- manzplan, on 08/19/2008, -3/+17WOW that cat is totally wild looking!
probably the result of inbreeding - but still cool- Zalyster, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2My neighbor had a cat with two tails. Well, the second one wasn't much of a tail, since it was much smaller and sagged a lot, but it was always just kind of odd to look at. Sadly it died of some cat disease after only a few years. :(
- sexybobo, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1I think they usualy call the second "tail" a penis.
- jmoo1, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2It's a boy!
- Spuy767, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2Buried as inaccurate, YOda wasn't a jedi knight, but a jedi master.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/20/2008, -0/+4Wouldn't he have been a knight before he became a master?

- kiiwii, on 08/19/2008, -3/+28That thing is adorable.
- megamod, on 08/20/2008, -10/+2No not cute... It's an abomination, a freak like the joker. Why do bland generic comments like yours always get dugg when it comes to pets?
- EnnuiStudent, on 08/20/2008, -1/+7It's because:
1. First type of adorable comment here.
2. We agree with it.
And buried for being contrary and surly for the hell of it.
- EnnuiStudent, on 08/20/2008, -1/+7It's because:

- UnFriendlyFire, on 08/19/2008, -2/+20Four ears, four ears, four ears. Other kittens can be so cruel.
- MxM111, on 08/20/2008, -2/+1Have to stop drinking - it quadruples in my eyes!
- DanQuist, on 08/19/2008, -1/+8Wow, I wasn't aware that spore worked in real life
- MMilitia, on 08/19/2008, -5/+4Heh, they look more like horns than additional ears. I'd have called it Satan cat - not Yoda cat.
- bigfruitbasket, on 08/19/2008, -1/+14Can you hear me now? OK, how about now...?
- piglet1350, on 08/19/2008, -1/+4So ugly, he's cute!
- piglet1350, on 08/19/2008, -0/+4I've heard of extra toes, but ears.....?
- obxjdt, on 08/20/2008, -1/+3Too cool!!! I love cats, I'd take this cat in a heart beat!
- imgbuilders, on 08/20/2008, -3/+0Very strange.
- coryroo24, on 08/20/2008, -2/+9Good hearing he has.
- koolmoecraig, on 08/20/2008, -4/+51Uhhhhh since when does Yoda have 4 ears? Looks nothing at all like Yoda. More like a devil. How about Hellboy cat?
- supguy, on 08/20/2008, -13/+1OM NOM NOM NOM
- phrawgh, on 08/20/2008, -0/+16Very strange cat, he is.
- Aznpaswazn, on 08/20/2008, -9/+0I have 10 fingers.

- InspiredIdiot, on 08/20/2008, -8/+0I sure as hell don't do star trek or whatever it is but here's a bunch of cuter creatures, if that's what y'all are callen em these days
http://digg.com/arts_culture/Photography_Meets_Ill ... - Erik1, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3Yoda (the real one) does not look too impressed about having his name stolen.
- tehcobra, on 08/20/2008, -5/+1It looks like a deformed cat, not a master of the force.
- mambanamba, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2is this how evolution happens?
random mutations? if the cat has offspring is his/her kids more likely to have four ears?- Bersy, on 08/20/2008, -1/+0If your child were born with an extra set of arms, or two heads, would their children then be more likely to have them?
No.
You could argue that's because nobody would have sex with them...... but my point stands.- ParanoydAndroid, on 08/20/2008, -0/+4You're right about the nobody wanting to have sex with them, but as far as the cat goes, I would bet it's a genetic mutation. This implies that its kittens would be more likely to have 4 ears - and if 4 ears provides some sort of advantage (to hearing I would assume ...), then the mutation could stick around/
... except that they probably had him neutered ....

