- plimpton777, on 05/17/2008, -2/+8I don't know about Bush being "promised" the presidency, but his cooperation sure didn't hurt his pursuit. The direct beneficiary to the Warren Commission was Gerald Ford, who was just a Congressman at the time. Sure helped his career. Also, Dan Rather was a local newsman, but being one of the people to originally view the Zapruder film in a private setting, and then LYING about what the tape showed, helped his career ascent to the national level. It really is quite telling how many people were rewarded for their cooperation in this cover up.

- ADigbySellers, on 05/17/2008, -7/+1Gee, it really is amazing that the Bushes didn't burn this! As conspirators, they must have overlooked it. Talk about luck. This is a real breakthrough. Wow.
An angry little insignificant troll with a mail order rifle killed a great man and changed history. Kind of boring but that is what the real evidence supports. We all want the truth. Sometimes it isn't very exciting.- spawnfree, on 05/17/2008, -0/+3i think i speak for most with a long hard laugh at this notion.

As 8 year old I saw JFK in person on September 25, 1963. He was our hero and we were devastated at his loss. In a slightly veiled attempt at avenging his murder and getting to the truth I found myself researching EVERY JFK conspiracy theory for just about 40 years.
JFK, RFK, MLK, Fake moon landing, 9-11 take your pick. Throw out an unprovable fabricated factoid and then speculate on the what if's. It's an industry and an outright meal ticket for some. Mark Lane proved this to me at a lecture in 1974 but I looked the other way and continued to believe him and the growing conspiracy community.
I used to believe just about all of it. Now I don't. Not even a little. Finally I am satisfied that we know the truth about what happened and it isn't very complicated. I'm using my brain now instead of my aching heart - but my heart still hurts.

- AlaskaLoneWolf, on 05/17/2008, -2/+2Who's keeping score? Point is, why did it take this long? There must be some sorta money deal waiting in the wings. http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/executiveorder11110. ...- Gumbos, on 05/17/2008, -10/+3So he was killed in 1963 to counter a law that was not changed until 1982?
I wish I could be as insane as conspiracy theorists. It would be fun I think. - elektronjunge, on 05/17/2008, -5/+2You know that thinking this is the reason for assassination or even believing the second story is stupid. It did not go around the federal reserve the U.S.F.G. has always issued certificates for gold (and is still required to do so), they also have the power (from the constitution I might add) to issue certificates for silver.
- Gumbos, on 05/17/2008, -10/+3So he was killed in 1963 to counter a law that was not changed until 1982?
- aajjcckk, on 05/17/2008, -10/+35It's incredible to think that despite all the evidence to the contrary some people still believe JFK was killed by lone gunman Oswald. One can only put it down to ignorance and/or a desperate desire to still see the State as overlord and protector and a force for good.
- QuorumCall, on 05/17/2008, -9/+2Where is said evidence?
I mean, other than the fact that President Kennedy's head moved toward the Texas School Book Depository as a result of blowback caused by a bullet leaving the skull creating a jet propulsion in the direction from which the bullet was fired by a sociopathic former Marine sharpshooter who hated American society and possessed strong marxist sympathies who had defected to the Soviet Union only to be kicked out and return to the United States with an overwhelming feeling to be remembered as a great man in the name of communism who then tried to assassinate a General and then hours later targeted the President who then hours later murdered a police officer.
But that was all just set up by the government, right?- aajjcckk, on 05/17/2008, -2/+2Oh dear. You just don't get it do you?
- QuorumCall, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2Maybe I could "get it" if I were shown some of this much abundant evidence you're proclaiming exists and if you could substantially refute the arguments I've made. Not "isn't this weird?" or "look at this fuzzy photograph" *****, but solid evidence as vivid as Kennedy getting his ***** head blown off.
Maybe you just spend too much time arguing with your parents about getting a job and explaining to them that WOW takes up too much time for you to have a girlfriend, and how it's perfectly fine for a grown man to live in his parents basement.
- QuorumCall, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2Maybe I could "get it" if I were shown some of this much abundant evidence you're proclaiming exists and if you could substantially refute the arguments I've made. - aajjcckk, on 05/17/2008, -2/+2Oh dear. You just don't get it do you?
- RyeBrye, on 05/17/2008, -5/+8Yeah, Hollywood movies are known for their accuracy. I'll take Morgan Freeman's on-screen testimony that Oswald can't possibly fire a rifle so fast as "evidence" that Oswald couldn't have done it - in spite of the fact that I've seen a 60 year old man demonstrate it is quite easy.
The History channel has a pretty thorough - and pretty fair - hour or two long special they air about the assassination. They pretty much debunk all of the Oliver stone crap, and at the end of it the most likely conclusion is also the least exciting conclusion... that Oswald was most likely the culprit.- aajjcckk, on 05/17/2008, -2/+3Who on Earth is talking about a jazzed-up Hollywood movie as the basis for Oswald not being the lone gunman? There's far, FAR more evidence than that. The sad thing is, when most people think of the evidence, they're only aware of the Oliver Stone movie. This is the really sad thing, and it's why I gave ignorance as the prime reason above. It's in exactly the same vein as people thinking 9/11 wasn't an inside job because "Loose Change" can be heavily criticized...
- QuorumCall, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2The Government can kill Kennedy and 3000 innocent civilians on 9/11 and everyone involved, but they can't seem to stop Oliver Stone and a few hippie pot heads who think they are the foremost experts on controlled demolitions.
Yeah, right. - savanttm, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1"but they can't seem to stop..."
In a world where everyone is free to speak but nobody seeks truth, those who speak truth cannot be silenced but neither can those who speak lies. Your skepticism is based on the fallacy that the government believes controlling people who speak the truth is more important than preventing people from seeking the truth.
A whistleblower with nothing but their word may have enough to convict a criminal in the court of public opinion, but to actually hold someone responsible for their crimes requires power and authority to collect evidence and present the case against the accused.

