything...and anything. At first, unleashing the power of “yes” transforms Carl’s life in amazing and unexpected ways, but he soon discovers that opening up his life to endless possibilities can have its drawbacks.

- amanilaenvelope, on 07/23/2008, -2/+5Oh, so you will give me all of your valuables and money and basically all your possessions, cool! I'll go wait in the car while you go get the stuff.
- hmd1987, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5"YES!"
- imtheone989, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4Well now that you've given away all of your belongings, wanna start a Fight Club?
- yahoofrom, on 07/23/2008, -3/+1"WE CAN!"
- amanilaenvelope, on 07/23/2008, -2/+5Oh, so you will give me all of your valuables and money and basically all your possessions, cool! I'll go wait in the car while you go get the stuff.
- hollywoodphony, on 07/23/2008, -1/+94This looks pretty funny, but am I crazy or does this seem fairly similar to the premise of "Liar, Liar"?
- mantzdapantz, on 07/23/2008, -4/+0you do what works.
- bluezinc, on 07/23/2008, -4/+4I was just about to say that this seems remarkably similar to Liar, Liar.
It's like the Love Guru, it's an obvious recycling of jokes, hoping the movie goer is too stupid to catch on. - ChibiJosh, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10The movie's surprisingly based on a book (and true story) by Danny Wallace.
- roodammy44, on 07/23/2008, -1/+4I'm guessing the book will be better.
Everyone should read that book, it's inspiring
- roodammy44, on 07/23/2008, -1/+4I'm guessing the book will be better.
- innocentsinner, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Yes.
- whiteknives, on 07/23/2008, -0/+66Two words, Zooey Deschanel.
- amanilaenvelope, on 07/23/2008, -2/+12indie hot.
- anagoge, on 07/23/2008, -2/+15God I so would.
- bluezinc, on 07/23/2008, -1/+9I thought she kind of ruined Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Not her fault, mind you, but the fact that they tried to write some sappy love story for her and Arthur Dent. Stupid idea.- carpeclunes, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5That movie ruined itself.
- bluezinc, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4I thought it was pretty good, mostly because I'm a huge Hitchhiker's Guide fan. It's just that they tried to arbitrarily force a love story where there wasn't one before, which is stupid Hollywood logic.
Who is your main audience: people who love the books plus whoever they drag along.
I know, let's piss off our main audience by blatantly disrespecting the source material by telling the fans, "yes, but OUR version is much better this way".
Minus the love story, I thought it was good. - crstern, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4Her, Maggie Gylenhal are myself on a deserted island (or my bedroom) have been the basis of many many very good dreams.
- o0joshua0o, on 07/23/2008, -1/+1It was good aside from all the changes from the books: Zaphod having one head beneath the other one, instead of beside it; Zaphod being zany instead of hoopy; Marvin looking like he's from a Japanese anime film, the whole love-interest subplot, most of the jokes being removed, and Ford being an American rapper.
- bluezinc, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1I thought Mos Def as Ford was an awesome move. Mos Def is actually the only good rapper turned actor in my opinion.
I also didn't mind that Zaphod had another head below his first head and not beside it. I thought it was just a minor change.
I believe they didn't much describe what Marvin looked like in the books, so it was pretty much left up to the reader to imagine him. At any rate, I thought Marvin looked like Marvin, not some anime'd out version of Marvin.
- UGM2099, on 07/23/2008, -3/+2Ultra hot but bad actress.
- Darksider, on 07/23/2008, -2/+20I preferred him alot more when he was talking out of his ass
- guydudeman, on 07/23/2008, -0/+53Liar Liar 2: The Yes Man!
- kingdomdude, on 07/23/2008, -0/+44Red Bull: Jim Carrey in a can.
- cmagwriter, on 07/23/2008, -1/+15Jim Carrey doing what he does best. A more slap stick version of Liar Liar - what's not to like?