- adolfojp, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2Only if the mutation gives the cat and its offspring an evolutionary advantage.
In the case of this cat? No.- Cybermaul, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2Actually, that rule is only applicable to natural selection, not genetic mutation in relation to inheritance. If an individual in a population has a genetic mutation, then that individual will pass a copy of his/her genes to their offspring, advantageous or not. I mean, look at us humans. Bad teeth, poor eyesight, bow-leggedness, hemophelia - all genetically inherited traits that are definitely not advantageous to us in the slightest, yet passed on just as easily as the genes to allow for better eyesight, stronger teeth, superior bone structure, and the like.
- EnnuiStudent, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1Depends how much a-game this cat really has?
Chances are probably higher in its offspring to have this similar mutation (although probably still low), when compared to just a normal cat.
- Bersy, on 08/20/2008, -1/+0If your child were born with an extra set of arms, or two heads, would their children then be more likely to have them?
- onux16, on 08/20/2008, -7/+2ok, seriously. Why does this article have 200+ diggs when there isn't much to look at? There wasn't much to TFA, and the cat looks retarded and nothing at all like Yoda. Either it's been a slow day here at Digg, or I'm slowly losing face in the human race.
- DeathJux, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1DailyMail games Digg for traffic.
- MxM111, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1How often do you see cat with four ears? Come on! It is not the look, it is the fact itself which worth "looking" at!
- geminister, on 08/20/2008, -2/+1I don't get it - why are mutations so often thought to be the result of inbreeding? If you check your facts, inbreeding is not the leading cause of mutations: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutation
- Myztry, on 08/20/2008, -0/+5Inbreeding doesn't cause mutation but convergence of a blood line (ie. receiving the same mutant gene from both parents) will greatly increase the chance of mutation manifesting, rather than simply being carried.
Yada Yada Yada

- SolidEnder, on 08/20/2008, -7/+1Holy crap that lady was so ugly I had to close the page without finishing the article!
- Darksider, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2Holy crap your comment was so crappy I had to digg your bitch ass down
- JacobParker, on 08/20/2008, -1/+1I've heard of 4 eyes, but not 4 ears...
- socivitus, on 08/20/2008, -0/+4Daily Mail being influenced by pictures submitted to Digg?
http://digg.com/pets_animals/Cat_With_6_Ears - VandyB, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2Yes you can hasaRRRRRRRRRRR GET THE ***** AWAY FROM ME!
- welliwonder, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1Do the ears work? If so, breed the new evolution of cat and make an ARMY!!!! MUHAHAHAHAAAAAaaaa...
- ideology, on 08/20/2008, -1/+3People, we need to stop digging the Daily Mail.
It's the British equivalent of digging Fox News and we all know how much the Digg community respects that "fair and balanced" media outlet.- widgetmaker, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2Fox news is really that bad?
- ParanoydAndroid, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1Yes.
- widgetmaker, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2Fox news is really that bad?
- palehorse864, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2If a can opener is used anywhere in the country, he's onto it!
- Encablossa, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2DO NOT WANT!
http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/0/0 ... - borez, on 08/20/2008, -1/+3I have to agree, can we stop digging up the the Daily Mein Kampf please. This tabloid piece of crap paper spreads racism , xenophobia, hate and false propaganda to the British people, it supports Nazism and Fascism and twists the news with a totally inaccurate and biased slant.
As ideology said "It's the British equivalent of digging Fox New" ...and then some. Therefore it's disappointing and somewhat irritating for a British freethinking person to see it within the pages of Digg.
I've said my piece... your call.
Yoda from the source: http://www.barcroftmedia.com/index.pgi - ManicMyna, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1waits for tomorrow story in the daily fail where they the blame for UK knife crime on this cat
- widgetmaker, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3Buried for daily mail
- punkcat, on 08/20/2008, -2/+1"Valerie, 65, said: 'We were at a pub on the south side of Chicago..."
a pub? that is not a freaking quote Daily Mail, no one in the US would say they were at a "pub."- eadnams, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1... we say it all the time... In fact, I refer to three different nigth spot types... Pub, Bar, and Club
- ParanoydAndroid, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1I was under the impression that since the Daily Mail was carrying this, Valerie was a British ex-pat living here in America ... which would explain why she says "pub."
- Triumvirate, on 08/20/2008, -2/+1Buried for inaccuracy. Yoda is not a Jedi Knight, he's a Jedi Master.
- Roagie, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1That is not a mutation, but rather a dormant gene that was accidentally switched back on. Those ears are from that cat's ancestors somewhere along the evolutionary chain.
- Diggnabbit, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3http://icanhascheezburger.com/2008/02/27/funny-pic ...
- Po0py, on 08/20/2008, -0/+4It looks nothing like Yoda.

- phosphite, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2Wow, somebody elses cat is named Yoda besides mine!! (I didn't name him, my mother-in-law to be did! :)
- thegrantman, on 08/20/2008, -0/+4 He ignores you .......and you know damned well he heard you.
- locotx, on 08/20/2008, -0/+0The cat is cool . . but SHE has Yoda's eyes . . .same they look.