- jerrycurley, on 05/17/2008, -7/+3Actually, you stupid *****...the REAL evidence proves that every single wound came from a bullet that was fired from the SAME location. So if you are going to suggest that there were two gunmen, then they were standing right next to each other.
- aajjcckk, on 05/17/2008, -2/+5Ah, the joyous tinkle of your words "stupid *****" gives SO much more weight to your argument, along with the righteous anger behind it, that means, with all that emotion, you simply must be right! (Hollywood would be proud).

And surely you are smart enough to know htat all the actual evidnece points to a single gunman. Or at least that every bullet's trajectory can be traced back to the same window.
And seriously...the fact that you are also a 9/11 troofer proves that you are not interested in facts. Just being the little bitch that you are and complaining about he governemtn at every turn.

@QuorumCall, Well the Government is certainly capable of performing an assassination or something on the scale of 9/11 (not saying that did or not), but in regards to saying how can they pull that off and not silence the critics? The answer is simple, they just don't care. As long as "truthers" are made out to be a bunch of crazy hippies, people just dismiss what they say as crazy conspiracy theories and paranoid delusions. Why would the government be scared of what a bunch of paranoids think. It's like ufo people. Assuming it's real why hasn't the government killed all the UFO junkies? it's because they are all made out to be crazy. Talking about UFO.s is like an instant - "I have no credibility" ticket. Same as with the topic of JFK and 9/11 - scaaven2, on 05/17/2008, -1/+1How do you explain the Jack Ruby loose end if this was a conspiracy? Wouldn't the government (US, Cuba, or Russia, depending on your flavor) kill him if he was involved?
- QuorumCall, on 05/17/2008, -9/+2Where is said evidence?
- gklitt, on 05/17/2008, -0/+17Whether or not you believe the conspiracy theories, this is definitely an invaluable resource for examining the whole incident.

So, after you've all got excited wetting your little panties, can you now provide a tidbit of proof (that didn't come from the neocon media preferably) that Daddy Bush wasn't involved? I am a 23 year old housewife with two young sons and a wonderful husband. I'm writing because I want you to know I'm on your side. Perhaps because you have no family of your own, you put your devotion into President Kennedy and his family. If anyone harmed one of my family, in my grief and anger I'm sure I'd try to hurt them back. I understand your kind of emotion and you have received very unfair publicity...
Mr. Ruby, I do so share your feelings and emotions. Please know that my prayers and thoughts will be with you during the difficult days of your trial. God understands your motivations, surely we can too. Good luck to you.
Most sincerely,
Mrs. John R. Kent"- lhbaker, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1There are tons of those. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/img/02 ...

