- greenroom628, on 06/28/2008, -7/+3really? wow, first a home made porn movie, now a shot at being the next tommy lee? verne's not doin' so bad...
- Blackham, on 06/29/2008, -1/+5I finally forgot the image of him being in the porn movie, and you just bring it all back...
- freak3295, on 06/29/2008, -1/+4mini me is busy getting laid, as we all know
- greenroom628, on 06/28/2008, -7/+3really? wow, first a home made porn movie, now a shot at being the next tommy lee? verne's not doin' so bad...
- virginian9000, on 06/28/2008, -13/+53That's amazing!
- prodigy13, on 06/28/2008, -1/+15Just look at how easy he makes it seems as well...
- dlite922, on 06/29/2008, -5/+8OR...it shows there's not much to it.
Just bang on it and it will come out right.- ruddy, on 06/29/2008, -0/+5thats what SHE said!
- bluenash, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1That's how you raise up a Jack Conte.
- SuicideMouse, on 06/29/2008, -4/+2The kids has some good timing, however he doesn't have to work his feet on the bass and hihat. That seriously makes a big difference. Not to mention that it's a pretty simple song for the hand work at least.
I don't mean to put the kid down, I can see him going somewhere with this or any other instrument as he seems to have timing down. It's practice and a love for what he's doing that he needs if he wants to be a musician.
But who the ***** knows, this kid is two. He might want to be a doctor or something. - xanadu2113, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2def lepperd's drummer only has one arm
- SubaruPowah, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1What has 9 arms and sucks?
- yaddayaddayoda, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2Sammy Davis, Jr. only had one eye.
- mcfly99, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1His skillz AND his shirt were both pretty sweet
- prodigy13, on 06/28/2008, -7/+50Innate ability or learned? That's what I want to know.
- Iztikeit, on 06/29/2008, -6/+5I think that's a very obvious answer.
- dvicklund, on 06/29/2008, -12/+4I wanted to post this to say that I was planning on making a comment about how, "duh, his dad's a drummer, you're stupid, blah blah blah," until I realized that you were obviously being facetious. Now, I want to make clear that I did not accidentally already post this before realizing the reality of your hilarious joke, I just wanted to admit to my own stupidity, even if it flashed for only an instance. It keeps me humble.
...Also, I'm high and have nothing better to do. - BrendanSheehan, on 06/29/2008, -1/+15The obvious answer is both.
- vat0r, on 06/29/2008, -0/+4obviously
- zdiddy85, on 06/29/2008, -0/+17Here's my two-cents:
He's sitting on his dad's lap, who is running the bass drum. So he's bouncing with the beat already, therefore just hits the drums at the same tempo. Still, very talented indeed. Hope he sticks with it.- latinjones, on 06/29/2008, -0/+21I know you weren't trying to discredit the kid or anything but let me talk him up a bit more.
Do you have kids or have you spent much time with 2 year olds? They typically don't have much in the way of rhythm. I've never personally met a 2 year old that even clap to the beat for more than 3 seconds... - kyle415, on 06/29/2008, -9/+1ok. the dad is playing the kick and the snare. he is doing all the rhythm. all the baby is doing is hitting cymbals randomly.
- ryancxx, on 06/29/2008, -0/+5The dad is only playing the kick. You can see the dads left hand around the kid a bit past the beginning of the video.
- vangard, on 06/29/2008, -0/+8Latinjones i think is right. Not only that, the kid appears to do some 8th notes and fills. He's not simply hitting straight to the rhythm of the bass drum. There's definitely talent there.
- Shaderone, on 06/29/2008, -0/+11Yeah, the kid's hitting a few off-beat snare shots to jazz up the drums, and he's really hitting them with great timing. Additionally, I don't think there was anything wrong with the timing of the cymbals and crashes. For the one, he slowed down slightly towards the end of the song, but he kept all the cymbals properly spaced, and he always used the crash around the end of each bar.
- IanPR, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3Try to throw a ball to a 2 year old and see if they can catch it.
It shows how much hand eye coordination they really have.
Seriously, this drummer is much better than me. :X
And THATS why I play guitar instead.
