- TotalHalibut, on 07/17/2008, -2/+38And that's a good thing.
- precision256, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2I agree I can't wait to hear some new stuff from him.

- chaos7, on 07/17/2008, -20/+4song isn't great
- loquedesea, on 07/17/2008, -1/+1i don't know why you're being dugg down. i love zack's vocal stylings, but this IS a weak 'comeback' choice. let's hope this isn't an indication of a sub·par album...
- RoroCo, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3When you haven't had pizza in years, even 7-11 pizza tastes yummy. This song maybe a 7-11 slice, but it tastes like Ray's to me :)
- daebat, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2because he's being negative. as opposed to positive...
- loquedesea, on 07/17/2008, -1/+1i don't know why you're being dugg down. i love zack's vocal stylings, but this IS a weak 'comeback' choice. let's hope this isn't an indication of a sub·par album...

Direct link to listen to the song. - JJCDAD, on 07/17/2008, -3/+11I'm liking the new track. I'm sure I'll check out the album when it hits.
- Six7Six7, on 07/17/2008, -16/+4This sounds like exactly like every other song Zach has ever done.
Another song about war and the rich. wonderful. has this guy never been in love ever?- TotalHalibut, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2Maybe you should ask Trent Reznor the same question, then maybe wonder what that's got to do with making entertaining music.
- Six7Six7, on 07/17/2008, -8/+4The music isn't good either.
- sKiLLa182, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2"You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug..."
- trafficlight, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2It's his style, his personality. What's wrong with that? If you are so butt hurt about it, don't listen.
- Six7Six7, on 07/17/2008, -3/+3i already listened. let me know when a time machine has been invented so i can take your advice and go back and not listen.
- Prototek, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6Go listen to James Blunt.
- Six7Six7, on 07/17/2008, -6/+2you watch too much VH1 if that is the first artist that sprung to mind.
It's quite telling of what your personal tastes are honestly.
- Six7Six7, on 07/17/2008, -6/+2you watch too much VH1 if that is the first artist that sprung to mind.
- IanPR, on 07/17/2008, -1/+3He is in love with fixing the wrongdoings of society and the government.
- Six7Six7, on 07/17/2008, -4/+7by doing what exactly?
Last i checked it was Morello who was out raising money for various causes with the Axis of Justice/Nightwatchmen.
Zach just whines about everything collect a paycheck for himself. - IanPR, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1Public awareness more than anything.
- kineticworm, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1actually six7, Zack, as it's spelled, is involved in number of various activist causes. he just hasn't been as loud.
- Six7Six7, on 07/17/2008, -4/+7by doing what exactly?
- axisdelasal, on 07/17/2008, -2/+2This is the most emo comment i had ever read. Well probably they are in love for defending their point of view.
- TotalHalibut, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2Maybe you should ask Trent Reznor the same question, then maybe wonder what that's got to do with making entertaining music.
- dontswimtoshore, on 07/17/2008, -4/+17dugg for jon theodore.
- acetv, on 07/17/2008, -0/+6He was WAY underused in this track. Honestly, why team up with him if this is the kind of stuff you're going to have him playing?
- fruscianteisgod, on 07/17/2008, -1/+3de-loused in the comatorium is one of the greatest album ever. jon is a phenomenal drummer. watch the mars volta live at the the electric ballroom, jon is just insane in that. also RATM is still just as bad ass a decade later
- Minishark, on 07/17/2008, -1/+1Theodore's a great drummer, but Pridgen's better. Hate to be the one to break it to you.
- Zandarrr, on 07/17/2008, -1/+15Long live Rocha!
- IanPR, on 07/17/2008, -2/+53As awesome as this is... needs more Morello. X|
- glxyjones, on 07/17/2008, -0/+10Couldn't agree more. Morello's guitar is just as important to the sound of Rage as De La Rocha's voice.
- Tyrghast, on 07/17/2008, -0/+4Without the rest of Rage Against the Machine, Zack will never live up to his past songs, such as http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Jz8wU9DdbqU
http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFfIZSh_chg - EvinKaless, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3I love RATM, but this is crap.
- ProjectGSX, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1Amen. The lyrics are great but the music is ***** BORING. Give me a break.
- skyshock1, on 07/17/2008, -22/+1I must be the only one that thought De La Rocha was RATM's weak point. He always sounds like such a punk.
- Owwmykneecap, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6ohhh, you are such a moron for that comment.....
- IanPR, on 07/17/2008, -1/+5He WAS a punk.
In a great way. - Whackly, on 07/17/2008, -1/+3i dare say you kinda missed the point of the whole band. ratm had no weak points.
- zjordan04, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2You're right; you may just be the only one. I couldn't disagree with your opinion more.
- madk, on 07/17/2008, -12/+23I really want to love it...but this track does nothing for me.
- nofx1510, on 07/17/2008, -4/+12Ditto.
