      I can't help but find your criticism far-fetched, jaded and a tad racist. I really don't see the James Taylor connection at all (unless he is your favorite artist and you think all music should sound like him).
      "He could be a unique black artist"? Is his color even an issue?
      That being said...not a huge fan of the song or video.

It reminds me of James Taylor a little. If you have seen the movie Old School you'll remember the scene with Snoops stage act. Now if he stopped using the terms 'hoes', 'murder' and '*****' then maybe he could broaden his audience and more people could stomach his style. Which is appealing.