- latinjones, on 06/29/2008, -0/+21I know you weren't trying to discredit the kid or anything but let me talk him up a bit more.
- michaelwong38, on 06/28/2008, -8/+16John Bonham 2
- Aikidi, on 06/29/2008, -1/+12jason bonham admittedly is probably offended by this remark
- VegaObscura, on 06/29/2008, -0/+5No. Everyone claims "Jimmy Page Jr. or Jimmy Page 2" when they see a little guitar whiz. I've had enough of that. This kid will be good. But he will not be Bonzo. He will develop his own style and his own rhythm--and it will not be Bonzo's.
Give credit where credit is do. Bonzo was one of the best. This kid may be great, for sure. He may be one of the best someday--but he will not be Bonzo.- ModernChem, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1I will be sure to give credit where credit is do
- PosedMagnet, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1"I will be sure to give credit where credit is do"
I think I will due that too.
- JRjJ106, on 06/29/2008, -1/+13Wouldn't John Bonham's son, Jason, be John Bonham 2? Especially since Jason has filled in for his dad in Led Zeppelin reunion concerts.
- Shuk, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2Or Jason Bonham's bastard child.
- scimitar91, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1This comment wasn't seriously made in ignorance of Jason Bonham was it? He's obviously bonzo 2
- manzplan, on 06/28/2008, -8/+34show off...
- BdON003, on 06/29/2008, -7/+4Yeah, really. I'd like to see him do that while using the bass drum. Everyone knows that is the part that takes skill.
- cypherus, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBK0pphzX38
A challenger appears!- synystar, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1yeah...Julian is awesome! way better than this kid.
- bornahokie, on 06/29/2008, -7/+2cool cool!
- saadshamim, on 06/29/2008, -5/+31probably the coolest kid day care.
- ModernChem, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2@ day care. agreed
- Intamin, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1I dunno, I've seen better day cares.
- invictus13, on 06/29/2008, -16/+4photoshopped . . . uhhh in a video
- mojoface, on 06/29/2008, -16/+3There's some really boring diggs late at night
BTW did anyone notice the new digg layout or is it only me cus I'm special?- pukiman, on 06/29/2008, -4/+2You're just "special". The new layout is like four days old, so nothing new about it.
- MsAntiSunshine, on 06/29/2008, -5/+2There are some really obnoxious comments late at night.
- pukiman, on 06/29/2008, -0/+4I just hit noon, so I buried you (two) for being inaccurate.
- andreeee, on 06/29/2008, -11/+5its ridiculous what you can find on the internets these days
- banik2008, on 06/29/2008, -2/+1Buried for using irritating "internets";
- voetsjoeba, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1.. or 2 years ago
- Uberpog, on 06/29/2008, -9/+274He's already better than nickelback.
- theragu40, on 06/29/2008, -2/+73Yes...but that's not much of a qualifying statement. *Everyone* is better than nickelback, whether they play an instrument or not.
- opmike, on 06/29/2008, -8/+3How about our commander-in-chief?
- Uberpog, on 06/29/2008, -2/+18true
- JRjJ106, on 06/29/2008, -2/+32I hate Nickelback.
- MforMike, on 06/29/2008, -17/+6nickelback is the best band in the whole world. Have you ever listened to their lyrics? they are so true. I listen to nickelback DAY AND NIGHT. and let me just ask you one favor, can you take a look at this photograph?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blackcountry/music/2004/06/ni ...
how is he not the best lead singer ever
GO NICKELBACK- terracottapai, on 06/29/2008, -0/+7You are either the worst troll ever or the most pathetic excuse for a human being I've come across.
- diggproof, on 06/29/2008, -1/+11nickelback is the ***** band in the whole world. Have you ever vomited to their lyrics? They are so truely lame. I hate nickelback DAY AND NIGHT. and let me just ask you one favor, can you tell me why this guy is constipated?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blackcountry/music/2004/06/ni ...
