It's only of slightly less quality that something I would expect to see on MTV. If MTV still showed music videos that is.

The music industry has always been able to sell crap to the public. I understand that The Monkeys didn't know how to play their instruments when their produced their first album. They learned after the fact.

    Music isn't dead. Pop music will always be poppy and ridiculous like this. As a matter of fact, I think the music scene is more alive than it's been a while, just stop listening to top 40.

        They (being rock groups in general) no how to put on a good show because they are singing they're own *****. ashlee simpson can lipsync all day, u have fun with that.

My ears began to bleed when they played the video they made with her "corrected" audio and it still sounded like *****. In key sure, but still obviously manipulated to the point where it sounds awful.

    Psh. See Maynard from TOOL or (gasp) Jared Leeto from 30 Seconds to Mars. Seen them both in concert, LIVE and they were both amazing singers, no digital "enhancement" necessary.

    Pop Songs: Watch these videos with the volume on low. Because while my ears realize this is garbage...my eyes aren't lying that that's one hot girl.

    Rock Songs: Turn up the volume and forget about the video. Because who cares what some drugged-up, over-sexed, musical genius looks like?

  • samson7842, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2This is very misleading. Number one, a lot of the so-called "real artists" out there use ghost writers. And, I'm not talking about pop stars. I'm talking about rockers. Secondly, the song in this video is crappy. The production is sloppy and the arrangement is at best, mediocre.

    Third point: the girl they are using has no delivery, no charisma or charm. She actually has zero talent. As much as people like to bash Brittany, she has a delivery all her own. No one else sound like her. Plus, she has tons of charisma. She has that "it" factor. That is a talent also. Either you're born with it or not. She has that "thing" that makes people, who like that style of music, take notice.

    Trust me when I tell you, it isn't that simple. Even if the artist doesn't write his or her own music, and can't "technically" sing that well, he or she still has to have something special to make the music work for that person. You still have to deliver a "feel" on the track. There is no amount of coaching, software, or other fakery that can accomplish that.
