It's basically a highly, HIGHLY updated Diablo, and i think that's pretty much all we wanted and asked for- Jhiaxuz, on 06/28/2008, -1/+108Don't fix what ain't broken. Except make it more pretty.
- chubbstar, on 06/28/2008, -1/+41and throw in a havoc engine!
- therightclique, on 06/28/2008, -22/+1its too bad they made it look like WoW. I wish it still looked like Diablo. Its too bad. Their art director needs to be fired.... out of a cannot.... into the sun. i hope the gameplay makes up for the ***** art design and 4 year old engine.
- gsp9216, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4the *****? it looks better than wow
- Whaines, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3I don't think therightclique has seen WoW before...
- darkjolt, on 06/30/2008, -0/+0Wait... did he just say "out of a cannot"?
- medfreak, on 06/28/2008, -10/+30That is exactly what Fallout fans asked for when getting Fallout 3. To bad that never happened.
- Intangible360, on 06/28/2008, -8/+38Curse those development studios making triple A original content. After all we all just want to play the same 20 great games over and over again just with better graphics right?
- medfreak, on 06/28/2008, -5/+19I am all for new original content, but slashing and destroying an old IP (Fallout) and making it similar to another IP of their own (Elder Scrolls) is nothing original. I would take a graphically updated Fallout 2 over Elder scrolls with guns in a heart beat.
- Intangible360, on 06/28/2008, -6/+16You've already made up your mind before you've played the game, so forgive me if I don't take your word for it that you're "all for new original content".
- dillibob, on 06/28/2008, -4/+8i think it looks great personally
- goffy59, on 06/28/2008, -11/+3I feel like a loser considering Bethesda actually pisses me off. I just wanted to play a true Fallout sequel. What I don't understand is Bethesda' ***** about the new generation of gaming. Look what Blizzard did; I bet you they will sell more copies then Fallout 3. Diablo 3 is exactly like Diablo 2, just a better environment and effects. I wish Interplay never sold the IP or at least sold it to a company that has talent.
- medfreak, on 06/28/2008, -5/+12@intangible
Bethesda's "Fallout 3" could be a good game on its own, it just IS NOT Fallout 3. That is the whole point. Selling a game as a sequel is deception because it is not. It is more like an FP action RPG spin off than a sequel. Regardless of whether you played the game yet or not, that much is clear from the enormous amount of information out there regarding the game. - Wetzilla, on 06/28/2008, -4/+10I don't understand why a game would have to be played exactly the same in order to be a sequel. If they can capture the feel and tone of the Fallout world, and just put it into a first person perspective then why wouldn't it be Fallout 3? Just because it isn't in the 3rd person isometric view?
- medfreak, on 06/28/2008, -3/+6If Civilization 4 was a real time strategy like Red alert and Starcraft, would you consider it a sequel to the civilization franchise?
- Blueshrike, on 06/28/2008, -1/+6@medfreak:
Metroid Prime was a true sequel in a different perspective. All was forgiven when the gameplay proved that it could deliver. Fallout 3 could do just that, or it might not. What makes a sequel as others have pointed out is the feel and flow. - Wetzilla, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3If they did it like Sins of a Solar Empire then yes, I would consider it a sequel.
- goffy59, on 06/28/2008, -4/+4I guess most of the people here haven't ever played Fallout 1 or 2. So really they don't know what they are talking about. Its ok that you guys don't understand. I guess you either weren't born then or didn't know how to use a computer in the late 90's.
- Azriel7, on 06/28/2008, -1/+3Anybody who is a fallout fan and has been keeping up with Fallout 3 cannot help but weep as the travesty that is being made by Bethesda.