Because he's that guy from nickleback
GO TO HELL NICKELBACK - snowskate22, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2nickelback,,, *shudder*
- daebat, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1hahaha good one
- theragu40, on 06/29/2008, -2/+73Yes...but that's not much of a qualifying statement. *Everyone* is better than nickelback, whether they play an instrument or not.
- yellowfish04, on 06/29/2008, -6/+8That's pretty god damned impressive.
- longcat99, on 06/29/2008, -6/+34thats frickin sweet.. i wish my parents trained me in something amazing that young...
- feanix, on 06/29/2008, -3/+12Saying "trained" makes it seem like something you'd do to a monkey...
- mmmmmbiscuits, on 06/29/2008, -2/+8"Saying "trained" makes it seem like something you'd do to a monkey..."
LOL but that's exactly what it is! He's just been trained to bang some ***** with sticks in the proper sequence. If he's some kind of genius then why is he probably playing riffs with a big load in his diaper? Granted, plenty of drummers from classic rock bands of the 60's and 70's probably have the same problem, but that's another story...
And yet, if his father continues training him then he'll probably have a huge leg up on the other kids who don't start their music lessons until mid to late elementary school. I didn't start piano until the ripe old age of 10 and at youth competitions in my teens I routinely got musical ass-kickings by the kids who had started 4+ years earlier.
- KittySpark1es, on 06/29/2008, -10/+12I keep trying to find a way that this is fake....but it's not happening. Holy crap that kid is amazing.
- LaerrusFish, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1funny you got negged for that. Shows how much people WANT to believe.
- burton3660, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3the sound is way off and sometimes he doesnt even hit the drum
- LaerrusFish, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1funny you got negged for that. Shows how much people WANT to believe.
- DefaultGen, on 06/29/2008, -4/+57I bet he can already pass Run to the Hills.
- loudog, on 06/29/2008, -13/+2Easy with the Maiden jokes......
- punjab551, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3***** that song on anything above medium.
- idolwalrus, on 06/29/2008, -4/+19Tiger Woods Syndrome
- orenshk, on 06/29/2008, -5/+7When he's three you'll see him playing Battery
- Antonton, on 06/29/2008, -11/+6The next Buddy Rich, perhaps?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUHCWSo9Es4- raydeen, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1I grew up listening to Carl Palmer. When I first heard Buddy I thought 'Wow. He sounds just like Palmer'. About three seconds later I realized my mistake.
- Laminarcissus, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1I used to play in a band where they would introduce the drummer by saying:
"An now, a drummer so authentic he once killed a man for calling him the next Buddy Rich..."
And whatever you do, don't even bring up Gene Krupa. - beauTL, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1There will NEVER be a next Buddy Rich.
- jnuffnuffnomnom, on 06/29/2008, -5/+16Distinct lack of talent shown here. He's no backstreet boy.
- Laminarcissus, on 06/29/2008, -0/+5I agree, what has he done with the last 24 months?
- bhavinp, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1You were just looking to get dugg down weren't you? Don't know what happened.
- Blackham, on 06/29/2008, -3/+129Dad looks so proud :)
- heliox, on 06/29/2008, -17/+2prolly high
- yourmightyruler, on 06/29/2008, -0/+11High on life.
- Hotei, on 06/29/2008, -4/+11That's the kinda Dad i'm aspiring to be! Note to self buying a console and a copy of Guitar Hero won't cut it.
- mortalwind, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3Yeah no doubt right, it couldnt hurt though.
- Thomaschaaf, on 06/29/2008, -1/+1Hope to be able to see him in 12 oder 14 years! He'll be like a new Phil Collins or Thomas Lang!
- banik2008, on 06/29/2008, -5/+2What has he done to you for you to want him to become like Phil Collins?
- sl123000, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1Grammar FTW!
- banik2008, on 06/29/2008, -5/+2What has he done to you for you to want him to become like Phil Collins?
- peterjmag, on 06/29/2008, -2/+27He's already better than the rest of the band...
- billyfalconer, on 06/29/2008, -11/+153He'll be deaf by five.
- ryancxx, on 06/29/2008, -3/+20Leave it to digg to act like an 80 year old woman.
- jarklejam, on 06/29/2008, -0/+6Didn't hurt Beethoven.
