- standinsilence, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3Some of my favorite bands are from Seattle.. Death Cab for Cutie, Minus the Bear, Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses to name a few.
- wintersleep, on 10/07/2008, -2/+1If you like Fleetfoxes/Band of Horses (who are signed to Subpop but come from South Carolina), you'll love Wintersleep (one of my favorites at the moment).

my favorite line: "I don't need no surgery, take those knives away from me. Just wanna die in my own body, a ghost just needs a home." - AncientWeird, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Good. But that guide for listening to the music should be called "how to use an ipod to listen to music".
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/07/2008, -3/+2Grunge is still alive!
- Sage920, on 10/07/2008, -1/+9Dugg for Seattle.

- GangsterCompute, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2Portland electronica - we're just a few hours away!
hosted.filefront.com/gangstercompute- Seann7656, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2I absolutely LOVE Portland.I Went there for a day and fell in love with it. I'd move there in a heartbeat if I knew anyone down there...
- Monkeywithacold, on 10/07/2008, -1/+2I actually think I am about to move away from Portland. I love it here, but I am 21, not really connected to anything, and figure now is a good time to move somewhere for a while and try new things. I lived in Seattle a year ago, and sorta like the idea of just moving around till I am 25 or so. Anyone I talk to in their 30's says its a great idea, rather than just going through college, then getting a career and being locked down till you retire.
- Seann7656, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Free things are better than those of which you have to pay for
- yeahblah, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4For those who care, sound quality isn't that great (192 kbps or lower, mostly lower...). Nice idea though.
Long live Seattle! - Ne007, on 10/07/2008, -3/+1Gunge kicked the bucket?
- BradBrown, on 10/07/2008, -6/+1No, they just renamed it "Linkin Park."
- icecoldtrashcan, on 10/07/2008, -1/+1Toss onto my iPod? Nah, I'd rather not, thanks.
- Yondelldude, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4Needs more "The Fall of Troy."
- Funyn, on 10/07/2008, -1/+1Too bad all the great musicians went a few hours to the south to Portland.
- Honeyblade, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1There is some great music in Portland, but if you think there is no great musicians in Seattle than you aren't paying attention.
- Honeyblade, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1YAY FOR TEAM GINA!!
- dan1101, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1For you recovering Grung addicts that like heavier music, give Electric Wizard a listen. They're a stoner metal band from England, but to me their music has a lot in common with grunge, except heavier and a bit more evil. Watch your speakers, the low freqs will stress them quite a bit.
- KyleEatsCrayons, on 10/07/2008, -0/+0i didnt see any mention of the Blue Scholars... if you like good Hip Hop check them out.
- PearlJammzz, on 10/08/2008, -0/+0blue scholars FTMFW! There is one artist on that list that sounds VERY similar to Blue Scholars
Good mix, there are a few REALLY good songs in here, both hip hop and more grungy stuff. - CobwebsStrange, on 10/25/2008, -0/+0the spits are better than everyone mentioned.....
