woot.com — "Moving sucks, huh? And waiting for your Woot-Off order to be shipped because we were moving is almost as bad, although you probably didn't throw your back out or anything. We figured that since so many people waited so long for so many orders because of our recent move, we should at least "invite" you into our new home with this virtual tour."

- ripstuntz, on 10/12/2007, -18/+5they may have a sweet ass office, but that isn't going to convince me to buy the $3 pencil holder.
- ZogDog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Great new building Woot! I guarantee you'd buy a $3 pencil if it included a set of 2.1 speakers!
- elcidcannon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14yeah, but the $5 shipping on anything you buy sure is nice.
- ehberg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Date on post: Mar 20, 2007 1:00 PM.
Solid month old for you. - trecool95, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5wow. i got the same newsletter with a link to this month old post
- shibz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Wasn't this on front page last month?
- Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25Woot is a great company. Sure, they've got some actual crap (the inflatable widescreen projection screen for 500 bucks springs to mind), but the Woot-offs are the closest thing the Internet has to a sporting event. Plus, they seem to have a genuine sense of humor.
Viva Blinged-Out Cabbage! - Kumaku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I tend to find a gem every now and then. Bandoleer of Carrots are the best.
- tavisjohn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I end up getting something at least once a month.
- lkmbrd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Nice Wootplex.
- unloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Wow. They must be doing something right.
- weeeeeeee, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Can someone tell me what Woot! is so I don't have to actually do any learning?
- LR2_, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woot.com
- drworthless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Woot offers a new product once a day, 1 AM eastern time. They have standard 5 dollar shipping on everything, and really appeal to the impulse buyers who stay up every night to check the new item.
Once the item is sold out, it's sold out. No new item goes up til the next day.
Except for woot-offs. It's like a marathon of new items continually going up after the current one is sold out.
Products range from toasters to roomba's to MP3 players to 2000 dollar HDTV's. Oh and they do a bag of crap occasionally, which is a mystery item. it's only a buck, it could be anything from a pencil sharpener to a 360.
Hope that helps... - gjcomputer, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1woot!?!?!?
www.woot.com - JimmyIkon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1They're an online retailer that features a product on their home-page that you can only buy during that day.
- Deranged, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2www.woot.com
They sell one item per day (except for special cases that you can find out later. see: woot-off).
The item they sell is usually a good bit cheaper than can be found elsewhere.
If they run out of that item, you'll have to wait until midnight central time for there to be another item on the site (except for that special case)
Shipping is ALWAYS $5 for the item. No matter what it weighs.
Every once in a while, woot will sell a "random bag of crap". It sells for $1 (+$5 shipping) and is usually a good investment. In fact, it's rumored that someone got a 60" TV for a mere $6 that way. - lowbot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4>Woot offers a new product once a day, 1 AM eastern time.
Whats wrong with midnight central? Theyre in CST.
Woot is a place where you can buy highly discounted roombas. They sometimes sell non-roombas.
Seriously, they should just create roomba.woot.com and be done with it. - exscind, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey, keep woot secret ya goobers. If someone wants to to know, let em google. ;)
- JimmyIkon, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1This smells like spam... the poster signed up on March 1, 07 and probably dugg all his other submissions with the same fake profile's he's using to post positive comments in here.
- Twinked, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I bet you Woot.com has a tin foil hat they'll sell you really cheap with only $5 shipping.
- GabrielS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Clearly this office fell off the back of a truck.

- Kodiak41226, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just goes to show they are making entirely too much money, selling the world refurb junk they most likely didn't need anyhow.

- Talphin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1You know... I have developed 7 websites so far. Some are really awesome ideas, and some are just OK. Either way, within the past 4 years I haven't made enough money from all of them combined to take my wife out to dinner, let alone buy an entire fortress of an office!
Where have I gone wrong!!! damnit... I will keep on hitting that drawing board.
/Envy - utch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I do not get digg... When this story was new it seems like no one cared - http://digg.com/tech_deals/Woot_com_NEW_Facility_w_PICS