- Wetzilla, on 06/28/2008, -0/+2I have played and beaten Fallout 1 and 2 multiple times. They are two of my favorite games. I've also played Fallout Tactics, which kept the 3rd person isometric view but sucked. I loved Fallout for the setting, the humor, and the story/characters. If they can keep those things in Fallout 3 then it will be a great sequel in my eyes.
- ligyron, on 06/28/2008, -2/+37That's kind of similar to what they're doing with Starcraft II. Go back, remake everything people like about the game and add stuff everyone's been asking for over the years. All in a nice new 3d environment that's faster and more efficient.
- Namaha, on 06/28/2008, -0/+24And that's why blizzard has remained successful.
- therightclique, on 06/28/2008, -16/+1Here's the problem with your ***** logic. Star Craft II looks EXACTLY like the Star Craft universe. Diablo III looks like the Warcraft 3 / WoW universe. Its a ***** shame. I assume they're intending on merging the franchises at some point.
- kerosion, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5Diablo III looks like an updated improvement of Diablo II. Warcraft has a PG13ish cartoon quality to it. Diablo III is showcasing a darker vibe overall. The boss at the end splitting open and gushing blood down its body after dropping below a set point in health just isn't the type of thing I'd ever expect shown in WoW.
- red8316, on 06/28/2008, -5/+10I think this is what Fallout fans would have liked to see as well. A highly updated version. Congrats Diablo fans.
- diggthis123, on 06/28/2008, -1/+2Man this looks good, the sound and graphics are sweet.
- Vindexus, on 06/28/2008, -12/+4Anybody else think it's too cartoony for Diablo?
- therightclique, on 06/28/2008, -4/+2YES!! ***** yes... Diablo is supposed to be dark and drippy and filthy and scary. This is ***** Windwaker compared to Diablo 2.
- poturta, on 06/29/2008, -0/+5not sure which trailer you watched but the one I watched looked a lot like D2 and nothing even close to wind waker
- m3mph1s, on 06/28/2008, -1/+29This will be the first game I actually purchase since Diablo II.
- AncientWeird, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2Did you count all the times you had to buy Diablo II again.
I know I've had to rebuy it a few times. - Kentdigg, on 08/30/2008, -0/+1Haha this is all too true.
- AncientWeird, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2Did you count all the times you had to buy Diablo II again.
- NecroSexy, on 06/28/2008, -1/+11Is that Diablo in the cinematic trailer? Looks like the Balrog from the first Lord of the Rings movie.
- kerosion, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5Will be interesting to see how they expand the lore behind the Diablo universe. Of 7 Evil's discussed in the earlier Diablo games. the Prime Evils Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal are dead, as are the Lesser Evils Andariel and Duriel. Azmodan and Belial, who ejected Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, out of Hell are still alive, having never been shown in the game. I'm presuming the demon shown in the trailer is one of these two, but then we have artwork like http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/_images/artwork/ss ... . Is that Lilith? New boss? So many options. =)
- Oniobn, on 06/29/2008, -1/+0Lilith was already in Diablo 2.
- medfreak, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2I assumed the prime evils were never killed, just further banished.
- SuperWinner, on 06/29/2008, -1/+11***** I'm still playing Diablo II
- futebollounge, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1aww i found your comment. "i really enjoying" you got 300+ diggs for that. i still enjoyed it and the timing was good.
- Jhiaxuz, on 06/28/2008, -1/+108Don't fix what ain't broken. Except make it more pretty.

