- sphilips, on 10/12/2007, -10/+7Direct Link: http://www.iconcertcal.com
- RyeBrye, on 10/12/2007, -11/+24Sweet! It told me when Pink Floyd is coming to my town!!!
/sarcasm.
Why is this the best itunes plugin ever? - GonadHunter, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Probably cause its one of the only direct plugins
- SleepJunkie, on 10/12/2007, -14/+8Unless you live in a fairly large city, this is useless. I'd rather see something that said show me all shows within x miles.
- elsabordelamor, on 10/12/2007, -8/+11sleepjunky - dude it does show you all the shows within X miles - open your eyes
- Genthree, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Sorry to hijack the thread, but just a warning. This crashed my iTunes on my MBP.
- Foma, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Word of advice: this did not display properly on my iBook at first. I had to go to Preferences -> Advanced -> General and set the Visualizer size to 'large.'
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3"Why is this the best itunes plugin ever?"
Not sure about the "best plugin ever", but it's a nice idea- People who listen to music have a fairly good chance of liking attending live music, this makes it more convenient to know when bands you listen to are playing near you - IMustBeEmo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wait... people use iTunes?!?!??!?!
- Bruecknerd, on 10/12/2007, -10/+6Awesome. I would have missed a couple of my favorite bands already if it weren't for this.
- yodaf1, on 10/12/2007, -6/+15Nice! I'm always finding out about shows I want to see after they happen. Hopefully this can fix that!
- sphilips, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4Yeah, I have been using this since beta and I now catch so many more shows than I used to.
- gashorses, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4Yeah... I can't believe someone hasn't done this before... seems like a no brainer! Very cool.
- jetpeach, on 10/12/2007, -12/+6hmm, pretty cool plugin but i'll stick with my amarok on my kubuntu setup
- kanon909, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Very clever. Much easier than browsing through concert websites.
- jeytinge, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4Very useful app.
- rajv, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3This plugin is really awesome!!!
- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -14/+4Love it. Five Stars!
- cutiepi314, on 10/12/2007, -15/+4Nice work, Jeff and Brandon! I often use Three Imaginary Girls, but I would always forget about concerts because I never bothered to jot them down anywhere, and I cannot sync them with my Google calendar. With this in iTunes (which I use just about everyday), it's so much easier!
- elsabordelamor, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1this is so effing hott! are you guys single?!
- swevrywhere, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2I've already bought tickets to two shows because of this plugin. It's awesome!
- settingson, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1This is soo useful! If I had a dime for every time I missed a band I wanted to see................
- florabellee, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6iConcertCal ruined the surprise concert tix idea I had for my bf's birthday.
but it's still a cool app. - apiantad, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2Neat! I literally just installed this and found out about a concert that I want to go to in 2 days!!
- jeffcole, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Here is a direct link: http://www.iconcertcal.com
- eriktheburrito, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1This is sweet! I just found out when Eddie Money is coming to town!
- stvspl, on 10/12/2007, -11/+7Wow - just installed it. Automatically detects where you are, and all the artists in your library, then compiles them onto a neat calendar.
Definitely Recommended.- stvspl, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4hey. my comment was genuine.
- devanjw, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3This thing rocks my universe... I've already found 3 concerts I wanna go to in the next month!
- helfon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+31The comments in this story are a very good indication that digg can be gamed. They all sound like the fake comments that companies put on amazon etc... Watch them digg this comment down with their multiple accounts.
- elsabordelamor, on 10/12/2007, -15/+5you make a valid point, but consider the following:
A. iconcertcal IS dope
B. there were 40,00 users before anything was ever posted on digg
C. you're a hater
brandon and jeff are my buddies and they made a great plugin that can very easily impress a new user within seconds of installation. oh yeah, nobody's making a dime off this software right now either. - benjaminrayburn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Member Since February 23, 2007:

Wow! That IS totally dope that you know brandon and jeff. It would also be dope if they're gonna game digg they take the time to do it right. Don't want to be a hater but it works better if all your fake accounts don't start on the same day.
- elsabordelamor, on 10/12/2007, -15/+5you make a valid point, but consider the following:
- Caliking, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1awesome calendar. time to get rid of that lame ass widget that is more hastle than anything else!
- InternetUser, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13what the ... ?
all the comments in this story sound soooo fake. why? it's a free plugin...
p.s. it doesn't work for me. No shows in LONDON with over a 1000 artists in my library? Riiiiight.- Nev9, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1It's working for me and I'm in Oxford
- svision, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Works for me.
City: London
State: UK - myrm, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Doesn't work very well for the UK from what I can tell.
I find about 4 shows that I already know about (all in the same week) and others that I actually already have tickets for don't show up.
All this technology and the best way to find out is still to go to the record shop and just look at their listing board. - Midnightbrewer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Doesn't work very well in Japan, either. Or Germany. I have a decent amount of popular music from both countries, and I can't get anything to show up, although I can find it elsewhere on the web easily. Heck, it didn't even work for several US cities, either. It seems very biased towards a few large US cities, and that's about it. Nice idea, but lacks the data to make it useful.
- davidgoodchild, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I'm in Birmingham, but I can't tell you if it works or not, cos after all the fake comments, I have NO intention of installing it...
Lame.
- electronicmaji, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6can't get it to work....
- rockstar1o9, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1http://track50.com/
Sometimes you don't want to know when EVERY band in your 50GB+ library is coming to town which is why I use and recommend Track50. It does pretty much the same thing as iconcertcal except I pick the bands I want to follow and I get emails to let me know when new shows are scheduled.- svision, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Add an iTunes playlist called 'iConcertCal', and it will only search those bands
- optimuscrime, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Dugg for having Mates of State in the screen cap.
- CongoJoe, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1 mistake post
- Sam334, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2OnTour is a great Dashboard widget with the same concept. Haven't tried the one mentioned on this post, but try out OnTour if you like.
http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/music/ontour.html- CongoJoe, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1"OnTour is a great Dashboard widget with the same concept. Haven't tried the one mentioned on this post, but try out OnTour if you like."
That's a slick widget but compared to iConcertCal it sucks.
I just installed both. iConcertCal listed dozens of artists on tour (that were in my iTunes library), the widget listed only 2. Not very useful.