- goeric, on 06/29/2008, -1/+6Beethoven didn't play drums.
- KingGorilla, on 06/29/2008, -0/+4Wouldn't be cool if he did play drums?
- jarklejam, on 06/30/2008, -1/+1Exactly. What Beethoven accomplished required a lot more than drums do. Drums are the most tactile instrument there is, and there's no tuning. Hearing isn't all that necessary. Thanks for clarifying about Beethoven, though.
- bapplebo, on 06/30/2008, -1/+1You can tune drums.
- Badtastic, on 06/29/2008, -8/+53*cough*
Baby ears are sensitive. How about some earplugs?
.....or do we want to digg a 14 year old prodigy in a couple years who cant hear what he's playing?- latinjones, on 06/29/2008, -1/+11Eh.....hearing your music is overrated. Beethoven went completely deaf and still made some jams (* they were jams back in the day I guess).
- davori, on 06/29/2008, -3/+2Somehow dont see this kid biting the Snare to feel the vibrations...
Badtastic has a good point, drums can seriously ***** up your hearing. I wear sound cancelling headphones and still have slight hearing loss effects after a year and a half (good old iPod volume test ;) )
- davori, on 06/29/2008, -3/+2Somehow dont see this kid biting the Snare to feel the vibrations...
- dafragsta, on 06/29/2008, -0/+8How do you know he doesn't have ear plugs.
- Badtastic, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1Of course, I don't actually know if this talented little kid has earplugs but for his hearings sake and the pleasure of his future public, I hope he does.
- Laminarcissus, on 06/29/2008, -0/+4Noise-related hearing damage is incredibly useful as a rock musician and should be developed as early as possible. It lets you say things like, "sorry luv, but I don't hear so well after the show at Wembley. You're going to have to scoot a little closer. Nope, still can't..."
- latinjones, on 06/29/2008, -1/+11Eh.....hearing your music is overrated. Beethoven went completely deaf and still made some jams (* they were jams back in the day I guess).
- hazza18, on 06/29/2008, -11/+30Anyone is better than Meg White.
- dafragsta, on 06/29/2008, -5/+1It's like she hasn't even tried to really expand her style since the White Stripes blew up.
- ExSlashdotter, on 06/29/2008, -0/+6'expand her style'?
how about 'learn to use her hands and feet at the same time'?
- ExSlashdotter, on 06/29/2008, -0/+6'expand her style'?
- heliox, on 06/29/2008, -1/+5way to rip off a comment
- Greyscale88, on 06/29/2008, -1/+10I love when people bash Meg White, it's sort of like announcing to the world that yr a retard. Meg White drums simple beats because that's what White Stripes songs call for. If you're looking for elaborate fills yr listening to the wrong band.
- stuwanker, on 06/29/2008, -1/+9Yeah, just like how her singing is strained and off-key because that's what White Stripes songs call for.
- Greyscale88, on 06/29/2008, -0/+6She sings on like 2 songs...out of what? 5 albums?
- stuwanker, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3I know, thank heavens!
- dafragsta, on 06/29/2008, -5/+1It's like she hasn't even tried to really expand her style since the White Stripes blew up.
- EnjoyTheFact, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1Wow, he plays better than I ever could.
- Stonekeeper, on 06/29/2008, -2/+62"He's already better than Meg White!"
So am I and I'm a guitarist. Bless her.- Aikidi, on 06/29/2008, -0/+8bless her my ass. she cancelled ACL. and jack wouldnt ***** replace her for the show.
that should have gone down like "hey, of the thousands of drummers here, one of you want to incoherently bang your way through the white stripes set?"
we would have all enjoyed it- Stonekeeper, on 06/30/2008, -0/+2I was being polite. I dugg you up too.
- Aikidi, on 06/29/2008, -0/+8bless her my ass. she cancelled ACL. and jack wouldnt ***** replace her for the show.
- PCLamer, on 06/29/2008, -9/+2buried for emo dad and guitarist.
- ganjaguru, on 06/29/2008, -3/+2For a second there it looked like a ventriloquist and his puppet...