- micro506, on 07/23/2008, -0/+11I was hoping for another movie from these guys:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_yes_men - mizatt, on 07/23/2008, -11/+6On one hand it's good to see Jim Carrey doing comedies again. On the other hand this one looks like it sucks
- Pusod, on 07/23/2008, -2/+4The part when he got startled cracked me up!
- SuperIntendo, on 07/23/2008, -1/+23Dugg for... maybe Jim Carrey IS still funny...
- soupdawg30, on 07/23/2008, -3/+4Looks like Jim Carrey is back.
- Vikaas, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6This is the kind of role where Jim Carrey can really work.
- mareksoon, on 07/23/2008, -1/+32Zooey Deschanel: Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES, ooooh, YES!!!!
- fiskintl, on 07/23/2008, -2/+2Shia Labough: nonono nono nononon nonononNONONONONONONO! my car!
- newstart, on 07/23/2008, -5/+2Too bad I gotta wait till December. Movie looks awesome! And the mantra behind is pretty cool too. Hell ya, I say YES to Sex, Digg & Rock & Roll.
- Nath4n, on 07/23/2008, -0/+33To anyone who doesn't know this is based upon a surprisingly good book written by Brit Danny Wallace who's done lots of other entertaining things like accidently founding a cult based around himself as well as starting his own country:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Wallace_%28humo ...- loopyloopy, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6very good book, i couldnt put it down.
the movie will suck for certain. look at the director.- edwardmluk, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3Yeh the book was awesome! I'm also a part of his country..."Lovely". This film is going to seriously suck, but hopefully it'll get Danny and his writings a bit more exposure.
- jotty, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1one of my favourite books, too bad the film wont be as good
- ortucis, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Great. Let's find the PDF version. Say Yes to piracy folks.
- loopyloopy, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6very good book, i couldnt put it down.
- clutcher, on 07/23/2008, -1/+13That interrupting bit ("Maybe we can..RED BULL!") seems like something Steve Carrell would do.
Still, i'll watch it.
One of these days Jim Carey will wise up and do Ace Ventura 3- Drunkenfool, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3It is being made already, and without him. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0844029/
- polalion, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4Do you think it'll suck more or as much as Son of the Mask?
- Philbert, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Am I the only one who thinks Josh Flitter isn't funny?
- o0joshua0o, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4Someone needs to inform these Hollywood studio execs that you can't make a Jim Carey movie without Jim Carey.
- Drunkenfool, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3It is being made already, and without him. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0844029/
- TaintBrush, on 07/23/2008, -4/+27I'd like to Zooey HER Deschanel.
But I never will because I say things like that. - gcnaddict, on 07/23/2008, -2/+2"I don't think that's what she was asking for"
Oops. - imhalfpirate, on 07/23/2008, -6/+2No thanks. How about Fire Marshall Bill: The Movie.
I miss In Living Color and old SNLs. Were stuck with MadTV. - CrazyEddie041, on 07/23/2008, -6/+1Hmmmm... the premise is interesting, but Jim Carrey is obnoxious. Should I still see the movie?
- MalachiConstant, on 07/23/2008, -8/+2The movie never quite lives up to the book, and since it was already released in the early 80s, I'm going to ignore this Jim Carrey outing.
If you can find it (out of print), I highly recommend reading:
***** YES! by Wing F. Fing

Guaranteed to be funnier, smarter and more original than this movie looks to be. - 4d669, on 07/23/2008, -8/+1He's about to get his ass kicked after he asks about the gum.
Can a weaboo from Korea translate the end for us?- gcnaddict, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2"weaboo from Korea"
You contradicted yourself many times there.- 4d669, on 07/23/2008, -2/+1They're all from Asia, stop with the faggotry.
- gcnaddict, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2"weaboo from Korea"
- TaintBrush, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Is this like The Bucket List for people ten years younger?
- brett1337, on 07/23/2008, -2/+9anal sex?
//hilarity ensues- gcnaddict, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12I'd be surprised if that didn't come up at least once.