- Jsoul87, on 06/28/2008, -13/+1176The fact that it's Diablo 3 and not World of Diablo is a huge relief.
- khuongsta, on 06/28/2008, -7/+162amen... now lets just hope theres no monthly fees of any kind for D3
- kinseyincanada, on 06/28/2008, -5/+116there is no way they are going to charge for online for this, its Battle.net it has to be free
- mizatt, on 06/28/2008, -4/+12Honestly, I hope there are. Not as steep as Diablo 3, but if I had a choice between paying a fee for stability or having Diablo 2 era battle.net, I'd pay the fee
- DalamarArgent, on 06/28/2008, -2/+2@mizatt
Umm, Diablo 2's Battle.Net was much more stable than WoW. - WildTurkey101, on 06/29/2008, -6/+1@Dalamar
You are a ***** idiot, of course your gameplay sucked because you tried to run this ***** on a 486DX33 you asshat - seraph582, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3HAH! Like monthly fees were what was wrong w/ WoW LOL
- moush, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1Monthly fees have nothing to do with "server stability" it has to do with raking in more money from gullible players.
- medfreak, on 06/28/2008, -3/+84I hope they preserve a complete stand alone single player experience as well.
- tallassrob, on 06/28/2008, -1/+35The FAQ on blizzard.com/diablo3 confirms you can still play the game single player.
- medfreak, on 06/28/2008, -15/+3But they never said if you could play the whole game including the final end boss as a stand alone game. It will probably be so, but I just need to hear the confirmation first.
- estvir, on 06/28/2008, -1/+30I really can't imagine Blizzard gimping the SP part in anyway like that. Seriously..
- claypool2008, on 06/28/2008, -3/+9It's a valid concern I think. Given what the original Blizzard North (now Flagship) did with HG:L (gimping Single Player patches behind the pay-to-play multiplayer stuff).
Hopefully Blizzard realizes what a trainwreck that turned into for Flagship and doesn't try to create a "revenue mode" that involves holding content and fixes hostage for a monthly fee.
- Sabretou, on 06/28/2008, -3/+34Yeah well, WarCraft also did with 3 games before an MMORPG. Not suggesting anything here, just saying.
- BestJaxx, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4They already have a successful MMORPG. I don't think many people want to play two.
- Coercion, on 06/28/2008, -20/+6and i was hoping for World of Starcraft : /
- ronaldst, on 06/28/2008, -8/+2Me too. I wanted a Zerg fury warrior. :(
- PhishTahko, on 06/28/2008, -8/+21You go to hell and you die. Both of you. Warcraft got ***** over already, keep your mits the hell off Starcraft and Diablo.
- Wetzilla, on 06/28/2008, -7/+9How exactly did World of Warcraft "***** over" Warcraft? If anything it added more to the lore of the game, and is opening opportunities if warcraft 4 ever comes out.
- AndeyM, on 06/28/2008, -5/+0ummmmm....once blizz finishes all of the expansions, all of the major bosses in warcraft lore will be dead. warcraft is a lost cause. i would be pissed as hell if the same happened to diablo or starcraft.
- Incomp3tnt, on 06/28/2008, -5/+2Wetzilla: Uhh, no... they've totally ***** the Warcraft Lore. Added a load of ***** that was never in the books or any part of the game. Blizzard don't care about lore anymore, WoW is just their bread earner.
- Wetzilla, on 06/28/2008, -0/+11Yeah, that would suck if the major boss in Diablo died, you now, like Diablo? Oh wait, didn't he die in both games? You know what happens when bosses are killed? They make new ones.
And it's called progressing the lore. How can you claim they added "*****" when they were the ones that created all the lore in the first place? How is anything they added in WoW any more ***** than anything they added in Warcraft 3? - Edrick, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5It's ok Wetzilla, Digg just hates WoW for no good reason.
- PhishTahko, on 06/29/2008, -1/+0Warcraft started off as an RTS. Then blizzard switched it to MMORPG, meaning I won't get to play it ever again since I refuse to pay a fee to play something I paid for already. Aside from that, I don't like MMORPG's, so Warcraft is dead to me.
- Alegoo92, on 06/28/2008, -19/+8I was actually hoping for a "World of Diablo"-esque game. But this still looks great.
- Fozefy, on 06/28/2008, -2/+4Go play WoW?
- seraph582, on 06/29/2008, -3/+1he said "world of diablo." not "world of warcraft."
Go ***** yourself?
- Eucolastic, on 06/28/2008, -16/+1*****