- pandikukka, on 06/29/2008, -1/+4c'mon dont fool yourself
- Mononuclear, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2damn that was good. He even had some good fills there.
- CrazedLeper, on 06/29/2008, -0/+4He really is keeping that rhythm. A great drummer is only a decade away.
- mmmmmbiscuits, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1It could help ever so slightly that the leg he's sitting on is whacking the kick drum every now and then :-)
- rayfiend, on 06/29/2008, -2/+1The X-men are here, and they're on your YouTube.
- IrvineKinneas50, on 06/29/2008, -4/+2Cool kid, but anyone who has ever played a musical instrument can tell that he wasn't playing what you were hearing.
- davori, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2The video is out of sync to the sound. Watch the crash --> ride transitions
- kinseyincanada, on 06/29/2008, -0/+5Jon Bonham Beta
- digitalpencil, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1more like alpha but yeh.
- HenryLegge, on 06/29/2008, -2/+3I love how in the caption is says "he is already better then Meg White" So true.
- katerpilar, on 06/29/2008, -0/+5i still like her
- TheKarmaPolice, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3me too. say what you will about her, but she's good at what she does. the white stripes aren't about intricate drum solos, and she keeps a steady beat and moves the song along.
- itsradBrad, on 06/29/2008, -0/+1The longer and closer I watched the video the more impressive it became.
And I've been playing drums since I was 14. - raydeen, on 06/29/2008, -0/+0Look out Neil Peart, Bill Bruford, Carl Palmer...this kids already as good as Ringo...He's gunning for your asses. :)
In all seriousness, very good. For someone that young to have that much coordination...he's going far.- bryantee, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1No one can touch Ringo. Sure what he plays isn't that hard but there's so much personality to it.
- curiosity0cat, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2This baby rocks!!
- deathcannon, on 06/29/2008, -4/+1Went off time a little bit.
- GentlePacifist, on 06/29/2008, -1/+10God I hate little kids... always so much more talented than me at such a young age.
- IamnotacrookUK, on 06/29/2008, -1/+5i wonder if he's free...
mah band could do with a new drummer... - knegil, on 06/29/2008, -11/+96But, will he blend?
- iPsyko, on 06/29/2008, -1/+20Now i'm going to press the "Baby Food" button.
- Boooohjoke, on 06/29/2008, -0/+20Wooo, baby powder; don't breathe this.
- EwMo, on 06/29/2008, -4/+1*cues dead baby jokes*
- chadell, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2The baby should meet up with Julian Pavone who played drums at 20-month-old and recorded a CD with a record label
http://mpelembe.blogware.com/blog/_archives/2006/3 ... - iadiggs10, on 06/29/2008, -8/+7The bass line is what is making that sound cool. And guess who is playing the bass? Dad.
- LenBaird, on 06/29/2008, -2/+11All he is doing is keeping time with the bass drum. The kid is all over it with the cymbals and the little snare variations.
- heliox, on 06/29/2008, -2/+2ROFL...the kid is hitting the drums and cymbals with the sticks. He is PLAYING them. My dogs could do just as well with thier tails.
- Funkly, on 06/29/2008, -0/+2wow, heliox, not a note playing bit of you is there? The kids is keeping time remarkably well considering hes been on earth less than most of us have been asleep in our lives...
Oh yeh, bass line means the BASS GUITAR line, not the bass drum, i'm not sure which of you mis-spoke above... - LenBaird, on 06/30/2008, -0/+1I assume he meant the bass drum, because that is what the Dad is playing according to my understanding.
- LenBaird, on 06/29/2008, -2/+11All he is doing is keeping time with the bass drum. The kid is all over it with the cymbals and the little snare variations.
- sidian, on 06/29/2008, -1/+6come on.. thats an old trick. its a puppet.
- jturbo, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3Wow, nice job little dude! He's obviously been watching his dad play a fair bit. The kids hearing will most likely be effected, especially at that stage of life though.
- Chilliflame, on 06/29/2008, -3/+2Hello Cleveland!!
- secondfiddle, on 06/29/2008, -1/+25Pssst, its a japanese robot.