Then again, this isn't a Will Farrell movie, so there's a good chance it won't happen.
- gcnaddict, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12I'd be surprised if that didn't come up at least once.
- mchisari, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5
No. - lance4, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2Feels familiar. Kind of like Ryan Reynold's Chaos Theory. But at least this one has Zooey.
- btschul, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Meh....This one could go either way.
- Cloud7654, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Like a bisexual..
- fant0m, on 07/23/2008, -5/+1honestly, i did laugh out loud at the korean part...
that may have been the bacardi -
but im pretty sure jim carrey is back at doing what hes best at
^^ that was awkward to type, and i hit the dollar sign first. - CorneliusStump, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9Zooey Deschanel is purdy
- MrTito, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2I guess I could see that. It does seem recycled that Liar Liar way. A little Bruce Almighty, too.
- jellydoughnut21, on 07/23/2008, -2/+1Has promise, but after the last few Carrey outings, I've been left skeptical of anything from him.
- kuckle, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2Wow, you can really tell in his face how much he's aged...
- lebrad, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1NO. I say NO.
- loopyloopy, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2my bet is it wont be as good as the book. it should've been a Brit movie.
and i'm guessing this is only an adaptation of the idea. makes me kind of angry and i'm not even a Brit. - neekolas, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Looks SUPER promising. Not as promising as Tropic Thunder, but still holds its own in a fight.
- ace144, on 07/23/2008, -0/+13dugg for Rhys Darby. He kicks ass in Flight of the Conchords.
- Harbinger67, on 07/23/2008, -3/+2Hah, I was about to post that but your comment was right above the comment-typing box :p
- Failchan, on 07/23/2008, -3/+1Good for you.
- Harbinger67, on 07/23/2008, -3/+2Hah, I was about to post that but your comment was right above the comment-typing box :p
- JonnyIsElectric, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4i just started reading the book yesterday
DANNY WALLACE IS A LEDGE (not literally) - dansai, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2I could have sworn Louis Theroux (a british, erm, documentary-maker) had something to do with this? I remember him speaking of the exact same plot outline for something he was working a few years ago... Any ideas?
- vmos, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3you're thinking of danny wallace, a british documentary maker who wrote the book that this is based on
- vmos, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6to hell with jim carrey, go read the book. It's a (nearly) true story and it's really ***** funny, this movie is
A) typical holywood smatlz
B) a retread of liar liar - MetalGear7, on 07/23/2008, -7/+1Name the last movie Jim Carey made that was a success diggers?, Why digg this up Jim Carey is so 90's....
- Philbert, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7Eternal Sunshine
- MetalGear7, on 07/23/2008, -7/+3Did anyone understand the chink part at the end?
- takeo1775, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1idiot
- jrm71588, on 07/23/2008, -3/+1wait so let me get this straight...Jim carey plays a guy who does one thing all the time (say no) and suddenly his life is flipped upside down when he can't stop doing the opposite (say yes) ?! That sounds both hilarious AND zany!! It's a good thing he's never been in a movie with the EXACT same premise!! What's that? oh...he has? Nevermind.
- zephyrnug, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2ha ha ha, oh my god! that look's so terrible!
- billmill, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9Just when I thought Jim Carey couln't get any dumber, the he goes and does something like this.... and completely redeems himself.
- neonoodle, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4How is that a "teaser" trailer? That's pretty much the whole movie. I guess the real trailer is an hour and a half long and you have to pay 10 bucks for tickets
- Loxahatchee, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1No!
- polalion, on 07/23/2008, -1/+1Thank you Jim.
No more The Number 23s for me, thank you. Comedy is where you should be, and should stay. Eternal Sunshine was good, but your comedies are gold. - stonedgeek, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1I came here to digg every comment saying this is liar, liar.
However, I laughed twice during the trailer and I love Rhys Darby so this gets a digg. - skooter, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Band meeting!
