Ford Dealership Tells Non-Christians "Sit down and Shutup"
undergroundunbeliever.blogspot… — In a radio advertisement for Kieffe and Sons Ford Dealership in Mojave, Ca they state "But did you know that 86% of Americans say they believe in God? Since we all know that 86 out of every 100 of us are Christians, who believe in God, we at Kieffe & Sons Ford wonder why we don't tell the other 14% to sit down and shut up."

- BaudiIROCZ, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1I like the assumption that the 86% are christians. Simply because they believe in God does not make it the Christian God. Also why would this dealership wish to disenfrahchise 14% of the population. Seems like a horrible business strategy for me. I wonder if they give you a free bible with every purchase?
- geneusutwerk, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2Down in Missouri you can get a free gun with the purchase of a car.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUK ... - Gazoo2001, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1They probably don't give you a free bible; since everybody who comes in is a Christian, and must already have a bible, why would they need another one? ;->
- BaudiIROCZ, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1You don't keep a bible in your car? Just in case traffic slows down and you need to pray for God to make it speed back up?

- DavidJGrossman, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1Phase 1: Develop radio ad that is sure to generate controversy.
Phase 2: Wait for evangelical nutjobs like themselves to flock to their side like sheep* while everyone else points at them with derision.
Phase 3: Profit!
People like this are going to lead to the downfall of religion ... or society. Not sure which but it ain't going to be good.
* yes, it's a mixed metaphor but at least I kept it in the animal kingdom!- acparks1, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1How would a downfall of religion not be a good thing? Religion is the single greatest hoax perpetrated by humans since the development of language.
- EricMS00, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1I've started escalating the issue at the world headquarters. If they do not satisfy me, I will have my nonprofit friends blast Ford on nationwide radio.
- DavidYeah, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2Well, if a religious prosecution complex worked for Oreally Bill and the last thirty years of the Republican party, why wouldn't it work to sell a few pickup trucks?