- TheSubtleHacker, on 06/30/2008, -0/+0Uhh, is it too much to get a PC, instead? By the time Diablo 3 even starts cluing to it's own release, you should have enough time to have saved for upgrades anyway.
- Pake, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4You can say that again!
- noerrorsfound, on 06/29/2008, -0/+4The fact that it's Diablo 3 and not World of Diablo is a huge relief.

- mike4410, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1ditto
- thinsoldier, on 06/30/2008, -1/+2My eyes might be playing tricks by I'd swear I see bits and pieces of world of warcraft textures in there. Especially in the wilderness areas. And the characters and environment polycount are surprisingly low. There's a World of Diablo coming 4 years after they release D3.
- khuongsta, on 06/28/2008, -7/+162amen... now lets just hope theres no monthly fees of any kind for D3

- bagelmaster, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4They take ages because they make sure that all of their games are the highest quality games on the PC. Why do you think so many people love Blizzard (some people have more of a love/hate relationship after WoW...)?

- selfdisplaced, on 06/28/2008, -9/+6that WitchDoctor seems to be somewhat similar to the Necromancer in Guild Wars, whatever it's Diablo ***** III
- darkstar949, on 06/28/2008, -0/+13Also vaguely similar to the Necromancer is Diablo II - makes me wonder if the Necromancer is going to be coming back or not though if that is the case. Looks like it might be unlikely which just means that the Sorcerer, Amazon, Assassin, Paladin, and Druid are unaccounted for. Since only three more are going to be announced, my best guess is that the Sorcerer, Paladin, form of a hybrid Amazon-something class.
- twiztidsinz, on 06/28/2008, -1/+5Assassazon?
Druimancer?
Necrodin? - selfdisplaced, on 06/28/2008, -1/+5as long as i have someone that is good with bow, i'm set.
- Wetzilla, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5The Witch Doctor seems like a cross between the druid (minus shape shifting) and the Necromancer, so I bet both of those are out. There will probably be the paladin, sorcerer, and a combination Amazon/Assassin for the remaining classes.

- had3l, on 06/28/2008, -10/+4Well, diablo3.com was the giveaway.
- Timmyftw, on 06/28/2008, -2/+11no it wasnt. Blizzard also have diablo4.com diablo5.com and i believe diablo6.com also parked. The give away was that Lich king was announced around a year ago.
- cJw314, on 06/28/2008, -5/+4no doubt; diablo 3 was registered in like 1998. lol
- Pake, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4cJw, it was registered by someone else way back then, but Blizzard only recently bought it.
That however didn't mean they'd make the game, seeing as they've had the rights for a movie with the title "Diablo" for quite a handful of years (Since D2 at the least). - flameboy, on 06/28/2008, -1/+2diablo3.com wasnt always owned by blizzard until recently

- 1stJonnyDee, on 06/28/2008, -2/+9It's not naysaying. It just seemed more likely it was WotLK than D3 if you go by the ice theme in the splash screens. Blizzard loves misdirection in their teases. That's the lesson we should have all learned by now.
WotLK, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3....Blizzard now officially owns my ass. - Rodalli, on 06/28/2008, -1/+10Internet retards. Common sense to anyone who considers themselves a gamer -> You can't announce a game that has already been announced!

