- deadlift, on 06/22/2008, -0/+12With the bitch-o-meter reading so high on that blog, I wonder if it's actually a male
- edstittle, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2nevermind.
- Ajajadude, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2I was wondering if the moron made some grammatical errors. I didn't pay enough attention while reading to notice.
- beerncheese, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2I didn't notice any. Enlighten me.
- d1gg3r1, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1"Goddam" should be "goddamn"; "Yeah, you idiots" is a fractured sentence.
Quote: Digg users do not know that never mind is two words and written as such and not 'nevermind'!
^ That contains a double negative, and is not worded properly. ".... that never mind is two words and IS WROTE [not written] as such; ..... and IS not "nevermind"!" (either "is wrote" or "should be written")
That whole sentence is fail, in fact. If I were to rewrite it: "Digg users are unaware that "never mind" is two words, not one, and should be written as such."... that is just one way to do it, properly.
Also, according to the APA, the punctuation in that aforementioned sentence is supposed to be inside of the quotation marks, not on the outside.
Did I mention that the bury brigade apparently put this so far down, it's not even on the list of upcoming > most popular?
- d1gg3r1, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1"Goddam" should be "goddamn"; "Yeah, you idiots" is a fractured sentence.
- SuperJoints, on 06/22/2008, -1/+7The real reason why Digg users fail is by being on Digg in the first place.
However, this puts me into a tight spot. Am I included in my sweeping generalization?- seriousguy, on 06/22/2008, -1/+7hehee... tight spot.. u know what i mean ????? ... nevr mind.

- brightlight4, on 06/22/2008, -2/+2I have to agree with him, the grammar and spelling on Digg is terrrible, I just put it down to the fact that the majority of Americans don´t know how to spell nor use grammar (that I was told by a US graduate) but having said that, I think it is much more important to care about your country, bad politicians and environment, etc. than grammar when you want to be understood!!!
- btschul, on 06/22/2008, -1/+6"I just put it down to the fact that the majority of Americans don´t know how to spell nor use grammar"
- or mabye noone cares because its just a comment on a website not a ***** final essay worth 1000 points that will determine whether or not you graduate. But you can probably find a study that says just about anything you want, especially on the interweb. If it is not from a well known, reliable source, you can't really trust it.

- staffell, on 06/22/2008, -0/+4This is what Alanis SHOULD have been singing about.
- sk11, on 06/22/2008, -4/+9The "article":
It’s simple.
Digg users fail.
Well, some of them anyway.
Here’s why: If you happen to read Digg comments you will see an overwhelming amount of grammar and spelling robots who seem to only post on Digg to correct people when they make grammatical mistakes. What the front door, guys? And I say guys, since everyone knows there aren’t any girls on the Internet.
Who really cares?
But here is something more interesting. Digg users do not know that never mind is two words and written as such and not ‘nevermind’! Yeah, you idiots. It’s two goddam ***** words. Stop writing it as one. But wait, it does not stop there. Never mind has been written incorrectly over 18,600 times on Digg!
Let me put that statistic into perspective.
Let us say the average age of a Digger is 18. Let us also say that the average Digger started masturbating at age 11. Three times a day. 7665. 7665 jerk off sessions.
What am I trying to say? You Digg users collectively wrote ‘Never mind’ wrong more times than each of you jerked off!
If you’re going to criticize and try to correct anyone on anything, remember to educate yourself first.
This is why Digg users fail.
This is clearly someone who failed to get a submission to the front page.- gurellia53, on 06/22/2008, -1/+6thank you for posting this even before wordpress crashed...

Firefox has a spell checker, bitch! - bfrank72, on 06/22/2008, -1/+2This is surprising? Almost everyone on the internet sucks at spelling, Digg is not a unique case.

When I first figured out how to masturbate I'm pretty sure I was doing it more than three times a day at first. If anything, this article gets dugg up by me simply for incorporating the number of times a person masturbates as a reference to how many times people on here wrote "never mind."
To emphasize: nevermind, nevermind, nevermind, nevermind! - Shagmire, on 06/22/2008, -0/+4its funny because i'm pretty certain mr. baby man sent him over the edge
- tmyprod, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind. Nevermind.
Now we've misspelled Never mind 18,610 times. - shadowmoose, on 06/22/2008, -0/+3If you're going to say Digg users fail then I expect a better constructed argument. i.e Not one based off of Masturbating and the phrase never mind.
- Simonft, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1I get 18,500.
http://www.google.com/search?complete=1&hl=en&rls= ... - fudged71, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2It was a funny post. The quantitative analysis of masturbating vs. spelling was interesting, if nothing else. However, the grammar Nazis are actually the least of Digg's worries. Look at the immaturity all around. It is pretty disgusting.
And please take into consideration that the submitted blog was created for the sole purpose of promoting his/her own ego of pointing out a common spelling mistake. One blog, one post, one egotistical douchebag. There's plenty of intellectual Digg commenters out there, but they tend to not get the spotlight, because intelligent posts generally do not have the zing-factor that is nowadays required to get a large amount of thumbs up. Also, the website tagline of "I’m tired of MrBabyMan" doesn't sit well with me if he/she is trying to make a valid point with this post.
But it is a bit of a valid point. Firefox 3 tells me that "nevermind" is spelled incorrectly, and in this [literal] house, we obey the rules of Mozilla. This still shouldn't have been an egotistical, single blog post. It's one ***** spelling mistake. Get over yourself.- mikesbaker, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2I concur - guys like this a hole are ruining digg. and the whole MBM bashing is just stupid. also I think that the authors estimation of the average age on digg has a lot to do with his actual age.
- mikesbaker, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1deadlift - i bet you are pissed that digg is spelled wrong too
- philadelphia, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1That's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back.
- lemopwnu, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0Lol, he assumes we "jerk off" because he has to because he cant get laid! Want to know why? Because he spends all day figuring up how many times digg users use the word nevermind, and well, what exactly do we fail at??
i dunno nevermind, thats right, one word..
Digg is coming to a city (and computer) near you! Check out all the details on our