- matyrice, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5You douchbags saying "five stars! this is awesome"...quit wasting my time. No it's not the BEST ever, c'mon...
- broomett, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24GREAT EBAYER! A+++++ transaction! Would do business with again!!!!
- strabes, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Those are obviously fake accounts
- RafiParrr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2300 artists in my library and only one of them coming for however far ahead this plugin can see? Houston sucks.
- genghisjuan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Yawn, this plugin is not that great.I swear all the comments seem like somebody paid you to say that. Ticketmaster has had similar functionality for years.
- multitudinous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes, ticketmaster has this functionality, but you have to go in to the site and manually input each artist that you want to track...I have 110 gigs of music, that's thousands of artists. I don't want to have to do that, so this plug-in kind of rocks, given my situation.

- dosterm, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4This same spammed post was on here a while back, IIRC. I actually considered using it until they spammed this thread.
Bury this *****.- dosterm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Not sure if the poster meant it to be spam, so no offense if you're just pointing out a plugin you liked, but these comments sure are fake.
- bking, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1This is pretty damn cool. I'm in Miami, and there's no way for me to keep track of all the shows that I like. Thanks to this plugin, I already have my TV on the Radio tickets for April.
- cphuntington97, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I was sure it would be milkdrop/project M for iTunes.
- broomett, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12REMARKABLE! Every one of those above commetns were by people who signed up for Digg TODAY!
- strabes, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6WHAT A COINCIDENCE!?!?!?!?! They're so CONVINCING that I would download this plugin RIGHT NOW if I had itunes on my COMPUTER in either windows or OS X!!!!
- sonicdeath, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Bloody Brilliant!!
- MikeCP, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1the usefulness of this plugin outweighs the 45% chance its gonna crash when I change the mile radius.
- fishmasta, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Has it been updated at all? I tried it before, but it kept crashing my computers, both my windows desktop and macbook iTunes. I think it might choke on large libraries.
- superpixel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1um, direct link here:
http://www.iconcertcal.com/
wtf? - theradical, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0It's a neat idea but it isn't something to rely on since it only seems to pick up about half the shows in my area (Amsterdam).
- skreech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0A word of caution...I installed this plugin a month or two ago and then couldn't figure out why my iTunes kept crashing after I updated to v7.0.2. Turns out it was this plugin causing problems. I followed the advice I found on the comments of this page: http://community.livejournal.com/macosx/5308901.html and deleted the prefs file for the plugin. If anybody else has had problems after installing this, that might help.
- OddFactor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2The On Tour widget already does this...
- junskey, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0this is amazing i just installed
i live in LA and 113 shows came up for next month - EvilGnomeAndy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1last.fm suckas!
- sigintop, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Best iTunes plugin for me is Octiv's Volume Logic:
http://www.octiv.com/index.asp?content=iTunes
Makes my Macbook Pro's speaker sound decent. - Nytron, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0too bad itunes sucks
bloatware ftl - SifuMoKung, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Great post. I actually like iTunes. I find it extremely useful in creating fluid databases. Disable the iTunes store, and your groovin'. This add on is awesome, I like a great many obscure musicians. They would never get any buzz otherwise. I got to see that The Police are coming and that I cannot afford the tickets. yay.
- SifuMoKung, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Oh yeah, and that great plug-in I was raving about, found out I missed Los Lobos. Truly, yay.
- dheaddy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1*****, it actually works
- DarkAlchemist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I really like this. It told me the Killers, Reliant K, and Fallout Boy are coming close to town.
- nathanmock, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Perhaps a plugin similar to this but for new album releases? Anything out there that does this?
- Robamellow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Cool program! very easy to use and it works in Germany too!
- kierand, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0didn't work for me.
- wblake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong, but will this plugin work with an iPod? Or does this just pull the names and tour dates off the library? Anyone know
about this? Let me know. Thanks. -