- Setter, on 06/28/2008, -2/+8We're discussing Diablo 3 - there's no need to disparage Hammer's dance moves in this conversation. Besides, I don't think the Hammer Dance is that gay.
- winampman2, on 06/28/2008, -26/+7but but everyone said it was the lich king!
- Elliottx, on 06/28/2008, -7/+80I was hoping they'd keep the isometric view.
I really hope it's not a Pay2Play game. Buy the game, sure, pay for Battle.net, no thank you. C'mon Blizz, keep the good news rolling!- estvir, on 06/28/2008, -4/+20It'll stay free.
- veilrap, on 06/28/2008, -4/+7Actually you don't know that.
- CanadaMan87, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4There's no reason for it to be Pay-to-play. With battle.net, you host your own games, right?
- gfnw, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5It will be free to play.
BUTT OMGZ U DUN NO DAT!!!??
Yeah I do. I know that Blizzard aren't retarded. - LucasJ218, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4@CanadaMan87: Actually wrong.
It will be free because all of Blizzard's battle.net games are free. However, they have a closed battle.net which is their own servers running the online play and there is an open battle.net which is p2p and in which you can take your single player characters online with friends. The problem with playing in open is cheating runs rampant and you can use a character editor/mess with files to max out your character in pretty much every way imaginable.
I don't, however, know if there will be an open bettle.net option for D3. I can only assume. - Pedlya, on 06/28/2008, -3/+1Love the condescending ***** sound in your writing LucasJ218
- LucasJ218, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1I'm not sure why you're getting dugg down - I spend the majority of my time being a condescending *****.
- NightRiderkami, on 06/28/2008, -15/+3Really? maybe it's just me but the isometric view put off the whole game for me. Wouldn't it be nicer to have a fully 3D camera like in wow?
- ParaSwarm, on 06/28/2008, -3/+9Haha, no. You even played any of the previous games? Enough WoW talk.
- elrac, on 06/28/2008, -1/+7no
- XVampireX, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3the isometric view IS the reason why Diablo exists, and if you try to look around you'll see so many diablo clones, all of them isometric, except dungeon siege 2 which tried to balance, it was not bad but its engine just wasn't efficient for what it did...
- alexk747, on 06/28/2008, -13/+11a fully 3d camera is just not diablo, stick to what the fans like i mean alot of ppl, ALOT would be dissapointed if the game was in 3d
- AirRaven, on 06/28/2008, -3/+3...Nobody's forcing you to play the game.
If having tileset-based graphics get you jollies on, stick to Diablo 2. The rest of us are a tad partial to games looking good. - poturta, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3Last I checked D3 has a physics model meaning the camera is 3d just stuck looking at the world in an isometric angle. Also there is no way you could play D3 in a 1st person view probably not even a 3rd person over the shoulder veiw wouldn't work with the amount of enemies there will be coming from every which way
- Kypt, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2I don't mind the lack of isometric view, however keep them random generated and that's Diabloish enough for me!
- XVampireX, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2I wouldn't say most people would be disappointed, some people would actually want to know how it would be like to play Diablo in 3D but it's true, isometric view made diablo what it is today...
- AirRaven, on 06/28/2008, -3/+3...Nobody's forcing you to play the game.
- ParaSwarm, on 06/28/2008, -1/+18Dude, when have you ever had to pay to play on battle.net? Give me a break.
- shekki, on 06/28/2008, -0/+7thats why i never got into WoW, which maybe is a good thing. I feel like i wasted so many hours hunting down SoJs
- kerosion, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3A large part of Blizzards success as a company was its free-to-play Battle.net model, and they've expressed their understanding of this in interviews over the years. With World of Warcraft raking in profits the company is in the best position its ever been in to host Battle.net for the community. They haven't reinvented the wheel as far as the game goes, I don't see them reinventing terms of play.
- thugbrian1, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1I hope they have an optional premium battle.net account so that blizzard has an incentive to providing a lag free battle.net experience. I lost too many hardcore character simply due to lag and server bumps.
- XVampireX, on 06/29/2008, -2/+1Don't play hardcore on the server, it's never efficient and never will be...
- moush, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1I never lagged on bnet, maybe you should get a better internet.
- thugbrian1, on 07/02/2008, -0/+0Its hard to blame my internet connection when everyone on bnet or everyone in the same game gets kicked at the same time. Blizzards old bnet servers used to be very unforgiving back in the day, it has been several years since i've played on bnet.
- estvir, on 06/28/2008, -4/+20It'll stay free.
- kinseyincanada, on 06/28/2008, -3/+242and my mouse will now hate me.
- Gregus1032, on 06/28/2008, -10/+33mice*
- Sabretou, on 06/28/2008, -1/+77Blizzard ought to release a collector's edition that comes with three or four extra mice.
- antiorblkflag9, on 06/28/2008, -13/+2After you smash the first three because of lag.
- Incomp3tnt, on 06/28/2008, -0/+8I dunno about you but I've never had a problem with latency on Battle.net
- therightclique, on 06/28/2008, -12/+1That doesn't even make sense as a joke. No single game has ever worn out a mouse. If you broke a mouse, it is because you are a ***** that can't figure out how to push a button.
- benologist, on 06/28/2008, -1/+5Clearly you three don't love Diablo. It's also very obvious you had deprived childhoods and never got to experience the 1000-clicks-a-minute fun of Diablo.
- Pedlya, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4therightclique, How could you possibly know that "No single game has ever worn out a mouse."
- otros, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1My brother broke two mouses (what's the plural of mouse?) playing XCOM 1, so there.
- reidjm, on 06/29/2008, -2/+3whats the plural of mouse? mice, dumbass.
- MrGreencastle, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2I'm pretty sure it's acceptable to use both when referring to computer mouses. I personally say mouses to avoid confusion with the rodent counterpart and because mouse is an acronym for "Manually Operated User Selection Equipment", but then I guess it's already plural... haha.
Edit: Looks like some other people say "mouse devices" instead... included good old Wikipedia ;)