- Rfriaz, on 07/17/2008, -11/+2Sad when I hear this; always it is used as an excuse that shifts the blame onto the music, instead of placing on the listener, who should be willing to work towards appreciating something.
- brettmurf, on 07/17/2008, -2/+8I can't tell if I am reading Rfriaz's comment right or not, but I get the feeling he is a pretentious music snob.
When I listen to music I don't want to work towards anything. I want it to do the work, otherwise there is no point in listening to it at all. That doesn't mean I have to listen passively, but if I don't like it, that is the end of it. - ngmcs8203, on 07/17/2008, -0/+7I think he's hinting towards the fact that people give a song/album/artist a minute of their time and decide whether or not they like them. It took me a few tracks to truly enjoy Volta, Radiohead, Rage, etc. Once I gave them a chance I found there was underlying characteristics about the music that really make it unique.
- bpoteat, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2ngmcs - yeah, you could argue that, but it's clear after a minute that this sounds like RATM-lite.
- brettmurf, on 07/17/2008, -2/+8I can't tell if I am reading Rfriaz's comment right or not, but I get the feeling he is a pretentious music snob.
- DeFex, on 07/17/2008, -1/+4Thanks for explaining who people are instead of expecting people to know. it is much appreciated.
- JonProphet, on 07/17/2008, -10/+2So is Rocha Black or Hispanic?
- kineticworm, on 07/17/2008, -2/+3why does that even matter?
- IanPR, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2Half mexican if my memory serves me well.
- Owwmykneecap, on 07/17/2008, -4/+14I saw Rage on sunday...***** Awesome.
Its a pity so many near me only knew one song and worse that they didnt get it...- ProfessorLX, on 07/17/2008, -9/+2sorry oh great RATM guru, will you please have mercy on us? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaase forgive us with all your worldly powers and great knowledge.
ever think people might like a band without knowing the words to every single song on every single album? you should be happy those people were there, it's because of them that makes touring profitable and keeps ratm going.- Owwmykneecap, on 07/17/2008, -2/+1hahaha, thanks for the Lulz.
- ProfessorLX, on 07/17/2008, -9/+2sorry oh great RATM guru, will you please have mercy on us? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaase forgive us with all your worldly powers and great knowledge.
- darkane, on 07/17/2008, -6/+13I kept expecting the song to go somewhere. It never did. It has all the intensity of a tranquilized gerbil.
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 07/17/2008, -2/+20I love his lyrics and his style but... he needs Morello. He just doesn't have anything to back up what he is saying music wise.
- smookyfufu, on 07/17/2008, -9/+31Dugg, they rule and audioslave ***** sucks
- sKiLLa182, on 07/17/2008, -4/+6Okay, Rage was better than Audioslave but this song isn't.
- tcpik, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3Rage was better, but I seen a sweet Audioslave show in Indy once.
They played soundgarden, rage, and audioslave tracks all in one show and played for about 2 1/2 hours. Chris Cornell singing rage songs was a little strange, but morello was on it. - Sammi84, on 07/17/2008, -1/+1This is quite ok. Not as good as Rage IMHO. Needs more Morello, as stated above.
Love Audioslave myself... and rage... and soundgarden...
- foolosophy, on 07/17/2008, -2/+17Either Zack is holding back, or he's lost his passion. There's a definite drop in intensity in his voice, despite it sounding like it always has. The song lacked a true climax. Neat tune, but nothing standout. Just didn't do much for me. I mean the most exciting part was the end, but then it finished.
- Detritus, on 07/17/2008, -0/+4I agree, it felt like the strong points were just too obvious to really pop. Some of the chessball mixing got a little too far out there as well.
I was excited for this project. It is hard to know how to take this track though. Is this like NIN's early release of My Violent Heart, which was more of a freebie than an emphasis track, or do they really think this is the single? - infodoc1, on 07/17/2008, -0/+4Everyone wants a new Rage album, but you gotta remember that the guys are all around 40 now and aren't gonna thrash like they did in the early 90's.
- Detritus, on 07/17/2008, -0/+4I agree, it felt like the strong points were just too obvious to really pop. Some of the chessball mixing got a little too far out there as well.
- c0re1337, on 07/17/2008, -1/+4Anyone have the link to the picture by which their band's name is derived from?
- soapyeyejoe, on 07/17/2008, -0/+18I wish we could have more music news like this hitting the front page. Much more interesting than lolcats and demotivational pictures.
dugg. - mokujindoug, on 07/17/2008, -1/+7Small clips from all 5 songs are here:
http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=AXUwOZZu2Ck- Commonwealth, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2Good stuff. I don't know why you're getting dugg down.
- bemyokono, on 07/17/2008, -1/+39i keep expecting it to go into a "bow wow chika bow wow chika chika chika"
- koenigje, on 07/17/2008, -0/+16Come wit it now!
- transitive, on 07/17/2008, -6/+4wow, that sound is like something from 1996, what a throwback.