- MortalynFlux, on 05/17/2008, -9/+4I don't believe Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK from the 6th floor museum (known as a textbook depository at the time). Anyone who has played Halo that peers through the window and then goes down to the grassy knoll which is flanked by a waist-high wall will concur. The window is just a horrible position to shoot in the direction of the white painted X on elm street that stupid naive tourists stand on to get their picture taken while crazy Dallas drivers are trying to get to work. The wall, however, would be an ideal location to kneel behind and shoot aliens driving down the elm street (assuming this was the setting for a Halo game).
Having said that, I realized after some time living in Dallas that Dallas benefits from the controversy monetarily in the form of tourism dollars. A lot of tourism dollars, bringing money to downtown restaurants and businesses. There were so many people coming to visit Dealy plaza that Dallas County decided to turn the Old Red Courthouse into a museum and created a plaza next to it. There’s only so many tourists that you can fit on a grassy knoll, and I sometimes fear that they will spill over into the street and get seriously hurt.
So obviously Dallas wants to keep the controversy going. I think the only reason these documents were kept the secret is because it showed Henry Wade’s greed and opportunism, as he was trying to get a movie deal. The new democrat DA, having no political ties to former republican DA’s, had nothing to lose from publishing the documents. So he published them in the best interest of downtown businesses and the new museum they remodeled. - gr00vy, on 05/17/2008, -7/+2Holy Crap! Someone shot JFK???? I hope they kill the SOB that did that.

- swrostmore, on 05/17/2008, -0/+10Section 20, pdf 112 has an anonymous letter to the DA warning not to hold Ruby's trial in Dallas, because he was certain to be assassinated by organized crime in the area.

- pjpark, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2Documents were found "in a little-known vault in his office?" The vault in my office is quite famous--you've probably heard of it: Its name is Bernard.

- scaaven2, on 05/17/2008, -5/+3Oswald did it.
- p51d007, on 05/17/2008, -5/+2Had Kennedy lived and not been assassinated, he would have probably been defeated in 64 because of the bay of pigs and Vietnam. He was (sorry to say this) one of the worst presidents who did nothing (except for the Cuban missile crisis), but, being assassinated, he has now become a "saint" with those on the left.
No wonder Bill "I can't keep my pants zipped up" Clinton liked him so much. He screwed around on his wife too. But at least Kennedy's wife was a hell of a lot better looking than Hillary.- zspitfire04, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2You sir, are an idiot.

- DarkReign16, on 05/17/2008, -0/+6Oh, and by the way. Here's what the committee ACTUALLY concluded, in it's entirety.
The Committee investigated until 1978, and in 1979 issued its final report, concluding that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, probably as a result of a conspiracy. The members of this probable conspiracy were not identified. However, the committee noted that it believed that the conspiracy did not include the governments of the Soviet Union or Cuba, nor the FBI, the CIA, or the Secret Service. It also stated it did not believe the conspiracy was organized by any organized crime group, nor any anti-Castro group, but that it could not rule out individual members of either of those groups acting together.- zspitfire04, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2So Soviet Union hits up Castro, Castro hits up Mafia Boss. Boss has inside connections to FBI, CIA, and SS.Gets it all set up, shoots him from the Grassy Noll and frames Oswald??

- lhbaker, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5You know, for all of you burying this as conspiracy fodder, this material is far more important from a historical perspective. This is lost history, and so far some of it's pretty fascinating (Gushing fan letters to Jack Ruby!). Get over yourselves.

Watch the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WCc_y5k0n8
Note: The driver out of all the people, turns around in his seat 2-3 seconds before JFK gets shot in the head and then turns back as if he saw nothing. Video disclosed by William Cooper - he gave his life to show you this.
If you want to know how and why, youtube William Cooper.
RIP Bill.- ADigbySellers, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1Uh, he heard the first shot coming from behind. Just like Connelly heard it and was turning around to look behind when he got shot. The driver actuall hit the brakes prior to the head shot because he saw Clint Hill running towards the back of the car.
"....and then turns back as if he saw nothing". WTF???
He was driving the car with the president in it! He damn well better be looking forward!

- ADigbySellers, on 05/18/2008, -2/+0Criminy! This conspriacy theory game has gotten to the point where the Dallas Morning News gets an "exclusive" story on "missing" new evidence that was "lost" in the DA's "little known" vault. Rather than the DA doing something constructive this "new evidence" they share the story with the paper and the paper asks the readers to figure it all out! (aka Let's sell some papers) I'm surprised that they didn't make this into a flippin' crossword puzzle!
- setec, on 05/18/2008, -2/+1Why must everything be a conspiracy? Why must Digg be used to further every nut job conspiracy out there? Oswald did this. Simple. Get over it already.