- equinoxChild, on 06/28/2008, -1/+3yea, necromancer is sooo last sequel!
- mustang460, on 06/28/2008, -1/+7they said the inclusion of the witch doctor won't prevent them from adding the necromancer
the witch doctor seems more like the druid anyway with pets, disease spells, and elemental spells
only thing linking it more to the necro is the ghoul wall thing
necro was always my favorite class, but I'm happy to see 5 new ones instead - puttly, on 06/28/2008, -1/+3Actually they said that the Witch doctor does not replace the necromancer... the witch doctor is a more support based character.. healing and such. However they didn't comment on bringing the necro back
- Corsair970, on 06/28/2008, -2/+6I really loved my classic Necro character. I'm kinda disappointed with the witch doctor replacing him.
- Cyrus042, on 06/28/2008, -0/+4It's obvious that the Witchdoctor is a bit of the Druids summoning / nature abilities and the Necromancers curses / bone skills at the same time. I wouldn't imagine seeing another summoning class.

- UtopiaInTheSky, on 06/28/2008, -14/+16Actually, I vehemently dislike the graphics. Looks like WC3. Looks like StarCraft 2. Too vividly colored and cartoony. They've totally destroyed the graphical theme of the original Diablo games. It matters very little anyway, since no one plays Diablo for the graphics!
- estvir, on 06/28/2008, -5/+12Exactly. Diablo wasn't cartoony, SC was a tiny bit, but Diablo, no freaking way.

Or at least, I'm hoping, but I don't really mind either way. I've also always had the mindset that games should have a wider color palette than brown, light shades of brown, dark shades of brown, sun shining in for bloom, more brown, some gray, and some more gray. - Narishma, on 06/28/2008, -4/+2You can't expect graphics like those in Diablo 2 in a 3D game if you want it to run on regular computers.
- NathanielJ, on 06/28/2008, -2/+9I'm confused... you don't like the graphics because they use colours other than brown and gray? Seriously, if you want the game to look like it does in that "how it should look like" section of the image you posted, just put some nylons over your computer monitor or turn the contrast way down. Same effect.
- praisethelard, on 06/28/2008, -2/+7Heaven forbid we can actually tell what's going on in the game.
- winampman2, on 06/28/2008, -2/+2its still a few years before this game will be released. SC2 will probably come out first.
so the graphics could still change between now and release. - d0onut, on 06/28/2008, -2/+3The dark, "world-is-gray-and-brown" environment is what drove me away from Diablo and onto Nox. I'm glad it's got more color.
- estvir, on 06/28/2008, -5/+12Exactly. Diablo wasn't cartoony, SC was a tiny bit, but Diablo, no freaking way.
- drudometkin, on 06/28/2008, -4/+4I plan on getting my g/f to play

- UtopiaInTheSky, on 06/28/2008, -14/+16Actually, I vehemently dislike the graphics. Looks like WC3. Looks like StarCraft 2. Too vividly colored and cartoony. They've totally destroyed the graphical theme of the original Diablo games. It matters very little anyway, since no one plays Diablo for the graphics!
- skaldicpoet9, on 06/28/2008, -25/+6Another Warcraft game? Check.
Another Starcraft game? Check.
Another Diablo game? Check.
A new IP......

...it would be awesome if Blizz made a new franchise.- NinjaNato, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1I like it that Blizzard is building on (now classic) games like Starcraft and Diablo. I hope they bring out Diablo 4 and Starcraft 3 too, they'd kick just as much ass as this will.
- medfreak, on 06/28/2008, -2/+2Well since we are getting it at a pace of once every decade, I would consider every release an IP on its own.
- twiztidsinz, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4If it ain't broke.. don't fix it.
Looking at the sheer number of people who still play Diablo/Warcraft/Starcraft I do not see a problem with their plans of releasing quality sequels. - TotalHalibut, on 06/28/2008, -1/+4Works for Nintendo...