- Khadar, on 07/17/2008, -2/+5Awesome, Jon Theodore is heard once again. Dugg.
- keithnoir, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6Now Testify!
- mydjtl, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6I saw him and Morello at the celebration in Chicago about 2 years ago when the Immokalee farm workers won their battle against Taco Hell, I mean, Taco Bell for better wages... that was one of the best shows Ive ever seen... La lucha sigue, de la Roca vive!!
- djphatjive, on 07/17/2008, -1/+4I could just listen to him rap with no music.
- Tyrghast, on 07/17/2008, -1/+7Zack De La Rocha needs to jump back in to the studio with RATM and bust out some new tunes, it just isn't the same without the wailing guitars. And Rage Against The Machine needs to visit Fort Worth so I can finally see them live.
- BerenTW, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2The EP is out in the store here (saw his myspace this morning.. and thought "bring on the 22nd", but then went to town for lunch and saw it in JB HiFi).
(australia here) - Foenetik, on 07/17/2008, -0/+6I just wish he would go ahead and release the ***** he did with questlove and dj shadow. jeez, all they had to do was pick the tracklist out of like 28 songs. but apparently zack can be somewhat "difficult" to work with.
- mchisari, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3
"march of death" was brilliant. I really wish that album had come out.
- mchisari, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3
- infodoc1, on 07/17/2008, -2/+2Nice... I didn't know what to expect from this collaboration, but so far I'm feeling this first song.
- lordshank, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2***** finally, I thought Zack had fallen off of the planet or something. Simple, yet all I need to hear.
- NextGenXbox, on 07/17/2008, -0/+6This just makes me want a new RATM album even more! Come on guys. Do it!
- Conguent, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2That was so good.
- polarbear66, on 07/17/2008, -1/+3zomg john theodore is SOOOOO GOOD
though this track doesn't show his skills...
Frances the Mute does however. - leonardutah, on 07/17/2008, -4/+12Thank god. ***** that audioslave *****.
- Sliperyfish, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2Uhh, Neither of these members were in audioslave, airhead.
Audioslave was Chris Cornell and RATM minus Zack- pdusen, on 07/17/2008, -1/+0Sliperyfish: whooooosh.
- leonardutah, on 07/17/2008, -1/+3Well, airhead, my point was that when rage split, everybody but Zac lost the message and edge and made ***** music.
- Sammi84, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2I think Zack was the one who lost it, IMHO. It's like he dropped of the face of the planet.
Audioslave made good rock. Not great rock, but they did have more than their fair share of hard rocking moments.
And Chris Cornell has a fantastic rock voice. It's not anything like Zack's though, and I think that this is what so many people just can't seem to accept. Audioslave was not RATM - they were something else. RATM dissolved, now get over it.
- Sliperyfish, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2Uhh, Neither of these members were in audioslave, airhead.
- Foot56, on 07/17/2008, -5/+3His Uncle is a professor of mine.. :)
- KayRaid, on 07/17/2008, -4/+2Mario C likes to keep it clean!
- audioscience, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2I dug ya up. ***** the putzes who don't read the article nor get the reference. Kids...
- xbunsenx, on 07/17/2008, -1/+1I like it... a bunch of retarded douches were commenting on that blog..
- ZephyrNinety, on 07/17/2008, -3/+3I'll be honest. Meh. His voice is powerful and unique, I love it, but the music is just NOT there
- BedPost, on 07/17/2008, -2/+1I hope the low quality is because it's on MySpace, because honestly... that sounds terrible. The music itself I like, but the quality... goddamn.
- lifeat24fps, on 07/17/2008, -7/+2***** you, Zach. Where were you when we needed you most.
- pdusen, on 07/17/2008, -0/+0Halfway up your ass, idiot.
- djAnakin, on 07/17/2008, -1/+6Definitely missing Morello.
- splinter09, on 07/17/2008, -1/+3Exactly, where is Tom Morello. please get back together RATM.
- kevyn, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1go see them at reading festival in august, in the UK
- audioscience, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1They are back together. They toured last year...
- lateralus, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3Amazing drummer....hopefully more of him in the other tracks. I might have to show my face in Circuit City to look for this but I know I'll be disappointed.
- oavil, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3Yeah Jon Theodore was the drummer on Mars Volta's first few albums, definitely insane drumming.
- maybememe, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1more!
- Twenty, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2I wish this song just exploded in... um... rage? But it doesn't. Maybe 4 RATM albums are a lot to live up to. I listen to plenty of death, thrash, and grind, but Rage is definitely the angriest band I've ever heard. It's completely infused in their music. I'm so glad I got to see them live. Also, does the synthesizer riff (I think it's a synth) sound exactly like a guitar riff from another Rage song?
- kevyn, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1I'm glad that little buggers come out of hiding at last
- iguanapunk, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1They might want to re-do the artwork, it's the same as Mylo's releases on Breastfed.
