        ^ That contains a double negative, and is not worded properly. ".... that never mind is two words and IS WROTE [not written] as such; ..... and IS not "nevermind"!" (either "is wrote" or "should be written")

        That whole sentence is fail, in fact. If I were to rewrite it: "Digg users are unaware that "never mind" is two words, not one, and should be written as such."... that is just one way to do it, properly.

        Also, according to the APA, the punctuation in that aforementioned sentence is supposed to be inside of the quotation marks, not on the outside.

        Did I mention that the bury brigade apparently put this so far down, it's not even on the list of upcoming > most popular?

    Here’s why: If you happen to read Digg comments you will see an overwhelming amount of grammar and spelling robots who seem to only post on Digg to correct people when they make grammatical mistakes. What the front door, guys? And I say guys, since everyone knows there aren’t any girls on the Internet.

    Who really cares?

    But here is something more interesting. Digg users do not know that never mind is two words and written as such and not ‘nevermind’! Yeah, you idiots. It’s two goddam ***** words. Stop writing it as one. But wait, it does not stop there. Never mind has been written incorrectly over 18,600 times on Digg!

    Let me put that statistic into perspective.

    Let us say the average age of a Digger is 18. Let us also say that the average Digger started masturbating at age 11. Three times a day. 7665. 7665 jerk off sessions.

    What am I trying to say? You Digg users collectively wrote ‘Never mind’ wrong more times than each of you jerked off!

    If you’re going to criticize and try to correct anyone on anything, remember to educate yourself first.

    This is why Digg users fail.

    When I first figured out how to masturbate I'm pretty sure I was doing it more than three times a day at first. If anything, this article gets dugg up by me simply for incorporating the number of times a person masturbates as a reference to how many times people on here wrote "never mind."

  • fudged71, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2It was a funny post. The quantitative analysis of masturbating vs. spelling was interesting, if nothing else. However, the grammar Nazis are actually the least of Digg's worries. Look at the immaturity all around. It is pretty disgusting.

    And please take into consideration that the submitted blog was created for the sole purpose of promoting his/her own ego of pointing out a common spelling mistake. One blog, one post, one egotistical douchebag. There's plenty of intellectual Digg commenters out there, but they tend to not get the spotlight, because intelligent posts generally do not have the zing-factor that is nowadays required to get a large amount of thumbs up. Also, the website tagline of "I’m tired of MrBabyMan" doesn't sit well with me if he/she is trying to make a valid point with this post.

    But it is a bit of a valid point. Firefox 3 tells me that "nevermind" is spelled incorrectly, and in this [literal] house, we obey the rules of Mozilla. This still shouldn't have been an egotistical, single blog post. It's one ***** spelling mistake. Get over yourself.
