  • donnikhan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I call shenangians on the Kaoss guitar, the lead singer of Muse Matthew Bellamy uses one (their last album, black holes and revelations is awesome btw), if you want to spend the dough, you can get it custom made from any number of guitar manufacturers. Matt was using one on the last tour.

      He stole that from Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead. He's been using one for ages now. Listen to the the live version of Everything In its Right Place or he also used one on an earlier song, Climbing Up The Walls.

      The Kaoss pad is ok, but it's not always that useful... the Roland GR 20 does most of that with a pedal and more (since it tracks better via it's own pickup).

      All those other guitars would sound like junk, but some people don't mind "thin" sounding, so it is subjective. Give me mahogany or give me death!

  • EricSchC1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The Kaoss Pad guitar is probably the most functional and aside from the previous artists listed, I think Beck's guitarist used something similar too...The NES guitar just looks cool for that "retro-throwback-to-childhood"-type sentiment.
