- themurph2099, on 07/01/2008, -3/+21Amazing footage. I'd love to see it in HD. Techno music gets a little old, though.
- groo68, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5"Surf's up" did it better.
- makkaveli19, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4*house music.

- jimmaculate, on 07/01/2008, -1/+14dude, that's rad. It's amazing how relaxed the surfer is.
- ecrunner, on 07/01/2008, -5/+1sick.
- jluebbert, on 07/02/2008, -9/+8Would have been much better without the crappy music in the background, still cool though.
- nitesoIja, on 07/03/2008, -5/+2nice

- s4rge, on 07/03/2008, -7/+1epic
- dstamat, on 07/03/2008, -0/+16They should show it in normal speed as well... that's definitely part of the experience :)
- jameslhwalker, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4any one know where this is, "south pacific" is specific enough
- burreato, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4Mainland Mexico
- arcooke, on 07/03/2008, -5/+1And you know this how? Buried for lack of proof.
- burreato, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3http://www.surfline.com/video/video_player/video_p ...
- davidrools, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3This video is probably from a different place farther south with warmer water, since he's not wearing a wetsuit like he is in the Mexico one.
- burreato, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3You could be right, I just noticed the coast looked the same and in the description of the one I linked (part 3) it says "Once again, Brian Conley takes us on an ultra-feral journey through Mainland Mexico and its frothing barrels." Could be a different time of the year.
- burreato, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4Mainland Mexico
- ShadowFoxxx, on 07/03/2008, -6/+0That looks like it's so wicked fun!

- HappyScrappy, on 07/03/2008, -9/+2I...am an F...B...I agent!
- Jchen1986, on 07/03/2008, -9/+1I'm really surprised that no one has thought of attaching a cam to the board before....I guess that makes it new??
- rdaly92, on 07/03/2008, -0/+1no its actually really old. go buy a surf movie. They have these shots in every one.
- rambamslam, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4go watch The Endless Summer that was made in the 60's. they used surf cams.
- bryanricker, on 07/03/2008, -1/+15Nothing beats being there, doing it for yourself.
- burreato, on 07/03/2008, -8/+2Agreed, no stoke in watching a video.
- otto989, on 07/03/2008, -3/+6dugg down for lame ass lingo
- 801NvizioN, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4Amen.
- burreato, on 07/03/2008, -8/+2Agreed, no stoke in watching a video.
- toymachine711, on 07/03/2008, -1/+5Makes me wonder why i'm sitting on my ass at home and not out back learning how to surf.
- Theycallmetak, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3Unless you're landlocked there's nothing stopping you. Have fun!
- headlessclown, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4this goes well with the interpol i'm listening to. amazing footage
- Quizboy, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2Anything goes good with Interpol.
- Thwarter, on 07/03/2008, -4/+2Tubular brah!
- GDOG5, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2They are using a very wide angle lens as you can see from the distortion around the sides of the frame. He is not so distorted as he is in the middle and close to the camera. This is what makes the barrel look very big. However its still ***** awesome.
- 70percent, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3-1 digg. that barrel is big. very big. its big enough to eat you, so stay on the beach. heh. kidding. seriously though, to look that big on the inside, it's 15 on the face, and could probably power your house for 2 months.
- rdaly92, on 07/03/2008, -1/+2You are the biggest kook I have ever seen. 15 face? Say it again and imagine what double over head and then some waves look like. This aint teapu. 5-10 footers barreel just like that with the right reef.
- Theycallmetak, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2Nice, calling someone a kook for not being able to judge wave height from a wide angle lens, board mounted camera.
You may want to look up the beach I'm assuming you're referring to.
Teahupo'o - pronounced Cho-pu
Haven't been there but I know how to spell it.
- 70percent, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3-1 digg. that barrel is big. very big. its big enough to eat you, so stay on the beach. heh. kidding. seriously though, to look that big on the inside, it's 15 on the face, and could probably power your house for 2 months.
- 247365, on 07/03/2008, -0/+10Such a refreshing video, it brought a smile to my face. No one getting hurt, and no violence. Bravo!
- 0XiDE, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5dugg dugg dugg dugg dugg god i want to see this in real life.
- dikaiosyne, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5There is something so calming about that video.
- 70percent, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5Even smaller barrels (those waves are easily 12 to 15 feet on the face) are some of the most intense and fleeting experiences in nature. It takes years and years of experience to be able to handle those conditions. The experience though, is so insane that many surfers set their lives up so that all responsibilities can be ditched to chase the fickle swells that might produce such waves. I have.
- Zero123, on 07/03/2008, -0/+83:57 of pure goodness. surf more = good :)
- rdaly92, on 07/03/2008, -4/+0I dont mean to be a downer but these shots are actually very common in surf movies. Go pick up one and you can watch this stuff for hours.
- pmdones, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2Is it just me who thinks this? But wouldn't it be kickass if the next-next-gen consoles could look anything even similar to this? especially the wipe out at the end.
- ltethe, on 07/03/2008, -3/+2Oh god. Being a heathen, I do not capitalize your name, I hold my abilities to be greater then your own, and am generally doubtful to your existence having been raised as a thinking individual who follows reasoning and logic.
However, in the case I'm wrong, I could use your help not eating ***** on the waves every time I'm out. Let me experience this for myself before I'm too old and good for nothing more then sharkbait.
~A surfer's prayer. - ophello, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2After constantly seeing surfing to the right, I want to see shots with surfing to the left. Guess I'll grab a mirror.
- Theycallmetak, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2Watch anything with footage of Pipe. Look up "Banzai Pipeline" and you'll see a big left.
- Vernicious, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2The cameraman must have really good balance. And be really small to fit on the back of the surfboard. Impressive!
- makkaveli19, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1if you're joking then bravo, if not then i'm sorry for you.
- Vernicious, on 07/03/2008, -0/+2haha, thanks.
- TobyDumb, on 07/03/2008, -1/+1Starting at 2:30 to 2:34 there appears to be a white/red figure in the water just beneath him, did anybody else notice that?
- diceau, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4Had 2 of these types of barrels in my life, first went for 5 seconds, second went for 3 seconds ... but those 8 seconds are the most amazing of my life even to this day. There really is no experience like it ... if you have the passion, patience and health, it's worth it, go learn!

- Teku, on 07/03/2008, -0/+43:20-3:24 is an amazing shot.
- Manguskahn, on 07/03/2008, -0/+3That footage is absolutely wicked. I have never seen that point of view before. What amazed me was how the surfer would curl into a ball because the tube had gotten so small, and you could see the little light at the end of the tube. Marine bliss.
- kaosethema, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1amazing
