- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2...and the fact that the sound of hip-hop has barely changed in 10 years. Compared with the 10 years before that and the 10 before that hip-hop has become stagnant. It's a bankable genre now so a change in the status quo threatens those who are in charge.

Commercialization. - Innova69, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1We could only be so lucky to see the end of talent-less band-wagon jumping 'artists' [hacks] coming any time soon. As a musician myself, composing music along with lyrics into an original format is the ultimate challenge. I have not heard anything original from the hip-hop community for quite sometime.
Albeit, it is soooo much easier to just 'slightly' modify the sound of the new 'hit' and run with it, this unfortunately happens to be the norm of the hip-hop scene. Call it what you will, but I think that its demise is long overdue. - chonuts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Innova69