I think sorcerer/sorceress will be back.- Gregus1032, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5if the necromancer is back i will be happy.
paladin and necromancer were the 2 most fun classes in the game. - Tugsy, on 06/28/2008, -6/+0Reading the D3 site gives the impression the witchdoctor is the new summoning class. My guess on the five classes would be:
Barbarian
Witch Doctor
Paladin
Ranger
Assassin - moush, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1@Tugsy
I think They'll combine the Zon + Assassin and keep a magic casting class of some kind.
- Gregus1032, on 06/28/2008, -0/+5if the necromancer is back i will be happy.
- frishdude, on 06/28/2008, -2/+5that would fail pretty hard

Er... but even better would be one an FPS based on The Gunslinger.- thinsoldier, on 06/30/2008, -1/+1As much as I love FPS, I think an rpg would be better. (the cell-phone port could be kinda like Blackthorne maybe?)

- ThexSoulforged, on 06/28/2008, -10/+7Thank god for blizzard coming out of this WoW-*****-hole. Finally a new game on the market that requires skill; not endless self-playing soft RPG *****.
- Zpanzer, on 06/28/2008, -1/+9wouldnt it a tad to soon to say that it will require a skill since you havent played it yet? I played Diablo 2 LOD when I was like what? 10-12 years old and I still managed to get a lvl 99 amazon.
- enignock, on 06/28/2008, -1/+12Cmon, I love Diablo as much as the next guy but it isn't exactly brain surgery.
- Tyrghast, on 06/28/2008, -10/+3You people act like WoW is a bad game, which it isn't. If you have problems with WoW, then you probably rolled Alliance, or you couldn't handle an MMO and got too sucked in. All-in-all, if Diablo 3 manages to be as good as the first two games, that will be impressive, considering the team that developed the game left Blizzard.
- TheSlinky, on 06/28/2008, -3/+7People have opinions, you can't expect everybody to like WoW. Attributing our dislike of a game to getting too sucked in or rolling a character on the wrong faction is absolute idiocy. Some of us think WoW is a bad game, deal with it.
- Tyrghast, on 06/28/2008, -7/+3@ TheSlinky
Absolute idiocy is calling a game as complex as WoW a bad game. Not only that, but having played WoW from its original incarnation to it's current one, it has changed almost entirely from it's original state to it's current one. World of Warcraft is by no logical person's reasoning a bad game. It's an accomplishment. Maybe you have had bad experiences with MMO's in the past, and that has jaded you. Maybe you dislike Blizzards caving in to the 'casual gamer'. In any case, 10 million passionate fans disagree with you, people from all walks of life all around the world, and when you can reach that many fans with a single title, you're doing something right. - Seemefearme, on 06/28/2008, -2/+6Dugg down for calling WoW complex. ROFL.
- Tyrghast, on 06/28/2008, -4/+2@ Seemefearme
Well I'm not saying it's EvE Online or anything, but if you played WoW back in the beginning you'd remember the first few hard months before the massive infrastructure of players began working with each other and you'd remember when everyone was just beginning to figure everything out. - TheSlinky, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1@ Tyrghast
Is that what your definition of a good game is? Being changing and complex? Well I can list a lot of changing and complex games that are considered by most people bad games. What makes a good game is simple: how fun it is. Not once while playing WoW did I have any fun. The constant grinding, farming for new gear, etc. is not what I would consider fun and therefore WoW is not a good game in my opinion. At least I recognise that some people might think WoW is a great game, you on the other hand assert that everyone MUST agree with you and THAT is what makes you an idiot. - thinsoldier, on 06/30/2008, -1/+1WoW is not fun. Unless you have "friends". I think a group of friends could suddenly decide to to play ugly second life at the same time and have almost the same amount of "fun"
FYI Blizzard could increase their subscriptions by 30% if they somehow made split screen play on a single system possible... after all, we do have 2,3,and 4 video card quad core systems these days.
